  • The Marti report shows a low production number for this 78 Bronco, just 73 were built with paint code M & trim code FB1 combination.
It will take some work, so follow along with this project.

    Alvin,
I'd never heard of a Marti Report, so I looked it up. Learn something new every day, my friend. Thanks.
    Regards,
    John

      Hey John,
It's too bad Marti Auto doesn't have the data far enough back for our T-birds, however they do provide copies of the original invoice for 66-65 T-birds, which is interesting also.

Thanks Chuck, I was a little shocked, didn't expect it to be anything but run of the mill.

Hello Alvin. You'll have no problem pulling the little camper with it. Are the quarter panels coming from the U.S. ? I think there is a Bronco restoration parts place near me here in Michigan. Another fun project for sure.

      Hi George,
Towing shouldn't be a problem for something small to medium size...but what is really cool, is back in the day, there was a slip in camper made to fit these old Broncos. There are a few videos about them on YT, and people are still using them.
The quarter panels are AMD, but AMD doesn't ship to Canada...so I bought them through an AMD dealer in Alberta, Canada called Lost Iron. I called them, and had a good chat, very friendly and easy to deal with.
I chose the AMD panels because they got the best rating for fitment...but I'm sure they all come from pretty much the same manufacturer. 🤔

You will be driving that bronco more then the thunderbird or the truck I bet. What stripe package did it have, I couldn't find much out there with just the 2 different blue stripes. maybe its blue green white and the white isnt showing up and the green is faded. Funny its not in the report.

Lol...you are right there, the T-bird is going up for sale, and maybe the yellow truck too.
Technical, this Bronco didn't have any graphics, or it would have been listed on the report as, "Free Wheeling".
What is interesting, is that there are remnants of blue/light blue tape stripes, and the only one I can find is the 78-79 F150 Explorer XLT graphics, it was never used in the Broncos...or was it! Lol
If I buy the original reproduction of the window sticker, it would list any graphics on the Bronco when it was sold new, where the report I covered here doesn't show those details.

Nice find. How much of it do you think you will be able to bring back to original?

      Thanks Matt. 😊
Most everything is still on the Bronco that it came with, I found a front bench seat from a 78 Bronco. It's the wrong color and fabric...but I found a place that makes a reproduction, using the exact vinyl and fabric...a little pricey, but what isn't these days. 💸💸💸
