Refreshing to see a different side of Qatar. Mainstream media didn't show this, but wanted to focus on negative issues and narrative about this beautiful country and beautiful people. Thanks Rio 👌🏿
You do realise they put on a show. Just like Russia put on a show last time. It's not a completely accurate representation to what it's like in normal times. They even paid fake fans, that just shows how much they've been trying to control the narrative/perception.

I bumped into Rio a few years back and asked for a picture. With hindsight I feel awful as he was on the move inside an airport but what an absolute gentleman he was and so incredibly humble.
A true legend for our club and country. I only hope he will still be around to watch when I have kids, as he is still proving to be a great role model and inspiration beyond his playing career.

@Alexander Harris Alexander it was 10x better than brasil. Just because brasil are a footballing country don’t mean they hosted a good tournament. So many robberies and muggings, hotels were poor quality. Only thing they topped was footballing culture but that’s it. As a whole this World Cup was amazing
Much love and respect to Rio for just having that open mindedness and humbleness to recognise that differences and variation in culture and ways of life is a good thing. If we were all the same, life would not progress. The fact that different people's have their own traits.. allows us all to contribute in our own ways. If we were all the same we'd contribute the same more or less. The higher levels of differences creates more ideas and thus more progress so long as we understand and embrace this idea.

Being a Man Utd fan, so good to see Rio exploring the food, the hospitality, and the culture of Qatar. I've been to Qatar numerous times mainly as 2 day stopovers to get to South East Asia, other Arab countries, Seychelles or Maldives but the stopovers are definitely worth it to visit this amazing city of Doha. Always liked Rio as a player since his West Ham days but love a lot of his interviews since his retirement - so fresh and real
