Funk #49 - Joe Walsh
I do not have any rights over this song. This is my first concert, and it was so good! I highly recommend seeing this band before they quit. This is just for people to watch, hopefully this video isn't taken down. This is for people who can't see the Long Goodbye Tour. Enjoy the video!
Please help my other channels out! I would greatly appreciate it!

Vince Gill is an excellent guitar player. Guys lime him and Marty Stuart are on a totally different level than many rock guitar players, especially when it comes to improvisational skills. Joe Walsh is one of those rock guitarists that's so well rounded you probably shouldn't even classify him as anything other than one of your favorite guitar players .
Don't forget Keith Urban.
gregpiazza7150: With a bit of practice, some of these Country Guitar guys could start to approach some of the Rock Guitar guys.
Vince is definitely underrated when people think of great guitar players. He can play anything and is amazing. For sure one of the best there is. I'm pretty sure he has the biggest guitar collection in the world !
@@dannyo3317The technique of many famous country guitarists equals I dare say surpasses rock guitarists. Glen Campbell. Listen to Vince Gill's Oklahoma Borderline where Chet Atkins introduced him. And Brad Paisley has shown us what we have seen. Not all he knows.
@@321novrainGlen Campbell maybe the best that ever lived outside jazz greats.
I used to think of Vince Gill as a country singer, then I saw him onstage at the Crossroads Guitar Festival and realized that he can share the stage with ANY guitarist.
Vince Gill is one of those guys that could fit in any band whether it’s the Eagles or Guns N’ Roses.
The fun Joe Walsh exhibits is infectious
That stuff really is infectious to watch and I swear you can hear it in the playing too. Like how people comment on the EVH’s smile when he’s playing almost as much as the actual playing. Lol Check out the Faces RRHOF induction sometime and watch Ronnie Wood playing. That dude was basically having an orgy with the guitar and the audience. It’s almost impossible to watch it without a big ole smile on your face. Except for the obligatory stank face if you play the perfect blues lick, every guitar picker should look exactly like that when they play. Lol
Joe Walsh is fantastic. I’m old enough to remember the James Gang.
Me too Bro!!💯💯
Yes! Funk #49, Walk away 'James Gang Rides again '-- fond memories indeed 🙄💖👌🤙
still have the album...@@richardbarrick1492
The Smoker you Drink the player you get.
Never stopped playing Joe or the James Gang!
I never get tired of listening to Vince Gill!
I got to randomly meet him at a guitar show in Nashville last weekend and he is one of the most genuinely humble and down to earth people I've ever met. We chatted for 5 or 10min about all his gear and the differences between new and vintage guitars. It was a highlight of my life to get to hang with him! He even tried to talk me into buying this 57 Strat he was passing on that was "only" 22 GRAND! I told him I'd be a divorced Baptist preacher if I bought that and he said "that's why you gotta learn to hide these things from your wife!" LOL!
I watched them in Philly 3rd row, Joe is the best! He said it was easier being 20 in the 70’s …. Then being 70 in the 20’s and then he took off on Funk 49 what a legend!
Two of the very best paired off! It don't get any better than that!😊😊
Yes it gets much better than this. Felder and Walsh was much better than this.
Personal opinion, no offense please!
Felder and Walsh still #1. Absolutely no disrespect to Vince.
Felder and Walsh were awesome together but we will never see that happen with the Eagles
Me too. I remember when Funk 49 came out. I have read elsewhere that people think these guys compete with each other on stage. I don't think anything could be further from the truth. They're too old for that crap. They are just having fun playing and jamming together, and enjoying life. Saw them in January and the money for the second row center seats was worth EVERY penny !
Joe's intensity in his face while picking is enjoyable to watch. ... The both of their talent is amazing and awesome. ... God Bless
What the hell happened to his face? He looks like Joan Rivers!
@@JB-rr1or Looks like he went under the knife.
Joe Walsh! Love the old James Gang songs and Vince hangin in there!
Talk about 2 guys havin' fun!!!
Joe's facial expressions says it all! One sweet jam.
Strat vs Les Paul. BOTH sound great in the hands of these two icons!!!!
