When watching this wonderful video for the first time, the audio was turned off and I wondered what music would be playing, thinking a piece by Ralph Vaughan Williams would be perfect. And low & behold it is ! It’s the second movement from his London Symphony. So atmospheric and spiritual, it’s difficult to consider the music is meant to represent Bloomsbury Square in London on a November afternoon. However, that’s Vaughan Williams for you, with most of his instrumental works before say 1930 being very much Pastoral in nature. So well suited to the Blue Mountains & beyond! The Kowmung River is a very special and untouched environment, so close to Sydney and must remain that way. I've been lucky enough to see parts of it & consider it a privilege. Well done Dave Noble !
that was the 1st place my parents took me camping as a 3 year old. good to see its still relatively untouched. beautiful photographs

Where about did you start and finish your hike? Would love some more info..quite interested in checking out the remoteness of the kowmung river
🔹️That would be Yowie Territory, for sure 🔹️
Beautiful! We are so lucky to have such a river so close and yet hard to reach to keep it so pristine.
Clear like liquid air, some of the best country in the Blue Mountains! Trek on!!
Please add some pics of the Kowmung in flood. They have a very different atmosphere.
Lots of Aboriginal cave paintings in this area.
