There is absolutely nothing he doesn't sound good playing or singing and he's not in constant spotlight. No politics. Just jams. He still sounds the same soulful self he always had. Great job on this song

I remember seeing Vince in one of if not his very first band “Mt Smoke” a bluegrass band open for Kiss in 77 I think. They got booed off the stage. Vince flipped off the audience. I’ve appreciated Vince ever since his days with Pure Prairie League I wouldn’t go see Kiss now if you gave me front row tix and a limo to get me there.
you know the difference between a rock music fan and a country music fan? Have your favourite country band drop a great classic rock song at their show and the fans will know it and love it. Have your favourite rock band drop a great country music classic (other than your standard Johnny Cash song) and the fans will want to leave.
Lewis Black once said Amy Grant (his wife) and Vince Gill were so nice he almost converted from Judaism. Of course it was a very back handed compliment. But he well meant it!
Vince is too humble, he’s right there at the top of the list as both a musician and a vocalist. Pure God given talent.
