Can anyone help please? The lead singer was a black lady with long black hair. She moved around the entire studio during the performance. The keyboard player was related to Lauryn Hill or WyClef Jean I think? (yeh, I'm confused AF).*
Doubt very much this was an improv, more of a showcase, but mad skills nonetheless. Being from UK myself I imagine most of the people watching this show at this time wouldn't have expected this kind of performance nor had a fucking clue what he was doing and likely dismissed it as nonsense which is a real shame.
Personally I just think his style is different. There are many performers within the beatboxing community that would argue there are better beatboxers than Tom Thum. I would put Tom Thum in my random top 10 list though.
