Iraqis are kings of generosity. They're not just this way with you because you're a tourist; generosity is embedded in their culture. If someone compliments a piece of jewlery, a rug, a hat, anything - Iraqis offer it to the admirerer wholeheartedly. I've never seen such beautiful generosity exemplified by people.
If I learned anything from your journey is that people in Iraq are the friendliest and most generous of all the people you met, along with the Pakistanis. On the other hand, Egyptians left a bad representation of their country, a lot of scammers and greedy subjects carless of everything but money.
Mass tourism makes some locals greedy Egypt is a big country with a a large population so if you go to non tourist areas people are welcoming and generous

It’s amazing, I’m without fail they always offer free, and deny payment to the utmost and I just don’t understand that level of kindness. Is it a religious reason or just because they want to be hospitable to guests in their country? I just wonder where the selflessness comes from because it’s extremely admirable.
@@haediralmosawi7151 the world needs more of this type of kindness. Culturally, people in western worlds have much more and cling to it as if someone will take it away if they’re not careful.
