I'm from Australia, and I took this trip back in 1990, and it was absolutely amazing. The facilities now are more polished than they were then of course, but the experience was something that has stayed with me. Watching the mountains from under the glass top carriages was a fantastic life experience. Thank you for bringing it back ! I love Canada, the people are so warm and friendly, and so much natural beauty and wildlife.
As a child of 10, I was very fortunate enough to have actually taken this trip with my parents. I didn't know it at the time, but it was in the first class cabin. Amazing trip. At 45 years old, I can still remember just about everything.
Me too. I’m 21, and I remember taking the first class cabin when I was around 7 years old, and the third class. Use to travel a lot around Canada with my mom
@@snetriq Very lucky! Such an amazing way to see the country. One thing that has always stood out to me was the dining car. I remember always having the spaghetti. :)

He then rose up from the dead three days later The Ten Commandments are called the moral law, (most of us are lying thieving blasphemous adulterer at heart and deserve hell) you and I broke the law, Jesus paid the fine. That’s what happened on that cross. By believing that Jesus died on the cross and rose up from the dead 3 days later and not just confessing your sin, but also repenting of all sin you have done and putting all your trust in Him in prayer, He will grant you everlasting life as a free Gift
I love the way Will showcases all the tickets, menus and memorabilia onscreen.. It's a nice touch. As always, his videography, his commentary and research is brilliant.
About 5-6 years ago I took the Canadian cross country and it left Toronto in the evening (10:00 PM) and got to Winnipeg during the day for a 4-5 hour stop. The Canadian actually arranged for a 3 hour bus tour of Winnipeg. Too bad they changed their arrival time in Winnipeg. The tour was wonderful and quite unique. The entire 4 day was unforgettable.
The old schedule was fantastic for my area and I used the train lots during univeristy days. The newer schedule was setup to better serve tourists travelling on the train for its departure and arrival times into Toronto and Vancouver. The reasoning is that the train has become a major tourist attraction so they did the schedule to better align with internation flights.
I understand it now arrives after dark with only time tp see the station but not fantastic Forks Market at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine. Too bad. A wasted opportunity.
I've traveled on "The Canadian" 51x since 1964. I'm a "train-a-holic" with over 250,000 km by train since 1955 mostly here in Canada but also in Australia (1987) & UK (1990) when BritRail still existed. Cheers from Vancouver. BTW back in the 1950-70s the trip only took 67 hrs from Toronto-Vancouver as it had priority over freight trains.
I would very much. Like to work on that train.. I don't know what it's called. I've traveled for years.. I'm only 52 years old, and I've traveled around the globe. I would love to be up there. I come from northern Wisconsin. Can you connect with me?
Will, I’m with Millie re: your, ahem, time management. Having watched you for several years, my anxiety rises when I know you’re taking us on a wonderful train journey. As always, I appreciate your always showing us each class and its respective amenities. Canada never fails to show us her incredible beauty.
Dear lord youtube why are you here and not out fixing the fact that countless channels are getting overtaken by hackers and converted into crypto promotion channels trying to scam people😤
Excited to see the Winnipeg-Churchill route! Love watching this channel, it's a huge comfort for my wife n' I! It is like watching the travel channel in it's glory days!
Thank you so much for making and posting this video! I was fortunate enough to travel in the Prestige class in 2017 as part of my honeymoon with my ex-wife. We ended up flying to Yellowknife, then to Whitehorse, then to Vancouver and we boarded the Canadian in Vancouver to return to Toronto. At the time, we were traveling off-season (March) so we paid $3850/person ($7700 total). We also planned it to depart from Vancouver since we paid 12% sales tax instead of 13% that we would have paid if we departed from Ontario. The service, food, amenities, private shower, queen bed and views all made the trip entirely worth it. Shortly after, my ex ended up getting a job working for VIA Rail where she still works to this day. Fun fact that our concierge told us; the Prestige class was the result of a class-action lawsuit against VIA Rail due to accessibility. Their train cars were not to the accessibility standards set out by the federal government and they lost a court case. Making the large-sized Prestige rooms was part of the resulting settlement and one of the rooms is designated as fully wheelchair accessible. VIA Rail (at the time) didn't expect the Prestige class to be as much of a success as it ended up being. This was by far the best time and experience of my life so I'm so happy you two got to experience it. Hopefully more people get the opportunity to experience it too!
