Full Ride from New York to Washington and Richmond VA Aboard Amtrak Silver Meteor 97 6/6/24

- Taken aboard Amfleet II 25099 with ACS-64 #639 leading on the corridor and P40DC #817 and ALC-42 #322 leading south of Washington, DC.
Finally able to film an NEC ride west of New York Penn with a favorable sun angle. Probably the best looking that I've filmed. The delays started not long after we left NY where a switch failure cost us to be 25 minutes late right from the get go. We got even later south of DC thanks to being out of our time slot and needing to wait for a few northbound Amtraks to clear before we could proceed. Ride from Fredericksburg to Richmond is in the dark but I've gotten a lot of requests to do overnight rides so I kept filming. All interlockings, passenger stations, control points, and corresponding mileposts identified.

Wow!! Great video! This was filmed on my Birthday which is June 6. Also! I haven’t been on the Silver Meteor in years! I’ve only been on the Northeast Regional and the Acela!

I’m from Philly 30 St station platforms are so dark , and dingy, It does not match how the inside of the station is
the side windows are tinted