Always considered Joe Walsh as a strat guy deeply in his heart
Gimme that beautiful Strat
We are allowed to love both guitars!! Can't go wrong with either.
@@legchyloyanishevskyyvolod3005
Joe loves LPs too... He sold Jimmy Page's famous "#1" LP to him back in the day.
Joe had another one, and insisted that Jimmy had to have this awesome '59... the rest is history. 🤘😎
Vince usually plays a Tele
I saw the Eagles in 2019 at the first direct arena in Leeds. They were awesome. Joe Walsh is the Eagles for me. All the songs were brilliant but there's an extra special chill runs down my spine when I hear Hotel California these days. If only Don Henley would get his head out of his arse. It would be great to see Don Felder on stage next to Joe Walsh again.
JW and Fingers were a formidable call and response pair. Up there with Duane and Dickey for intuition.
Wow!!! Guitar heaven ❤
So glad Vince is with the eagles
Both tremendously good at listening.
We should all take note.....
What a joy!
Both of these guys really know how to play guitar. Both are major talents anyway you look at it.👍👍
Love to see them let Vince cut loose , Joe is just a whole show within himself 😎❤️🎸🎶
Joe's a great bunch of guys and a great bunch of shows too! :)
I had the privilege of seeing the Eagles in person in Des Moines at Wells Fargo Arena on their farewell tour. Watching those two jam together onstage was a trip !!!!!!
Will you're a darn lucky dog
from 1972 ~ to 2023 Eagles,
The great American band..
A trio of great guitarists. Walsh, Steuart Smith, and Vince Gill. The latter two are underrated but great players!
Seen the eagles twice in the 80s
Saw The Long GoodBye Tour in Phoenix, best concert I've ever been to.
These guys are great! Joe and Vince are both legends.
No shadow there,both on fire.
Wow, great stuff.
Thanks for posting.
Really enjoyed this.
😁👊👍💪
While the amazing work of two very talented legends are at the forefront of this video, let’s not overlook the mastery of Timothy B. Schmidt on the bass guitar. 🤘🙏🏼🤘
Caught that! 🔥
wow it’s funky still❤❤❤🔥👏
Great to see Vince getting funky!
Joe is looking old (I can say that because I’m old too😂) but lawd have mercy how he can still shred!!
I love seeing two of my top ten guitarists killin’ it!
James Gang, solo career and now the Eagles….. First class artist!
Jesus, Looks like Joe Walsh has had some Plastic Surgery on that FACE. He can play the GUITAR like a Mother. But leave the Plastic to the Women.
That was awesome! Thanks you, A Guitar's Purpose!
Wow! Love these guys! Pure talent!
Two of the best !!👍❤️🎸🎸
A Gibson and a fender, what a great duel
WOW!!!
Two of the best guitar slingers ever.
It's like Hotel Carolina. Two guys who just LOVE their guitar music and play it so well.
This is so damn good I had to listen to it again. Incredible.
I had the privilege to see the Eagles in concert a few weeks ago in Houston....It was truly AMAZING, brought back so many memories from the 70's.
Gotta love it when two music legends get together!
Talk about "call and response!!!" WOW. Thanks for posting this.
What I hear is Joe’s guitar tone. It’s always right friggin there!
I would like to see Don Felder with them for a show before it all ends.
Funkin it up, like a Jaguar with an antelope, killed it
The Hotel California Tour was one of the best musical experiences of my life. I was blown away.
Go guys!!!
Iconic!
This is terrific!😮
Vince Gill can go 12 rounds with ANYBODY. Joe Walsh has become his own adjective. What a delight to see these two smokin' together.
I don't know about anyone else, but I am so glad that Joe Walsh didn't quite grow up! His child-like joy and enthusiasm are infectious.
Joe Walsh is a national treasure.
Love this 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Not enough people know what a phenomenal picker/string player of multiple different instruments Vince Gill is.
Amazing!
Simply, great.
So awesome
I learned this song when I was 16 and it still rings hard in my head.
Awesome video thanks ❤
Heck yeah!!! That was awesome!!!
Walsh still has it !
@@helmuthareJoe is prettier.