Way back in the "dark ages" of 1969, my mother, older brother and sister and I were moving from Timmins in nothern Ontario to Vancouver. I was 11 years old at the time. We were supposed to have gotten 2 staterooms on the train but, due to some mix-up, we only got one. So, there 4 of us in a tiny room with 2 beds for almost 4 days. Those 4 days took an eternity in my young mind.
@@myleshagar9722 - They're as iconic as airstream is to trailers. I just took a trip from Jasper to Vancouver and they are super solid, very well put together. Maybe they could modernize the washrooms, other than that I had no comp[plaints.
Visited Canada in 1981 to attend Canadian Scout Jamboree. Brought back some wonderful memories of Alberta, Canada. Wonderful sites and even more beautiful people.
Oh, this brings back so many memories. I've travelled back and forth across Canada by this train several times and the trip is glorious. But I do remember how for several days after I'd suddenly find myself moving as though I was still on the train even while I was lying in bed, or sitting in a chair, at home, and was actually quite sedentary.
@@janetkizer5956 I envy you your experience; I’d love to do that ride. I’ve gone coast to coast, north to south, on Amtrak, but I wouldn’t call it the optimal luxury train, no matter what size sleeper you have. I did notice the same thing you did: I was a while in getting my land legs back after my trip. I’d definitely do it again, though; the train is a unique travel experience.
i used to own a small sailboat..... after going away on it for a week i would find myself swaying in my bed back at home ^^ thats the same thing... the things we get used to ^^
It’s a shame a trip can’t be begin in Halifax for a sea to sea crossing on one train. Missing Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Quebec, that’s quite a large potion of Canada to miss in my opinion with wonderful scenery.
Just like in the US, you can definitely do a full crossing, but need multiple trains. That just gives you a chance to stop in some cities and spend the night and enjoy!
I’ve done this quite a few times. I loved going through the eerie Northern Manitoba swamp in the dark, early dawn, replete with steam raising from the land and one train personnel told me we went through a certain part of the Rockies at night because it was so terrifying to the passengers during the day. And it was! We were literally snaking the edge of the mountain, the train light casting shadows on the mountain. When I used to go it was Via. First class was a full ‘sleeper’, and it took three nights and four days. Nothing better than being in bed as the scenery goes by. Very cozy.
I also used to take the Coast-light Seattle to Los Angeles a lot. But, I think that service is closed although Amtrak does run that route surely. Thank you for your lovely video.
I'm glad that you enjoyed The Canadian in Prestige class. I'm a locomotive engineer with VIA Rail and am proud to hear you talk so fondly of your experience with our flagship train. If you ever end up doing the Winnipeg to Churchill trip let me know. I live in Winnipeg where the train starts and ends and would be more then happy to give you some ideas places you can explore while in Winnipeg. Keep up the good work!
@@HyundaiAccentFanClub I haven't made the trip to Churchill yet myself. Though I do recommend spending the extra to get into the sleeper classes. It can be a really long trip in Economy. I have heard that the trip is amazing though as my aunt took that trip last year
It’s is a dream of mine to explore more of the train routes, such as The Canadian! And going to Churchill is definitely on my bucket list !! It is just soooooo expensive !! It probably costs a small fortune to do this, especially with 3 teens … I guess one day !!!
