Good work ! getting that BMW M47 into your Transit !... Wonder if a Mercedes OM642 3.0 v6 turbo diesel engine would have been a more compact fit for your Ford Transit as they fit these engines in Mercedes Sprinter Vans and they are pretty FAST ! Great video man ! - Best of luck with this project 👍👍👍
Took me a couple of WI (Wife Interrupted) hours to get through that mate. Again, your dedication to get us all the detail on the tricky hurdles is really appreciated, and makes for great content. Must be so tempting to bash on and get things done without recording it, so thanks for your effort. Just need to work on an outro to the video. But I really enjoyed that, and looking forward to the next one. This build is shaping up nicely now. 👍
Surely it would be better to keep the drivetrain all inline and then modify the gearstick to get the desired position also If your putting a 2mm plate in to brace the pedalbox i would space the lower out to get that brake reservoir level.
You will see the drive train ends up fully inline in the next video or so,, I do all my thinking out loud when I’m filming and choose not to edit it out because it’s the reality of a build like this,, For the pedal box I did debate what your saying but it would affect the pedal position and there is literally just enough clearance,, I have already manipulated the bulkhead to a better angle to gain the clearance I have,,
It was a consideration but there is no simple way of doing it while retaining strength,, It also doesn’t make any difference to removing the engine and box.. the difficult part is the front subframe
The cabin room ( pedal area) can use a good vacuum clean up! and first off al the body work ( welding) has to be done before you think about putting this engine in ... 🚘💪 it keeps a good Overview with a clean engine bay and the work is much more enjoyable ...yes i am talking with 40 years off experience in the profession ..but for the rest i am enjoying your build dude 🤟
Full interior is now removed and cleaned,, unfortunately I need to have the engine in place to mock up heater box, rad pack intercooler etc and I’m limited on space,, literally have to move it back and forth to work on it
A smiley transit with air con. Brilliant work Nick 👍
Yeah,, problem is getting the air con in is harder than fitting the engine 🤣

I do really need to make a little more effort with intro and outro but never end up doing it properly
Brilliant work mate , loving this build . wonder if a mk7 transit cross member and intercooler would work well ? Quite cheap and loads about
Cheers pal,, loads more to come 👍
Grate content mate tempted to m57 in my discovery 1
Well worth it pal

The transit pinion is offset, the driveline is on the piss from the factory effectively
While doing the front crossmember, would u not make it removable.? It would make taking the engine and box out a lot easier for future maintenance
It was a consideration but there is no simple way of doing it while retaining strength,,

Adjustable steering ?
Great work
Cheers 👍
I did it again 1st comment
Well in mate,, considering I’m so sporadic with my uploads 👍
nice conversion but not so nice work to be honest ! atleast try to keep everything clean that is the first rule with a job like this !!!!!
Could you expand?