@@markspeltz2074 😂😂
Yeah, I can't believe how good his voice is, for an old guy.
Master class!!!
So much talent out of both of them but I'm a huge Vince fan. Got to chat with him for a few minutes one time and what a humble cool guy. Jealous of that talent.
Vince Gill what can you say one of the best very underappreciated. I heard he's one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Down to earth regular guy would love to have the opportunity to meet him one day. Thank You Vince For All You've shared with us over the years.
Excellent!
Master Class!
Love it
Pretty good duel going there! Great stuff
I saw Joe Walsh live in 1976. We were up against the stage and what I remember most, besides his talent, was how big his feet were! The things you remember when you’re a youngster….😁😁
two of the greats
Two of my heroes. Ever noticed that Clapton invites them to crossroads? There’s a reason for that.
This Odd Couple has a wonderful musical chemistry! I had the pleasure to see them about 3 years ago, skeptical when they stepped out but that skepticism quickly was replaced with audio pleasure!
I just saw this in LA at the Forum. Joe walked acroos the stage and he and Vince wnet back and forth. Insane it was.
Dam guys stop being so darn good ! lol ! That was awesome ~!
Can't wait to see them !
We saw them last week, they were awesome!
Vince Gill is so underrated. The man can play!!! People think he is just country, no Vince is guitar and music. He is amazing.
He’s not underrated in Nashville
Now that’s awesome 😮❤🎉
VERY VERY COOL!!!!
Those ole boys can still gring it up with the best. Thanks guys.
Beautiful music the les paul and the fender together 😎
Vince Gill fits in the Eagles band like a glove.
Joe is one of my favorite guitar players
Wow that was great!
James Gang Rides Again is vital a LP in American Rock history!!
2 of the top tier greats!
Vinny is one of the most under rated musicians on the planet. The guy can hand with the best of the best all day, every day.
Very nice
Two musical Einsteins, unbelievable.
We’re so lucky to have Art in our lives
Both superb players!
Great - would love to see them on the 2024 Farewell tour, but sadly unwilling to pay the obscenely greedy ticket prices.
It will be their what…13th farewell tour?
No way would I pay for all their toys and I have been a fan since the 1970’s.
Saw them on the Hotel California tour
It is well worth it.
Here the worst seats in the house were $150 and it escalated sharply from there. Greedy?? I'd have to say yes to that
Joe's got a guitar buddy to play with! you can tell he loves it.
i was there. great show
Listen to these 2 guys TEAR IT UP 🎸🔥 !!!!! And Vince, not missing a step head to head with a long famous Guitarist in Joe. He's a killer player in his own right. 😎
Absolutely Awesome!
Damn...that was good!
That's badass..
This was your first concert?
Im in my early 40s and its recently dawned on me that I've not been to many concerts before, so I'm starting to make up for it now.
I saw the Eagles in Manchester (UK) at the weekend and they were amazing. All of them fine musicians and their vocal harmonies were perfect, but to me, Joe Walsh was such an entertainer, with charm and wit.
I'm still buzzing after seeing their performance.
wow joe walsh looks like joan rivers!
Ur mom
Wow...is all I can say!!
Becha can't do that, what a pair of just pure county shred.
Kick ass, Joe.
I’ve always thought of Vince Gill as an awesome player. He’s also a monster Bluegrass player as well!
Anyone who is familiar with bluegrass players recognizes that a bluegrass musician can hold his own against any other guitarists!
Vince, during interviews talks about his use of “Triads” in his guitar playing which allows him to use multiple chord inversions to play along the neck/fretboard.
Both he and Joe W. are amazing players and we’re lucky to be living at a time where we can enjoy them.
New boy in town
My grandma looks good playing along with Mr Gill…!!!
What can be said here? Pure beauty
Don’t know much about Vince Gill but Joe is one of my favorites and seeing the joy on his face in that duo riff was nice!
Vince grew up here in my hometown of Oklahoma City. Lots of Bar Band gigs. Finally joined Pure Prairie League and made a name for himself in country music. He’s an absolutely awesome picker. With a beautiful velvet voice. Great addition to the Eagles. And really a dream come true for him