I have a family of 5 as well so I know that pain. When you factor in that it is your transportation, hotel, and meals all in one the price makes more sense but by no means is it cheap. Berths on the Canadian, are a much more affordable sleeper class option and is what I usually target when travelling for the balance in price and amenities
In 1963 and 1964 we lived in Churchill and we took the train a couple times to go back to Edmonton to visit family . Still have great memories of our train ride and how so nice was the porter who helped mom with us young ones there was 3 of us. I would love to do a train trip again.
I took the Canadian from Vancouver to Toronto in 2012 and at the conclusion of the trip I told people the best part was a three-way tie between the views, the food, and the incredible staff. Before I left so many people said the prairies would be boring but I thought they were stunningly beautiful. Always love a dirt road that goes straight all the way to the horizon, and how big the sky is.
ok so, via rail does seat sales, and you can get a bunk for a reasonable rate on occasion, i've done the vancouver to edmonton trip a few times for under 800
I love how you add history to each place, its certainly things that I didn't know. Its my 5th video I think. Seen the flying first class, saw the ocean and whale watching, seen trains, I like how dad is included in some journeys, then both mom & dad and now the other half.
I loved the historical commentaries throughout the trip. I drove across Canada about 15 years ago in summer, it was nice but very tiring and somewhat nerve racking on the Trans Canada at night... so afraid of hitting a deer or moose.. abrupt end to a vacation. The train is much more relaxed. Loved this. What a life, taking tours and sharing with others, how blessed you two are.
Being a Canadian from Toronto and having lived in Vancouver this really was amazing and comforting to watch. Appreciate the representation! Thank you Will and Millie :) Trek Trendy >>>>>
Being a Canadian, I realized he was just another typical ignorant American, when he said "The STATE of ONTARIO" at 10:47! Can't even take the time to educate himself about our country!
I don't know if it still does but this train used to start out in Quebec and run all the way to Vancouver. BC. By far the BEST train journey I have ever been on. It made such an impression on me as a 9 year old that I still have fond memories of it 40+ years later.
We took this trip in May 2009. Left Toronto at night with different cabin choices, ours being nearest to your shown First Class configuration. Not a bad meal, great people, beautiful scenery…I’d do it again in a heartbeat! Wonderful video!!
Having only just discovered your channel, I'm delighted to find another Brit producing quality travel content. You sit comfortably alongside the likes Wingin' It, Noel Philips and Emma Cruises, all have your own style and self deprecating British humour. Let's face it, who doesn't liie a bit of luxury, pampertastic travel. Off to watch some more of your videos, William. Thanks for sharing.
Man I love your videos. But especially with me being Canadian, I love this video. I'm 30 now and have always wanted to do this trip to see my country. So thank you for showcasing the experience and now reigniting that passion I had as a kid.
It's bitter sweet watching your vid. Growing up in the 80s, travelling by train(VIA Rail) was a common and affordable way to travel. One of my fondest childhood memories was taking the trip from Thunder Bay(bypassed now) to Winnipeg to visit my grandparents. Unfortunately, many of the regular routes/stations have been phased out. Glad to see it still has a presence to this day.
@@debbielovallo I was 9 at the time so the dome car caught my eye the most lol but definitely heard the the stories of my parents etc. People that haven't experienced it have no idea what they are missing out on.
Seeing this brought back so many memories. I have taken the trip from Toronto to Vancouver and back at least 4 times, and even doing it from the economy seats, it was truly amazing. I never got tired of it, and hope to do it again. Great video as always, and tugged at my heart just a little being from Toronto and seeing all the same spots I've seen in person. Thank you for this.
Fantastic video! As a Canadian, I love seeing that Via is offering a world-class offering at the top end. From what you showed, I would consider it fair value due to the remoteness and distances involved. I hope more luxury travellers take advantage of this service.
Yeah, except when he said "THE STATE OF ONTARIO" at 10:47! That was when I stopped watching it! Typical ignorant American, can't even educate himself about our Country!
