Thanks for writing lyrics for me Emii! I've tried doing lyrics for this song on multiple occasions but the rapid pacing and the muddy translation with all the marble metaphors was impossible for me. This song has been on my to-do list for years and I could never get the lyrics or the vocals to sound right until now. J-Rock usually isn't my forte since I have very limited belting skills, but somehow it worked ok here. Thanks for listening!

I still listen to this all the time. Not because I wrote the lyrics to it, but for the singing. Jefferz, you just sing it so well and with all the right emotion. I don't think anyone could have sung it better than you did.

They did a 3DS re-release much later on. That could of gotten english lyrics. but nah

Dude I love Yuri too! I actually got Vesperia a few months ago and it instantly became my favorite game so I looked for more tales now that I've been sucked into the fandom and I got Abyss for christmas. Love your cover so much!!
I highly recommend Tales of Symphonia for the Nintendo Gamecube. If it says anything, Namco liked it so much, for their tenth anniversary of the Tales series, they made a sequel to the game, Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the New World. Be it a very poor sequel, having absolutely no relation to the original, but still, the thought counts.
@@Kirbachu5 to be fair, it still held up as a good game. It just somehow managed to be like chrono cross, but better in most aspects.
Mm... There are some major improvements I would love to see on this. For one thing, some of the lyrics just sound -silly- due to how simply redundant they are...
"I am calling for you, can you hear my distant calls for you?" could be changed... Perhaps to "I am searching for you, can you hear my distant calls for you?" for some reason when I heard the first one, it sent up a number of red flags with me that seemed to make me roll my eyes a little.

-> "A lone glass bead rolls away without a sound,

Also, if you don't mind my asking - did you change the lyrics from the original japanese in term of the meaning in some cases? I remember there was a number of the original translations that spoke of a place "Meant for two but is now shared by one"?
It's still really beautiful though :3 And thanks for the kick of nostalgia. I absolutely loved ToA as a kid and this really did hit me in a soft spot.

This is the only decent English cover of this song on RUclips. With so much singing talent out there, there should be a lot more covers of this beautiful song floating around. It’s a tragedy that there aren’t.

The reason I say this now is because the first time I heard this sung in English a Female Fandubbed it and I fell in love with it. But now that her vid was deleted and I have heard MeroMeroSaharade do Inuyasha's Fukai Mori, I have fallen in love again!!

There are so many possibilities of great songs that don't have English covers: Tenkuu no Kanaria, Ho-n-to-u-so, Kaze wa Harukana Asu wo Shiru, Negai... >w

These are very good lyrics, I do have some gripes with some of the flow of certain parts, such as the "eternally" part. And there's a part where the vocals just yells out GO! caught me off guard, but hey what do I know about music? Overall though, my favorite english cover of this song.
Honestly I really love this song and it's just so hard to find a good version that's in english.

why do the English version is better than the Japanese one? Usually i dont really like when its not with original voices, but i really like this one nice job!
My best guess is that the japanese singer's voice is a little hard to heard because he whispers the lyrics but the music is still good.
There no English version just music!! But I disagree with you the Japanese version still amazing after all I'm in love with lyrics of this song the most and the original band is just amazing in that ;)

Not yet, the original English license by Bandai fell through when they went closed their US branch of operations. FUNimation recently acquired the license to this show about half a year ago but has yet to announce any release plans with it yet.

Can you guys sing tales of graces opening song white wishes or Tales of Xillia opening Progress or Tales of Xillia 2 opening Song 4 you or all of them?!
Unfortunately this group only focuses on covering anime theme songs and neither or those have been adapted to anime. We've done Tales of the Abyss and Danganronpa songs because they have had an anime adaptation but outside of that we don't cover video-game songs, sorry!
