Not many golf coaches on RUclips even coach golf anymore! I am an active golf coach taking inspiration from live lessons to deliver relatable golf coaching content. Having worked under Pete Cowen for 3 years the information I provide really is from the top table!

Yeah. Losing a ball that you swear should be in the middle of the fairway from the tee is infuriating.

Andy you keep putting scores in your head - before you’ve even teed off ! You get in and it’s nothing like what you thought - your body language could be an area you could work on - especially when you walk off of a green - “ if I’m going to miss this I need to miss this low “ ? Sorry for saying - but that’s crazy speak -
I can tell you what happened. You didn't give a lesson before every shot. You always hit pure shots after demonstrating a concept!

Struck them well but sometimes I wonder what you,Peter,Rick and Matt want out of your golf ⛳️ is it playing tournaments or creating RUclips videos because I don’t know went playing tournaments are any of you fully committed to the grind of what it takes to
Firstly I am a golf coach. Most of my content is instructional to help golfers.
Tournament is not a priority. I play 1-2 events per year.
I love you and your channel Andy but don’t give up like that again pls! It doesn’t set the right example to our kids, your daughter is a fighter remember! Hope you take this comment in the right spirit….good luck in Ireland!
But going back to the tee and taking my 7th shot, making a 10 and being +8 is a pointless affair! plus it would have impacted my playing partners speed of play etc.
I didnt quit, I took the sensible decision and i'm fine with that.

From a high handicap view it’s not nice to see but also good see real good players have bad days lifts the mood a bit
Definitely never wish it on anyone, but it is nice to know these guys get tough breaks and have bad days like the rest of us.
2 perfect shots walk away with a double. I don't remember giving you a lesson 😂😂. Hopefully mate it means you will get some good breaks at open qualifying

None of these RUclipsrs have a prayer of Qualifying for The Open. Id be genuinely surprised if any actually made it beyond regional.
There's just too many good players around, guys who are +4 or better are getting nowhere near and these guys aren't really up to that standard.

Andy, I feel your pain, my first round at Longcross was like a dream till I doubled the 10th….then the 11th….hope to see you at the event in August!
As good as you play, it's crazy to think about golf's best hitting shot after shot perfectly (or nearly)
I think this is where having a caddie can be really valuable. Someone to settle your mind after a tough hole and get you back focused.
Damn but golf comes at you hard some times. I can really relate to your dilemma.

Hitting 3 balls off the tee has never happened to me before. So its not even clickbait!
Golf is so maddening; medal play, in particular! You can be hitting great shots, making putts, and all it takes is one bad break or bad shot to ruin a round. Is that why we love it? 🙂 Take what you learned from this round and play well at Open Qualifying. And remember, things even out, so you're owed a good bounce or two!
A few good bounces would be lovely!!
Still laughing at the video where you and Fryer claim to be better than Finch. 😂
We’ll see. Cant remember the last time finchy beat me 1v1 or in competition. Maybe tomorrow is his day
I honestly don't rate Finch that much.
To be frank, you see better players than any of these guys at most clubs up and down the land.
Pete's big problem is that he thinks he's better than he is, where in reality he's just a middle aged, club golfer standard.
To give credit to these guys, I don't think any of these RUclipsrs genuinely believe they can Qualify, it's simply guaranteed views from people who don't really understand how competitive qualifying is.
Andy just shot +1 for 18 at the same course Mr Chocolate Finch is +7 for the front 9.

Crazy bad break. Keep grinding. The game is definitely there. Aimpoint seems to have really elevated your confidence on the greens!

Sometimes, when you have too much in front of you, the choice of what to leave aside for a moment is made (unconsciously) for you.
It's tough when it happens though as we may not recognize that "it's for the best", but well... There is nothing to do about it now, so keep forging ahead !

The positive is that your putting has definitely gotten much more solid and is no longer a "weak link" in your game. It's surprising how much the "mental" part of the game comes into play, especially when spiraling downhill after the 9th hole. Chalk it up to an anomaly and you'll get back into form. ❤

None will qualify for The Open of course, but with a fair wind 1 or 2 might make it to Final Qualifying.

Probably need to work on hitting the longer iron 3/4 shot rather than hitting everything on the limit. Especially wedges moving up 1 and just grip down slightly.... probably trying to teach my granny here but smashing your gap wedge at it's limit is an all or nothing strategy
Agreed, Both shots were downhill so felt like they were playing a little shorter than the yardage so 3/4 PW scared me! particularly when the 1st flag was already at the back of the green.
love watching you do all that aim point rubbish and then smashing it past the hole.

Did you leave the course and your playing partners half way through the round just because you were no longer in a position to qualify? Perhaps you need to be carrying a dummy and a few teddy bears whilst on the golf course.

I'm not the golf police and I half expected you to get really upset about my "negative" comment but I'm sure you know where I'm coming from and you did look like you were going to burst into tears on the video. Good luck, I've been watching your stuff since the very start and it's clear you've got lots of ability, unlike me because I'm rubbish at everything.
