De La and LL, you helped raise me and make me fall in love with hip-hop. Thank y'all. R.I.P. Trugoy.
Shoutout to De La for staying together! So many groups broke up but these guys stayed together!
They're the living definition of Thick and Thin!
Trying people is my favorite song ever
"people are you ready?...."
The children on the hook make me cry everytime I listen to it.....EVERY......TIME!!!!
LL did an incredible job with this interview !! His whole INFLUENCE OF HIP HOP platform is too dope.
Cannot be matched. Great comment.

Seeing a HipHop legend interview other HipHop legends is dope AF, Big ups to LL. Rest in paradise to Dave and long live De La Soul! 🙏🏿💐 🫡
It’s hard to seeing Dave but also great to see these guys get their time in the sun again. LL did a great interview.
Rest in Power Dave.
I've been a De La fan for a long time. I appreciate LL pushing out details that I've never heard. Listen to De La Soul's Albums, mixtapes, EPs, Loosies. There's so much out there. "It's that laughing again...who's there?"
Seeing LL interview other hip hop Legends like de la soul is a treat by itself
No doubt. Great comment.
i agree🎉
I want to see more.
I heard plug tuning and never stop being a De La Soul
I’m happy to see LL back involved in HipHop. Looking forward to his album with Q-Tip!
LL Cool J is actually a very very good interviewer. He asks the right type of engaging questions.
Grew up on De La Soul & LL Cool J's music since I was around 12/13 (thanks to my older brother)
I'm almost 43 now, and it's amazing I'm still able to follow their career.
Much RESPECT

I'm 45. Instantly fell in love with hip hop at age 6 with Run DMC. Being from Atlanta u had to get music from your New York cousins or whatever. Then V103 got The Fresh Party every Friday night from 10 to 12. And Arnell Star had a video show on channel 69 called Planet Rock. I think that was the name. My mom bought me a yellow and red 'My First Sony'. I used my ten bucks I got from my mom to buy three singles with my first purchase being "Why You Buggin" by DMC. Shout to all types of hip hop ever created, from 1970s Mc'ing to Drill today.
I grew up in New York when we were the only city rapping. i remember my cousins used to come up from Virginia and I take them to the park to see the DJ’s cutting and scratching because back then the DJ had to power but now it’s Rapper but I used to take cassettes to those guys in the South so they can here all the rap music they couldn’t get don’t there.
Peace to Z Trip for asking Pos to elaborate on the story behind my favorite De La song, Millie Pulled A Pistol. Dope story behind an epic song
Glad L did this, one of the best De la soul interviews. Looking forward to more interviews.
LL is an incredible interviewer, invested and engaged in the subjects. His technique is like a freestyle, hia questions flow with De La's answers. BTW, love that Post loved comic books too!
Relax In Paradise Trugoy The Dove
DeLaSoul. From the soul. Black Madailion. No Gold. Togetherness
After a lifetime of being a super star MC and actor it's wonderful to see L.L. just be a fan and bug out on some Hip Hop shit. And he has knowledge and love it
Interviews like this is why Rock the Bells is needed and appreciated.
LL and De La Soul... Doesn't get any better than that! 👊🏽💯
I am getting emotional seeing De La Soul and LL, this is living history. Listening to De La Soul in college helped me so much, listening to LL in high school as an awkward high school kid, man I could lose myself in those rhymes and breaks. What an era, peace to Dave Rest in Power !!!
Alot of people love music, but some of us love it ( or are obsessed with it) so much, that we have to either make it as a hobby or in a profession. Or others pursue the history of it, or the journalism of it, or other areas of focus on the art form 🤷♂️
Agreed
I made beats
I can write, and freestyle
But I'm definitely not a artists.
I just love Hip Hop
Even did graffiti back in the day
Unfortunately I was never able to breakdance 😅
A Man called Kodiak WILD Very well put.
Yo, I just listened to Trying People for the time since Dave died. TEARS!!!
Great interview. Long overdue . De La ( true pioneers).
Legends having conversations with a Legend….this was fantastic , Great Art, Great Artists ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Dope interview LL! Much respect @38:52 King. They're still healing and need that space and are probably using all of these interviews to deal with that pain at the same time. This interview was perfection in giving them their flowers.
Man, there is a reason I enjoy De La Soul music and I hope they continue to hold Dave's legacy near and dear...
This was an amazing interview. I learned things about De La Soul that I never knew! #ThankYouDave
