I've been making these for 45 years but I've always known them as Russian Teacakes. So many different names, Russian Teacakes, Mexican wedding cookies, Italian wedding cakes. All names fir the BEST cookie ever!!!!!❤

My husband's favorite cookie is Russian Tea Cakes, which are just like these Mexican Wedding Cookies. Then I was at a Christmas party about 10 years ago and my friend served Swedish Tea Cakes. My husband asked me to bake these for him. So that's what I've been baking since. They are also similar to Mexican Wedding Cookies. I have been baking 7 recipes of different European-style cookies since then. Except for this year!! I also look for cute boxes or tins. I love your channel, Rachel...

These are my favorite Christmas cookies. My daughter is a wonderful baker and she makes them every year for me and my son-in-law, who is Mexican. My mom would make these throughout the year, but she lived on the wild side and put the powdered sugar on the cookies while they were still really warm 😂 I miss those cookies, I haven’t had them since she passed away in 2015. I might have to try making them myself, happy memories 😊

I have used whole wheat flour which gives them even more of a nutty flavor. Have never tried the cinnamon but it sounds like a delicious addition.

My mom made these when I was a little girl! She called them Russian Tea Cakes, but the only difference is she didn’t use cinnamon, otherwise they’re the same which is really neat! I can’t wait to try making them and add the cinnamon! 😊

It's beginning to look like Christmas cookie baking my dear and wonderful friend. And these cookies are one of my favorites and will be made along with 15 other variety of cookies and treats. I make these too however I have never added Cinnamon! I bet those were delicious with Cinnamon! I sometimes add red or green sprinkles to the powdered sugar and they look festive! 👍I totally agree… they make a GREAT gift for Christmas!🎄

These look sooooo delicious. I like a your recipe. I have been watching a lot of these recipes. Your’s looks the most Delicious! I like how You did it completely by hand. I don’t mind using my Hand mixer but it really is a lot of work to bring out my big, heavy stand mixer. I also loved Your portioning the cookies with a teaspoon. Not everyone has the cookie scoops.