The only thing top end I saw was the bed, that leather couch looked really uncomfortable and the sky dome looked very outdated and uncomfortable. Those seats looked like they were from the 60s. I expected more plush seating. The food looked good but the portions looked really small, not much to choose from. I was shocked at the lack of snow and ice removal, apparently people don't sue in Canada for trips and falls because the area isn't cleared properly. There is no excuse for not sweeping the snow off the steps and all that ice at the stop, what's going on? Is that normal? That's crazy they should salt that, it's not even safe to walk on.
As I followed you through your trip, I felt proud as a Canadian to see and hear yours and Millie’s reaction to this extraordinary experience! Canada really is such a wonderful place to travel in! Thanks for your description which as always, gives me another bucket list location and adventure to experience!

Yes! Yes! Please do the Winnipeg train. I love your vids and thank for including the historical vids, info and pics. Also thank you for showing the menus.❣
I just had a dream about 6 months ago, where I was traveling on a a very long train where the entire roof of the train was all glass. The entire train was that way and when it was night, I was laying in a large bed staring up at the stars. The train had so many different themes throughout the train, so you never got bored with one specific style. That was actually one of my favorite dreams this year!.... ❤❤❤
It’s rare to get that feeling of “wow these two were really meant for each other” through RUclips videos but your wife and yourself put off great vibes!
Done Canada there times, first time was the year I left school, and was a school trip, 1976 Montreal Olympic games. We have family in Ontario, and have been there twice. Also, done the falls when in USA, either side of the border. Have to say, just love the Canadians, they're just so natural people.
Thanks to the RUclips algorithm, otherwise I probably would never have seen this video. Thanks very much. I will definitely take this trip. I live in Germany, but that's the ultimate holiday for me, I've always wanted to go to Canada and then take a train across the whole country, no, take a train across a whole continent. Craziness. I can't believe I'm speechless. Thank you for this beautiful video. ❤👍
I love Canada it’s so nice and peaceful. I especially love Ontario and Quebec. Toronto is really cool reminds me of my hometown Chicago, nexto to a lake, hot in the summer and freezing in the winter, and the hustle and bustle of a metropolis
You haven't seen Alberta and British Columbia yet. I have travelled in Quebec. I have lived in Ontario. But NOTHING is like the Canadian Rockies in Alberta and British Columbia has a vast landscape from semi-desert to coastal to rainforest. I have also lived in Alberta and BC. I am biased. I will admit. :)
Loved this. I am Canadian in Nova Scotia. Lived in Toronto for a few years. It was great seeing my country and love that you provide the history. Great job and hope you and Millie enjoyed it!
My family took this trip in 1958, from Montreal to Vancouver, when I was about 12. I remember that our scheduled arrival was 12 noon, and we actually arrived about four in the late afternoon--and everyone thought we'd made pretty good time.
This is on my bucket list though I would rather take this trip in the summer. Thank you for giving us such a full experience of VIA One. Loved this video. 🎉❤
As a Saskatchewanian who constantly hears their province being mispronounced, thank you SO MUCH for getting it right. Also, as a Saskatonian - you didn't miss much. For a city that lives in winter 6 months of the year, we're not exactly a "winter city". Saskatchewan is a "fly-over" province for a reason. Fun fact - the old station downtown is now our main shopping mall, and was redesigned in the 1990's to look like the old CN station.
Too true. I grew up in South central Saskatchewan, then went to university and worked in Saskatoon for a few years before fleeing to B.C., Can't say I regret leaving.
Why all this Saskatoon hate?? I've had the good fortune to visit Saskatoon many times over the years for weeks at a time. There is plenty to keep you amused if you know where to look; that is places to eat and drink at night, places to visit in the day. I always found the people as friendly and fun loving as anywhere in Canada. The best luxury hotel is "The James", well worth staying. I enjoy chatting to the vendors in the farmers' market. Broadway is good area to investigate.
