@@VintageRadius -- Hahaha! I lived across the street from a kid that could never get the opening riff down on a bass. 4 different notes, screwed up every single time. My gf came inside from planting flowers one day and told me, "If you don't go show him how to do that right I'm going to kill both of you." We lived there 2 years and he never figured it out. I'm thinking now it was this angry taco kid.

The main riff is very very close to the studio version by Mr. Knopffler, you did a great job man. Nobody has his fingers, but your version is extremely well arranged and pays an excellent tribute to this iconic Dire Straits song.
Yeah he did a nice job. Not only that but Mark doubled his guitar track in the studio, each track was slightly different. You can hear the differences on an isolated track. v=9dVTvLgDqto

Sounds great and saying it's all pentatonic doesn't take away from how great and good that solo is. Not everything has to be sweep picking nonsense
