FLEA MARKETS TOUR - "Vide Greniers" in the South of FRANCE - Episode 2

- Welcome to the EPISODE 2 of our trip to the South of France!
My friends and I are going to hit as many "VIDE GRENIERS" as we can!!!
They are FLEA MARKETS where you can find super good deals!
They are similar to "yard sales" or "garage sales", where you can find private sellers (and the best deals also).
I'm going to take you to the BEST FLEA MARKETS "marchè aux puces" of the South of France!
During our trip, we will look for ceramics, tin trays, silk scarves, straw baskets, old plates, vintage vases, old statues and figurines, costume jewelry, beautiful old paintings, vintage clothes, and many other vintage collectibles.
You will also visit with us the center of Marseille, where we can find a small vintage shop!
In the last part of the video I will share with you our vintage haul.

The "Vide Greniers" that we visited:
Vide Greniers Frank Intermarché SAINT LOUP (Marseille 10 ème / 13 - Bouches du Rhône / Boulevard de Saint-Loup) every sunday
Vide grenier Supermarché Casino de Valmante (Marseille 9 ème / 13 - Bouches du Rhône /
Avenue de Lattre de Tassigny) every sunday
Beau Vide Grenier de la Plage (Marseille 8 ème / 13 - Bouches du Rhône / La promenade de la plage, Avenue Pierre Mendès France)

Hello👋…..I have recently discovered your channel and after watching this one have immediately subscribed… am watching others too…Really love the experience of accompanying you around the various flea markets , vintage shops and other venues…. I collect various types of vintage items, including glass ceramics , treen/ wooden box’s etc….have only once been to Italy.. briefly when in South of France , some years ago , when my sister lived there….we drove over the border from Provence… to go to Ventamiglia…to a market…for just a day!!…She was a nurse working in Cannes at the time…and I loved my visits there…so I was pleased to see you bargain hunting in that area !!!😃….Italian markets are absolutely fascinating also… really love practically everything you choose….Italian style and taste is wonderful…My great grandfather (my father’s family) was a cabinet maker…and apparently made lovely furniture…He came to England (where I am)… I think in probably the 1860s… do not know for certain…and should have asked my father more questions about his Grandfather!!!… don’t even know where in Italy he came from… maybe an area well known for furniture makers…(do you have any suggestions?? please).. His name was Pietro Franco … My father told me that for certain…He came , to work…maybe a bad time in Italy…He was a youngish man and married here…..Anyway… enough of that…!!!I look forward to all of your videos… in future… endlessly fascinating and beautiful…..by the way I have one of those lovely florentine trays I found in charity shop here….maybe my great grandfather passed his love of beautiful things to me…and maybe he was from Florence like the tray… which I love 😍… thank you so much from Sue( England)…🇬🇧 to 🇫🇷 👌👌

Your great grandfather's surname 'Franco' is quite common here in Italy, but if you check on the site "cognomix. it" you will see that it has a great diffusion in the Piemonte region!
I also like to think that my love for fashion comes from my great grandmother, she was "sawing master", and my grandmother (mother of my mother) was a tailor!
My mother is very passionate about antiques, and so here I am, super passionate about vintage fashion and collectibles!

Love love love. I have to say this episode is much better! Love the flea markets places, views and finds! Btw, you got me when you said you can get the new H&M clothes for €5. It is because I always feel the same whenever I find expensive used H&M clothes while thrifting here 😂.
😂😂😂 Yes that is because we like to hunt for VERY good deals!
I have also some H&M pieces, but never payed more than 2€ for an used H&M garment. 😜
And also, lately I prefer to thrift clothes from higher brands, because I started to look at the fabrics and at the quality, etc...

I started thrifting many years ago, I think when I still was a child, because my mother was passionate about antiques and almost every weekend we were going to different flea markets! I was so bored! 😂😂😂
So I started to buy CDs and t-shirts...
But it has become a true passion in the last 4 or 5 years, I would say!
Once you've started, I think you can never stop! 🤣
