    Hey mate, very insightful watching someone else pull a tranny out of a Pathfinder. I too am the R&R guy at a transmission shop here in Australia. I’ve done 3-4 now (one of which was a Murano)
    I too found the RH axle seized in the carrier bearing. I don’t have an air hammer, so proceeded to unbolt the carrier bearing with the axle.
    I left the rear exhaust manifold attached and just dropped the cat beneath it. I also have removed the battery and ECU/TCM each time, which I won’t be doing next time.
    Thank you again for the insight and tips!

    • @doingstuffwithdylan4367
      @doingstuffwithdylan4367  9 месяцев назад

      Some Nissans have a stud on the torque converter that makes it so you can only put it one way or 180 the other way but if there’s no extra studs you don’t have to worry about it some fly wheels only have two holes for the extra studs and you have to time them kind of for those holes

    What is up with these Pathfinder CVTs? Im looking at one that had replaced a little more than year ago(think he did a used one with 1 yr warranty) and its out ago 3 months out of warranty so he is selling cheap instead of replacing it again. Assuming he got a used one last time since only cane with a yr warranty? Does that sound right? And did Nissan solve any problems they had with the cvts so if i install a new one it should last?

    • @doingstuffwithdylan4367
      @doingstuffwithdylan4367  Год назад

      I don’t think they made many improvements to this model transmission But we generally install new and there’s programming that goes along with that so maybe the program is supposed to improve things. If it’s only three months out of warranty I would Imagine he would give you some sort of break on the cost of replacing it again.