I can't stop laughing at your pronunciation of Ontario, I love it!! 😂 As a Canadian who lives in the province (not state!) of "Ontaaariooo" I thank you for showcasing our country in such a positive manner. I've taken the VIA sleeper many times and it is indeed a fantastic experience. I only wish you and the Mrs. had taken the cross country trip in the summer or fall when the scenery is out of this world spectacular.
I have lived in Australia since 1979 (After 9 years US Army), and worked here as a teacher and artist, but grew up in Michigan. On one trip with a big group of Australian Vietnam Veterans in the 80's to attend the Chicago Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Parade... From there I took them in three rental cars to my Dad's home (164 Acres of woods and a great cabin). Hearing those Australians trying pronounce French spelling of Indian names so funny... then we wen't through the Detroit tunnel to Canada as i promised i'd take them to see Niagara Falls ... I used to travel back and forth in the 60's and 70's with no issues... but 7 Australians created such crap problems with customs??? We graved the "Queens Way" to the falls ... then had to drive back to Michigan to drop off the rentals. Then flew back to Australia... I found it funny as Canadians would constantly ask the Aussies; "What did you say" ... I guess as a teacher I'm used to the different accents... I'm guessing both sides were just messing with each other... Love this trip. I'm thinking my Australian wife and I would like to try it going back east??? It looked great... Nice post mate.
@shaikh6231 are you asking.... the British empire controlled many counties and all those countries use different terms for their territorial names.... What's the difference between a lorry (British) and a delivery truck (Australia)? Both are vehicles used for transporting goods
The greatest train journey on earth, covered by the greatest travel vlogger. Thanks for allowing me to supply you with a few clips brother! What a video!
Definitely want to see the trip showcasing the Northern Lights and the polar bears. Thoughally enjoyed watching you and Millie enjoying the trip, especially the food, which looked fantastic! Love the channel and look forward to seeing more stunning scenery or first class travel experiences in the next video! From country NSW Australia.

I have 35+ years of world travel under my belt. I’ve always said I’ll do Canada when I’m old and here I am 67. I guest it’s time to explore my own country. I would certainly like to do the train from Toronto to my home in Vancouver. Thank you for your video.
Would love to hear about it if you make this trip. I grew up in Ontario and moved to Calgary. So I am very familiar with Banff. I’ve moved to Texas, but I want my wife and I to take that special train from Banff to Vancouver and back again to Banff. It would be very expensive. When I see this I miss my home in Canada. We are 64 each and have travelled much, but never this train trip.
I discovered south east asia back in 2015... I'm now in my late 40s. It's a paradise, and most western people discover it at your age. Reason I didn't go earlier was the western media portraying SEA like criminals, hookers and drugs. No truth in that racist remarks made by the BBC,CNN, and many other bigs media corps.
I last went to Canada in 1976 & went right across Canada from Toronto to Vancouver. By road from Calgary to Banf Springs then by rail to Vancouver, it's a amazing country.
Born and raised here in Beautiful British Columbia. I didn't even know about this train, but it is definitely on my bucket list now to go from coast to coast. How I long to see the eastern part of this great country as I've never been further east than Alberta. Thanks for this great video.
Had the pleasure of doing this trip some years back (the other way). They feed and take care of you so well, the atmosphere with other passengers was really good....the scenery in parts was phenomenal..... everything was just super memorable and great! Glad you had a great time on it @trek trendy + millie!
I was hoping for some interaction but not even with a steward. It gave me the feeling these people are very snobbish and don't want to associate with the common folk.
It's our darling couple, Will and Millie!! It feels like it's been too long since we last saw you guys. This was a lovely train adventure, especially the food lol, but it was nice to see the small towns. I love small towns. For almost 5k this was a vacation in and of itself. But I seriously would've needed my own private toilet. I'm like Millie, I too do not like to venture too far from my ride. BTW Millie, you look fab in your glasses.
Really enjoyed this well-made video Will. Brought back happy memories of our 2015 trip to Canada. Have sent link to Canadian friends who were born in Toronto but now live on Vancouver Island.
