The issue is common across many Arab countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Lebanon, Syria, and Egypt. If you're a foreign worker from a non-Western country, the treatment can be particularly harsh. They tend to favor and treat Westerners, especially white people, much better, almost to the point of idolizing them.

Next, Qatar recruits workers through third party companies STILL using the Kafala system. We have numerous recent public accounts of migrant worker abuse. Also, if you believe that the Zanzibar slave trade benefited the slaves you are believing the lies of your government. No one wants to be a slave. They made the best of their situation like we do. To me Qatar is one of the US's strongest allies definetly more than Israel. They hosted US troops in war in middle east while Isreal didnt. It's strange how they split the money they make between all the natives from there. Kuwait is just like this too. There are still countries in Africa that have slaves. So wierd to me. But when you look at history there have been slaves since before BC. you can say since the very begining of time. 97.9 % of us come from slavery somewhere in our background. Only the very bluest of blood royals who kept on marrying royals have zero % slavery in their linage. I dont know if I could live in Qatar or Kuwait had a riend serv all of his millitary career there. He really liked it. Have great travels!!!!!

Shit , I'll be passing through Doha in a few weeks time. And to think that Qatar hosted the world Cup last year . Let's hope the oil and gas run out soon and Qatar is reduced to poverty. Soon. Migrant workers are treated as slave labour. The same could be said of all the gulf states.. And they fund AlJazeera tv.
Wait, how did I miss the good side of Qatar? African American woman here! ☝🏽😊 I am new here, so maybe I have to scroll down. I visited UAE, which is similar to Qatar, I hear. I found it wonderful and hospitable. Perspective is everything. Like America, countries in The Middle East (TME) are evolving. I also witnessed some of the workers and learned some stories about the conditions of contractors. However, it did not dampen my experience as a tourist. My hotel was affordable and 5-stars. My taxi was a Lexus and the mall was a shopper’s fantasy. I felt super safe too. The food was delicious and it was easy to get around because everyone spoke English. I had a dinner cruise on the Creek. The public restrooms have bidets, a bonus…and people smelled so good! As a woman, I only saw foreign workers staring but none bothered me. The laws that preserve modesty in their communities didn’t bother me because I am modest here in America. Some say strict, I say modest. I found the Adhan (call to prayer) sounding over the city to be spectacular to witness. I love Muslims. Watching shops close temporarily for prayers and reopening was amazing and different. I hope those who love safe travels and culture venture to TME. It’s like no place else on earth.
When we pray BTW I stand with Bahrain & Qatar sorry about the first part but yeah may god bless that nation Allahu Akbar Subhan Allah AllahUmma Ameen 🌸🇶🇦🌸 🌸🇧🇭🌸

I don’t know why this video has to paint such a negative image of a country you’ll find very appealing once you understand where theyre coming from. Peace and love from Kenya 🙏🏽
I've been here for the past 11 years, so far, so good
It's beautiful to find that place that you fit into. Hats off to you!
Very informative video, thanks for sharing. That part of the world is very traditional and conservative.
Awesome video❤.
Still the highest salary to immigrants.
Nop😮
😂😂😂😂😂😂
We sometimes forget that these countries don't invite you to come to them , so dont talk bad about them 😢
I didn’t know this country specifically is doing this but I’m not shocked. The Europeans learned to take our people from them. Some of our people say they are Arab and not black (meaning of the ethnicities of the continent)..
Beautiful. I will need a travel buddy for that one though.
I understand!
If you guys come to Uganda.. PLEASE get out of the big city and visit/stay in HOIMA!! I've been saying that I'm going to move to Hoima for over a year now but business has kept me in Northern Uganda... But before getting out of Gotham City (Kampala) you gotta connect with Africa Ever After.. and my good Friend TJ with SUBI Shop in Uganda
Good to see you on these airways
Qatar is a safe and secured country
The grass is not always greener on the other side
They haven't been paid in 7 months . The math isn't adding up.
You guys should visit Thailand. Enjoy your videos
We love Thailand. Lived there before we were serious on youtube. Definitely a place we'd go back to.
There is many dark truths.
If I'll get any social media anonymous I'll explain there😢
Yes they don't allow you drink publicly and sex like animals right 👍 if you have dare Post it there 😊
It looks beautiful, i wanna visit. Thanks for the beautiful vlog
Enjoy. It is beautiful.
Sorry to say this, but any Arab countries never been fair and kind to black people...and that's a fact
Like you said it’s a beautiful country but definitely has some blemishes . Thanks for the video.

They treat the Asian workees (indian, pakistani, sri lankan, filipinosetc) horribly there
I think the spotlight on the workers in Qatar wasn’t what they bargained for 😮 Looking forward to your content from Africa!
Very interesting History lesson! Gracias Yarbros!! Love your content!
Hola de Tlaquepaque! Do you think you can go back? Thanks for talking truth.
The guy that yall know is he single 😂
Shit , I'll be passing through Doha in a few weeks time.
And to think that
Qatar hosted the world Cup last year . Let's hope the oil and gas run out soon and Qatar is reduced to poverty. Soon. Migrant workers are treated as slave labour.
The same could be said of all the gulf states..
And they fund AlJazeera tv.
I disagree with most of this , on my forth year so far so good
We're glad you found your spot.
THAT'S WHY THERE'S NO RESTRICTIONS IN MY DAILY LIFE
I was hella profiled at the Doha airport. followed around for 7 hours. i have dreadlocks ...Lol
The title of the video is very misleading!
I didn't think so, but everyone is welcome to an opinion.
Far from the truth ....not sure who paid you to reflect such image .!
When we pray BTW I stand with Bahrain & Qatar sorry about the first part but yeah may god bless

At least they control their own resources. Africa can learn a lot from them. In regards to making the most of its resources!
