Bro please lol did he say thanks to Steven Segal😅😂 did he say thanks to Steven Segal who thought me all the moves I did today LOLOLOL wow. I did not expect that from the PEOPLE’S GOAT.
I hate ibjjf rules. Marcelo won for a sweep. But he pulled guard. And in sweeping landed on top of guard. So why is top of guard point worthy? If it has value, why did Leite not get points when Garcia sat on his ass? The biggest threat of this match was Leite almost securing back control. Points should be awarded for dominant positions only!
Well, professional fighters will adapt their gameplan according to the rules. No sense in complaining about it. Were the rules different, the fight would be different.
I don't follow your logic, Non. Of course sweeps get points. That's the most beautiful part of jiujitsu for me - the reversal of situation. That's why I clicked on the video: to see the sweep master (Leite) against the matador. But now that I type this I appreciate your perspective more. I think it's boring! BUT you've got a point: why give points to anything but (truly) dominant positions (side, back, mount)? 🤔
@@aplus1080 A sweep should get points...if you land in dominant position. Otherwise you just traded places. Why should you get points for getting what your opponent just had and him not? I dont want to punish guard pullers. Its a legit strategy. This is a sport after all. So either top guard is worth a point or two. Or dom position only. Which makes more sense as in sport guard is pretty neutral and both parties can advance to a dom position from there with technical prowess.
@@nonyabizness2550 Because top is a dominant position and bottom is not. If it is a tie including advantages usually the guy on top gets the ref decission because that is the dominant position. Thats why you get 2 points when you sweep (go from bottom to top). If you decide to pull guard by choice you are giving your oponent a slight advantage on the match (supossedly). Thing is nowadays people have improved their guard so much many of them see it as a benefit to start from bottom cuz they know its easier for them to sweep than pass.
Please post more MG matches
Desde que eu era Azul eu fiz meu jogo de meia guarda observando o Lucas Leite. Lutão!!!!
Thats my all time favorite sweep looked so effortless
Gosh this is so impressive by Marcelo. Leite is a great and Marcelo shut off a game that has worked on some other legends.
I love MG but he stalled the rest of the fight after getting that 2 points...
I was watching this to see the battle of marcelo's reverse half vs leites half guard.

It's a great running joke from back then.
Esse Marcelino é fenômeno junto com o Roger e Rafael Mendes
Considering how few people have beaten Marcello, it makes Terer'es wins all the more impressive.
Steven seagal 101

o arbitro ali parece o anderson silva hahahahah
carlho
OSS

@@lesrewk If top is dominant then pulling guard should be point penalized
