this song always brings a tear to my eye. It has a very good place in my heart, a memory of old friends and a ton of grinding while laughing and enjoying my favorite tales game of the series!
It's a gmae that almost anyone can understand and identify with, because a lot of other tales of games had a core idea or question, and Abyss was supecifically about identity, what it means to be you, and what you mean along side other people. at the end of the day luke was luke, regardless of whether he was a clone or not, and it's the whole struggle and self doubt about his identity and ultimately coming to that conclusion that made this game maybe my most favorite game of all time. the score is great, and the themeing of the title of the songs are great as well, as it really dives deep into the theme of identity, of "the meaning of birth" and of course the song Karma is great too. you probably already know this, but the song is literally about a plane of glass balls, and taking one of those glass balls out. the light shines through, and whether you replace the glass ball with another one or not, whether the glass ball is dirty etc etc, it talks about the idea of identity "your place in the world" and it's literally luke and asch, where luke replaced asch and then knowing that, was he a dirty glass ball? was he his own glass ball? was he truely meant to be where he was at that point, knowing now he wasn't the original? and i love how almost every aspect of the game points to, again, this theme of identity. sorry i ranted, but i FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME Q ^ Q IT'S SO WELL MADE AND ALMOST NO ONE TALKS ABOUT IT YA'LL CAN TAKE YOUR FINAL FANTASIES AND SHIT, TALES OF THE ABYSS IS THE ONLY THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD I WILL STAN AND YOU CAN'T TELL ME OTHERWISE
