IF policing is suddenly reduced in areas of higher relative 'robbable' wealth, it would not at all be unreasonable to presume that some protracted length of time would ensue until new market prices emerge that match the current level of demand for security. In the meantime, the security vacuum pulls into the area those most prepared to exploit the situation, many of whom come from surrounding communities. If rich people were somehow prevented from hiring private security, no markets would emerge to facilitate those transactions. All categorical sub-divisions derived from that trade would disappear, constraining the returns to economies of scale that from thence would emanate, introducing a floor beneath which the utility of prices evaporates, forcing from the market products and services previously marketable at those lower prices.

You would think that a good reporter would go and interview the police who patrol the streets on their view of crimes.

I want people to understand that criminals in California are treated like victims.. in California you never want to be a victim in court.. imagine being robbed and the courts make you feel guilty for having money..

I want Justice Reform but WTF we cannot have balance in this country? First time you can be lenient. But if someone shoplifts 10 or 20 times at some point the full weight of the law should come down on them!

Gascón needs to go. And we also need to repeal Proposition 47, which he was the author of, and which has led to an explosion of crime. If you live in LA, please sign the recall petition!

Recall him and vote for the Moscow DA who got 9 years for Brittany Griner. Criminals need to stay in jail not get out a day later so they can commit more crimes. Jails are not supposed to be comfortable.

Compare these policies to those of El Salvador. El Salvador was plagued by gangs for decades when they were soft on crime. I invite you to watch how the country is doing today VS LA a once beautiful city until mid 2018. The complete opposite.
