This song gave me the last push to change jobs. I was working for the same company for 8 years and never really felt like I was happy, like I was accomplished or that I'm being compensated properly for my valuable time. I was stuck deep in the comfort zone while I should have been moving mountains. Now I'm at a new job and I love it, it's an all around improvement. This song gave me the last push that I needed to go find a new job and finally quit the old one.

Congrats! This song hit home the first time I heard it. About a year ago I left a job after 12 years to find a way to “move mountains” again. I think I’ve found those mountains, and am so glad I made the change.

This song's chorus is literally describing my life. Faced by a terrible situation, one would be expected to give everything they've got, or "move mountains". But sometimes it takes all your effort to just exist in the first place, like you're "fire in the snow"

That music video is such a good representation of how a lot of people feel right now during this pandemic. It’s a lot of just days passing and you don’t have much to show for it. It’s just a cycle that seems like it’s going to carry on and on forever. I know personally this video really struck home and I think it’s really great that architects was able to capture that in just 4 Mins and 19 seconds.

This song makes alot more sense with the video. The world is literally about to end, but amidst the panic, this guy is just weaving through the crowd trying to get his drugs, completely blind to the apocalypse. One last bad trip and he tosses the drugs which opens up the big portal (his eyes) and makes him realize what's going on. Let me know if you guys saw it the way I did as well.

I looked at it way more biblically. But I can see it the way you saw it also.
He's blind to the apocalypse, but also Architects are not pointing at him making him the villain. Quite the opposite... he is lonely, left behind. He is representing how most people are just barely getting by dealing with their own issues (mental health, the apathy and pointlessness of the modern world, etc.), which makes it almost impossible to be able to deal with the immense responsibility of saving the planet on top of this. Dan has talked about this and that he also counts himself as someone who could do more for the environment but the pressure of just dealing with his own problems is too overwhelming.

@@jakesetnikvox2106 Yeah! And my guess is that the colorful middle section of the video is relating to the "I'm nothing but the surface"-lyric. That there is a deeper substrate beneath the base layer of our existence. I know Dan has said that we're just souls trapped in flesh suits. So maybe that's some sort of consolation in these somewhat apocalyptic times. That realization helps the lead character separate himself from the despair of everything and he can actually face the apocalypse.

еще как вариант, бегство от проблем путем изменения своего сознания и поиска спасения в ком то, либо в препаратах, отрицание реальности и непринятие происходящего, бездействие. Концовка как принятие проблемы, что неизбежное - неизбежно, face your fears как грица. А вообще это очень похоже на внутреннее чувство при глубокой депрессии когда ходишь по кругу в своей голове в поиске ответа и вроде как можешь все, а кажется, что всему миру пиздец и пока голову из жопы не высунешь все будет повторяться и разрушаться

unfortunately there aren't...it's quite polished and the best songs are already released. still a nice one but they are going down the softer train with this album.
This album is gonna slap! I know it’s different that what we are used to hearing but a band that can switch their style and still sound amazing...doesn’t get any better! Long Live Architects!!!

The people/human behind this video deserve an Oscar and the rest of the awards. This is a masterpiece. The lever of creativity and skill behind this video is absolutely mind-blowing. It's unlike anything I have ever seen. I have watched this video multiple times and I keep finding more things that I am amazed with. The song is obviously great as well, like everything that the Architects made before. I LOVE the new album. Thank you boys for sticking around and for bringing so much joy to our miserable lives.
Stylistically it reminds me a lot of Meshuggahs Colossus.
Sadly were stuck with the simple and tasteless music as always where artists create the most generic song with a mediocre beat that never changes and it wins an award

@@sarcasm4371 The song is a call out for humanity to “examine the role we are currently playing in the destruction of the world with barren landscapes, and foreshadowing of extinction” which is one of the main themes of this new record as the band stated it’ll focus on: “…the part we are all playing in the world’s slow destruction, and tackle the biggest questions facing the future of our planet” and if it takes a heavy band like Architects to get the message across, then we should be listening tentatively to what they’ve got to say!

Here’s a take you may not like them but saying they’re objectively worse or not what they were isn’t constructive criticism at all that’s just ur lame lazy opinion that really doesn’t have any true weight to it other then a slight hint of rudeness. For the ever changing world, in the dark days that we live in, an evolution of sound to remove us from the tired claustrophobia of the constant four wall oppression. Music that speaks our truths and doesn't hide behind the lies of other mediums. Painting pictures that we all can draw, and even though they are dark, they are a light to guide us all.

Este álbum es tan personal para mí, 2021 fue un año totalmente desastroso para mi familia y sentí quebrarme por dentro tantas veces, lloré tantas veces, quise "mover montañas, pero fui como fuego en la nieve" y dolió tanto el haber perdido tanta gente, el cargar con tantas cosas en mi corazón y no tener a nadie más... El álbum me acompañó durante todo este tiempo como algún catalizador para el dolor que sentía, empatice tanto con las sensaciones que transmite cada melodía que hoy en día todo está mejor...
