    This is so much easier than the mark III, I sold my old mark III and bought a new mark IV just because of the easy disassembly feature.

    I bought a Ruger Mark IV about a month ago and I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase thank you. Such a great pistol.

    So well done. Especially when you say don't use too much oil BECAUSE it will attract dirt. I have the Target version and I love it. Fun and inexpensive to shoot. Thanks for taking the time to post!

    I’ve had a Mark II since 1991 and I can’t believe how easy the IV comes apart and together!!! I want one!!!

    Just shot my new mk 4 today. At fifty yards, standing, I was hitting a 12" plate. Cleaning was a breeze. Thank you Ruger!

    Holy crap the mk4 is so much easier to disassemble than my mk3!

    I remember hearing stories many years ago about how annoying it was to take apart one of these Rugers and then put them back together.
    Now that they simplified the process and added the pistol to the California handgun roster, I am definitely going to be buying one in the very near future along with a SR22

      I've never even seen one of these in person, but I have about 15k rounds through a Buckmark. Takedown on the mk iv looks impressive. That grip angle is pretty extreme, though. I need to hold one to be sure.

      @@tuffguy6852 Reassembly of my Buckmarks is a nightmare trying to get the spring back in without launching the nylon piece across the room. As Crisis B says, the Mark IV was just added to the CA roster, and I just purchased one today. I may sell a Buckmark now that I have this.

    • @tuffguy6852
      @tuffguy6852 Год назад

      @LogosMediaII takedown is the only thing I don't like about my Buckmark. I don't even fully take it down anymore. I just lock the slide back and clean the best I can. I wonder if the 22/45 will become California compliant as well.

    After 45 years I moved up from my MK1 to a MK4. It was worth it just for its ease of reassembly. However, right out of the box, the trigger needs to be reworked. After that, it's a great gun.

      Same. Now it's got a dead air mask, a holosun green dot and it's one of my favorite range toys. Always puts a smile on everyone's face who shoots it.

    I literally hated disassembling and reassembly of my Mark 3. I hated that pistol. Thanks Ruger for making the Mark 4 the easiest handgun to field strip ever. Loving my Mark 4 , accurate, easy, and fun to shoot. The Ruger Mark 4 is the absolute best in it's class.

    The Mark IV is nearly perfect. I was just hoping you would start offering it in 5.7x28... especially the Hunter 6.9 and 10" Target variants.

    I bought a Mark IV when pistol stock was low and pistols were hard to find. Bought it on line because it was in stock and been looking for a .22. Had fired an older Mark II so I was familiar with the gun. This was an excellent purchase. I am very satisfied with this gun. Love shooting it. I do think it needs a sight adjustment as my shots have been off and to the left. Any advice would be awesome. (Just fyi my brothers shots were off left also) Still a great gun.

    I thought you weren’t supposed to dry fire .22 pistols. Can I dry fire my Mark4 without causing any damage?

    • @cosmicbird1850
      @cosmicbird1850 Год назад +1

      Do not dry fire it. Get some snap caps.

    • @idontcare-ct7jm

      You normally can't dry fire .22s but this pistol has a firing pin block so you can dry fire it. It is also drop safe, unlike most .22s

    A popular rumor is that cleaning the barrel bore might not be great for accuracy; resulting in having to first fire enough shoits to foul the bore before you can get reliable accuracy. Opinion?

    • @NS222
      @NS222 5 месяцев назад

      I bought the Mark IV Hunter and the shop owner told me to only clean the barrel bore once a year or when the accuracy starts to degrade. For the reasons you mentioned. So that’s what I will do but I have to say I’m very new to guns in general. :-)

    I heard you should not dry fire a rimfire firearm, but it’s done a couple of times in this video. Is that not the case?

    • @zebswinney9912
      @zebswinney9912 8 месяцев назад

      People are always going back and forth on that. Once in a while it's fine. Even the manual states it's fine to do on occasion, but if you're planning on doing a bunch of it to use snap caps.

    The way he says "piece of cake" you KNOW he's remembering the MkIII's god awful disassembly procedure. I'm pretty sure if you reassemble a Mk3 incorrectly you'll summon the cenobites from Hellraiser

    Show how 'easy' it is to actually clean the frame of a firearm that has been shot a few hundred times.

    Ruger has been experiencing employment difficulties, as no one wants to work, and those who do, are overworked. As starving becomes more prevalent because the free crap will stop, that will change. I never help people begging, especially if they have a dog, they can eat the dog.
