Never was a perfect market timing for Nvidia's GeForce RTX 2060. The performance and the innovative features was always there but the cost was a concern compared to the new and used GPU prices. Considering my total amateur video and audio editing skills, I believe this is my best effort so far, thus among the most difficult projects I ever made so far. Both me and Bella Novella hope you enjoy the final outcome. 🙂 P.S. I have to mention something that for reasons it got lost during the script reduction process. NVIDIA had the amazing idea to spin up, under the Frankenstein GPU market, an updated version of RTX 2060 with a bit more tensor/RTcores, boosted clocks and 12GB GDDR6 VRAM. The idea was to fight GPU shortages and help min... ehhh gamers to buy a new card for a very reasonable price ranging from 650 to 850 US dollars.

That card is bad, because it has more vram than its bus memory allows it to use, meaning it's too slow for 12gb of vram. I recently tested a 1060 6GB in Far Cry 6 at almost max settings and the vram consumption was at 4/6GB but the gpu was at 100%. I have a 1660 super and im waiting for the 3060ti to drop to $500 in Europe.
@@KingKRool91 Yeah I remember a few years ago people said GTX 960 4GB/GTX 1060 6GB are overkill with their VRAM, only to realize that they aged much better than the 2GB/3GB counterparts. Trust me, in 3 years and RTX 3060 will just be better deal than RTX 3060 Ti which for some reason only has 8GB of VRAM.
Yep, when Nvidia released RTX 3050, I said to myself - "It deserves my glance only with msrp price". This moment will not come yet, so Nvidia will manage without my money. Main problems of 3000s and 6000s series today - in best case they offer similar performance for the same price compared to previous series and there is NO budget GPUs, RX 6400 and 6500XT have their specifics against older cards. Frankly, used Sappfire RX 580 which was bougt for 85usd still enough for me and I'd better swap to future R7_6800G APU without crying, than buy a dGPU for 300+usd (I can, but I won't when AMD and Nvidia compete as never). RayTraicing - I'd better taste it somehow later when cards with RT will be everywhere at the modest price than play on overvalued card.
The rumours are that Intel discrete gpus are to be cancelled due to unexpectedly high manufacturing costs. Though isn't it obvious that nurturing and investing in a new direction requires a sacrifice that doesn't yield immediate profits?
This is what exactly I was thinking. From what I can read from all these news and rumors is that the graphics department had a grace period that is just over. But I don't see a total termination of the ARC project. Is too far fetched.
The R7 1700 is definitely a bottleneck at 1080p, even the i3-12100 would yield better frames and frame time consistency with both the GTX 1070 / Ti and RTX 2060
@@obnot I agree that the initial launch price and timing was the main focus, I just wanted to point out that it's important to minimize CPU binds since any given card is only worth its max performance. Which in the current market, a 1070 / Ti or 2060 may be more appealing since prices are finally much lower and *most* modern CPUs have been shown to yield higher fps or at the very least much better 1%/0.1% lows for a smoother experience overall (at least in 1080p--1440p and beyond are typically GPU bound in most cases and the CPU matters less) I still enjoyed the video, and was pleasantly surprised to see an OG non-x Ryzen 7 perform as well as it did. :)

@@obnot I follow a mindset that if it's not broke, then you don't need to fix it necessarily :) I only really upgraded from my R5 2600 because of the release of the 5600 and it's subsequent price drop by $50 within only 1 month of it's release. Otherwise I try to get the most out of my hardware as long as possible, which is why I'm still using the same b450 board that was originally paired with the 2600. It still serves all of my needs, and the 3060 Ti I just got (finally!) doesn't seem to be impacted all that much by PCIe gen 3 since the mobo doesn't support gen 4. I partially agree. The so far results from the gaming community prove that FSR Dlss upscaling and sharpening techniques are working better with higher that 1080 res. I wouldn't cast away DLSS FSR at 1080, especially DLSS. On the other hand, non of the 3 games I tested, have integrated sharpening slider. So, If you are talking about the NIS, I have very mix feelings about it. Beyond the NIS technique I am not aware of any other way of image sharpening a native resolution using Nvidia cards.
@@obnot well it depends on monitor + its settings monitor has its own sharpness slider and u can also try reshade it has luma sharpen and cas sharpening also using it with native just makes image so much crisp and sharp

Did I just randomly stumbled upon a underrated, low subscriber channel with insanely good content? Wow.
Amazing video btw.
Thank you sir.
Fantastic!!! Congratulations!! It is a perfect work! AAA class audio-video! 👋
very interesting topic. i hope you keep doing more these kind of content
Yes we will, thank you for the affirmative comment.
Good video and a soothing voice, looks like you will go places.
Well done. :-)
Thank you for the nice comment and for the subscription.
I like how FSR gives older Cards like the 1070 a longer Lifespan.
Me too, let's hope it will take a long time until Nvidia will stop the drivers updates for pascal architecture.
Thanks. Love your videos. The channel I was looking for.
Very interesting narration. Thank you.

I bought the 3060 12gb this year. Couldn’t be happier. My last gpu was 1060

I find your purchase strategy pretty solid. Even though RX 580 isn't the top mainstream GPUs right now it got some extra lifespan points with FSR.

That's very true, even though the final conclusion even with a better CPU would remain the same.

Unfortunately. Even the new DLC Hot Wheels that they promoted as ray tracing ready, it doesn't implement in game RT.
Dlss or fsr is no go for 1080p u can try quality but native + sharpening effect in 1080p always win .
