  • (Watch in HD) This is a stunning hike! The Grand Canyon Track in the Blue Mountains, Australia is one of our favourite hikes in the region. The 6.5km trek will take you down into a lush canyon filled with waterfalls, stunning cliff walls and overhangs to walk around, through and under! Depending on how high the water is in the creek, you may need to remove your shoes to cross the sandstone steps. Out of our three visits so far, 1 out of 3 required us to take our shoes off - its fun either way - or just jump into the big waterfall whilst you’re at it!
Located in Blackheath, NSW, Australia just 1.5 hours by car west of Sydney city centre, this hike is great for a day away from the city or a nice add-on to a weekend in the Blue Mountains. Enjoy the footage!
All Trailr trail reviews feature trail highlights, what to watch out for and a review at the end covering track conditions, wayfinding, lookouts, flora & fauna, and fitness intensity.

Thank you for sharing this with us.
As I live in the Blue Mountains and and hold photography workshops in this area I would like
to say thank you for showing this .
I go there on cloudy days which makes the whole area more dramatic.
    Have subscribed to your channel.
    Cheers.

Nicely shot clip. One of my favourite short walks. Beautiful scenery and easy to follow, although a bit 'touristy' at times. In fitter days I would go right down into the main valley visible at the start, as a longer day walk (Grand Canyon is a side valley). Lots of fire damage from last year, but you can see the trees regenerating (e.g. the leaves sprouting from the fire resistant/dependant gum trees at about 1.39). Used to always go the opposite way so we'd 'earn' the view at the end, but I think the climb out this way is a little easier. Would recommend this walk to anyone, but especially those getting into walking for the first time.

Wow, that's excellent. Thank you for sharing! Maybe next time we are up there, we will check that out 😁👍🏻 Agreed, it was fantastic to see the trees sprouting and recovering after the fires.

The Grand Canyon is indeed such a beautiful walk. I did this walk for the first time last November and although I wasn’t too fit, I did complete this walk but it took around seven hours. I do plan to come back to this location to do this walk again sometime this year although I may have to build up for it before I attempt it again but hopefully that won’t be too far away

Amazing place! I subscribed to your channel. I've been doing hiking videos lately as well and I'm interested to the places you've been to. How long did it take you to get back to your car after you went back up? :)

Thanks! Agreed - it is a beautiful spot! :) It is an easy 5-10 min walk along the path next to the road back to the car. Our customised Google map shows it, for reference: bit.ly/3a9aMO9
