Arguably my favorite group of all time for their history of being so themselves. DeLa never fronted and made REAL music that often went against the grain. However, they were trendsetters and so so dope. Dave is one of the few hip hop celebs I had the pleasure to meet in person. He was so humble and down to earth. God Bless that brother. Maceo’s emotions got me choked up over here too. I’d love to see a Spitkicker Tour again!🖤🎤

I actually managed to get a ticket to the NY state of mind tour, and as amazing as Wu-Tang and Nas have been and will be, it is worth the ticket price alone to be able to be in the same space as these two men and listen to them. It's made my year that I'll get the chance to do that. Roll on next month and thank you Dave 💜

I met Maseo in Atlanta. I was annoyed because when I took a step back in a line and I bumped into someone who I thought was too close in my personal space. I turned around and there he was apologizing with a laugh. I pointed at him, said his name and we took a selfie at his insistence (I normally don't do selfies). A lot of people in that venue didn't know him by face but they could tell he was someone important when they heard his voice (and laughter). I've been a De La Soul fan since college and I miss Dave.
