Eh her lack of range really holds her back quite a bit, also the fact they still didnt make her teleport on command with her doll traps, it would make a lot of sende, obviously leave the fear on a talent but a teleport on basekit would make her very viable
fair point with the range argument but having regular range would be op, deffo buff it like another 40 to 50 units but nowhere near to the standard range
My favorite play style is haunted grounds Tanky Kasumi, maxed out Folk tales placing down dolls on flanks paying attention in order not to tp mid enemy team, picking loners off, it's my favorite play style
I have a theory that Kasumi performs well because she is so bad that no one plays with her, so when someone uses her well, no one is used to countering her, it's like Fernando's dashes deck, it's not the best but where Nobody plays against it, they don't know how to stop it.
After playing her for awhile recently to get good with her.. I think she lacks range, her not being able to hit enemies who are invisible from any distance, buggy, but she is fun and can be very viable
She just... needs her bugs fixed. Maybe give her a little more range and she'll be golden. She's almost there, and I'm hoping EM doesn't give up on her still... These are all the stuff I would fix and add to Kas to make her more balanced: -ult cancels and refunds (at least 30%) if target dies before it activates, but make it so the projectiles don't appear anymore as well (she gets no value for failed ult) -fix no-reg on normal stab. If they could make it do damage immediately instead of waiting for the actual stab, that would help -fix bug with Haunted Ground where she can't teleport underneath Wader Gate point and under tunnels at point in ice Mines -fix trigger scent, liferip, wrecker, bulldozer to properly stack with curse -fix body and soul taking full damage for a short while when deactivating. Making the DR stop after she is back in Body would fix this -fix the bug of her coming back to Body with B&S when in certain CC or in certain terrain -keep momentum when going out of B&S (let her keep momentum of jumping up if the duration finishes mid-jump) -make curse application refresh all curse durations instead of having a timer separate for each application -make nimble work while in B&S -add a little more range to her, perhaps 10-30 more units with falloff as long as she DOESN'T get any damage BUFFS, these fixes and additions, I feel, will probably put her in the perfect place
Here me out change the middle talent to Whare you can place one doll on the ground and allys in the area heal for a small but decent amount and enemies that enter the area gain one stack of curse every five seconds OR alow a doll to be put onto one person healing the and every ten seconds if they damage a enemy the enemy gains one stack of curse
so design wise she is ok (depending who you ask) so she needs to be polished to be bug free (with the main weapon and the scaling on wrecker and such, etc) and she would be finally playable?
If she got more base HP then she’d be a decent duelist. She also needs more range but have fall off Edit: even better they can make the stacks into something like Caspian where every time she hits an enemy with primary it gives her stacks to do more DMG so that way she wouldn’t have to e Ethereal issue
@Joesieyu I mean they can change it to have it like Caspian stacks where it’s not on the enemy so she can just deal more dmg to others without the need to try to stack it up multiple times if it gets cleansed

I’m still upset they changed how her weapon responds, from pressing trigger each time you want to shoot to pressing once and holding… I personally have such hard time tracking and having control over how I hit someone I can’t stand it.
Im a kasumi main and there are just some matches u cant win if the opponents are grouped up and your team isnt coordinated u do nothig same with maps that are big, kasumi cant escape from anyone
Kasumi, could and should be a better champ. I find her squishy and annoying to use most of the time now but i put a lot of work into her when she came out. Her nerfs were good and bad in my opinion based on a personal play style. I think she needs a total rework though.
When Casumy fights against Evi Zhin Koga, these characters will use the skill for temporary invincibility. this resets the curse level. and Casumy shoots these characters at 300 dm and not at 500+ dm and loses. You could Master Andrew, duel Casumy Vs good Koga? 🙏 kindest regards.
Call me delusional but i feel as she pierces a voodoo doll her main attack should damage enemies behind deployed and holden shields (like Vivien or nando). Would make up for her low scale on wrecker. Wouldnt work on personal shields like torv ofc
That would make her pretty overpowered. The shields are what give tanks their ability to stand up to DPS, usually standing in for another ability such as damage reduction, CC, etc. So if you take that shield away from them, they kinda are just a low damage DPS with no movement (Most of the time) and 4k health.
she has no poke past a certain point like zhin's 3rd hit or vora's scythe. and her dmg is heavily reliant on catching unaware opponents or hitting traps to apply stacks, stacks a lot of champs can cleanse, she suffers the moji curse towards shields, a lot of champs have movement abilities that with one button press puts them out of kas range, she can't hit invis targets at all so if 7 attaches himself to a wall in the middle of a fight she can't do anything. her "movement ability" keeps her exposed and an easier target while increasing her jump hight. her only form of sustain is from cards, and for a flank her base movement speed is slow. her ttk without traps is the lowest in the flank class. her 3rd talent is near useless with you still either dying or it being a very small amount of hp, and her second is extremely buggy, and limits your dps heavily, getting kills from fear traps might be appealing, but applying a lot of stacks in multiple areas from a distance and through shields is wayyy better, so she basically only has one viable talent
On hit registration alone, it's very difficult to tell *where* she's attacking from. So unlike every other champion that shoots at you and you can instantly learn *where* they're shooting at you from, Kasumi doesn't have that. Combined with omnidirectional sound when she does hit you that doesn't help either... Now I don't know if any of these got fixed in the more recent patches, because I haven't played against any Kasumi players this split but I still have absolute hatred for Kasumi because of how she breaks the traditional rules of "where are they hitting you?"
Honestly, that may be the only thing she has going for her. She can only attack you through line of sight and being close in your face, so she's hard to miss.

It’s allowed Kasumi players to get another hit or at the worst half-a-hit in before they’re fired back. Granted high level players adapt by keeping more active tabs on the Kasumi (and from one of my friends he told me to treat her like a longer range skye) but it’s still a problem, especially if you rely on sound a lot more than sight. On paper it shouldn’t be a problem. In practice it’s a lot more of one.
I still think she should just flat see invisible people it would still make sense she’s a ghost but instead they’re giving gonna let willow fly next patch cuz she’s got wings💀💀
haunted talent kasumi, by far is her best flank route, just throwing a mine on someone when they dont suspect it and getting a free teleport kill on them. makes picking off players really easy. not alot of people will get unbound either when seeing a kasumi, they dont expect her to do well.
the entire character just needs a rework. the weapon is janky, talents are garbage. just not playable. just let her shoot from her hands like seris or something. or give her a staff. something similar to vora
Depends man, kasumis weapon is very far off from autoaim, i mean its harder to land shots with her than it is with zhin or some other projectile champions. You need actual aim with kasumi, but something like lian yeah thats disgusting

After coming back to the game 2 & half years later I’ve played Kasumi so much & honestly one of the most satisfying champions to play

The dolls are her strongest kit just some cards you would not normally use and bam max dmg.
Spirit bombs is really just for stacks and speed (with the card blood mist). It’s her easiest escape after they killed body and soul

Imo it makes no sense her traps don't have 3 charges. They aren't particularly strong anymore so I am not quite sure why this limitation is her.

thats honestly a good idea of a passive ability for kasumi. makes her more useful in certain situations