Did the same trip just the other way in 2016, from Vancouver. Albeit less luxurious in a sleeper cabin for one. But waking up to the part through the Rockies was pretty spectacular. Another fun fact about Toronto Union Station: It played a part in the Gene Wilder movie Silver Streak, with the train crashing through the station at the end. A movie any train lover should watch.
What a lovely relaxed presentation manor you both have. I rarely watch these sorts of videos to the end but watched every second of this. Excellent work both of you.
The scenery was truly breathtaking!! The food looked fantastic and then some. I'm seriously considering this trip. Thank you. You both looked very, very happy.
The food did look good, what there was of it. The portions seemed really small. It looked like they served the food on salad plates like that's going to deceive you into thinking you're getting more.
Can confirm. Overnight on a train is super cool. Granted, it was in the 80s when I did it, and I was 12, and the customer service on VIA has dropped significantly since then, but private room with a door, bathroom, bed, window, on a moving train?!? A really great experience.
I was shocked that one of the rooms had a toilet in it and no door. What the heck? You could be sitting on the can right in the open and anyone could walk right in on you? I can't imagine.
Great video... I took coach across Canada back in my college years, in summer of 2001. I went both ways and had a family reunion in BC. Great trip to take... The units that pulled the train was not the P42dc, but it was the f40ph-2d rebuilt back in 2009ish.
So glad to see you back in Canada and hope Millie had an enjoyable first time. I see your slip with Ontario as a "state" has been mentioned so I will just leave it, can you tell we are touchy ;-) Looks like such a wonderful trip and as a Canadian I hope to do both the Rocky Mountaineer and this one some time in my future. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Welcome to Canada. You mentioned at 0:39 that you would be traveling over entire continent. We have 5 provinces and 1 1/2 time zone east of us, Toronto is quite inland. Next time you could take VIA rail from Halifax to Toronto, that is only 30 hours.
@Karl with a K Yeah no shit this is also called "a train" and no shit it takes 6 hours Japan is tiny, Canada is the second Largest country in the world by landmass
@Karl with a K "VIA rail" is a brand name. Just for the reference, YYZ-YVR is 4h 15 min by plane, YHZ-YYZ is 2h 30 min and you would be traversing 5 time zones.

Will, I love your videos. My wife and I thoroughly enjoy seeing the world through your videos. As always, it's great to see Millie! Yes, we would love to see a video on the Churchill. One of our dreams is to see the Northern lights! Cheers from Boston, Ma! ❤
When I read your comment about dreaming of seeing the northern lights I just want to say: Come visit us in Jokkmokk, Sweden, north of the arctic circle. We have northern light all through out the fall and winter period. This year the first one actually appeared already around Sept 25. It goes on all the way into March. I often see it when I take a walk in the evening by our little lake. The best chance of northern light is at Abisko, 4 hours north of us. They even have the Aurora Sky Station on top of the mountain Nuolja / Njullá. They offer evening-night excursions when you take the chair lift to the top, dressed in warm winter gear, and spend a couple hours at the top, hoping to see aurora borealis (northern light) and you eat dinner before taking the lift back down again, some time around midnight. I have worked as a mountain guide in the mountains west of Jokkmokk and have seen some great northern lights there as well as in Abisko whenever I go. But I also often see it just outside of my home in Jokkmokk, where I moved some 14 years ago from Stockholm. So @jackrey2652 I hope you come visit us in Swedish Lapland and enjoy norhtern lights (or midnight sun) in the future. I would love to welcome you in our neck of the woods! And by the way - you can travel by night train, just like Will does. There is a nice, comfortable (however not luxurious) first class car as well as second class, economy and coach, from Stockholm all the way north. If you want to hear about how the northern lights can change lives, here is a video about Chad from New Orleans and how he ended up living in Abisko because of the northern lights (and perhaps also due to the love of his life being Swedish...?!) And if you do come, stop by and have a cup of tea or coffe in my kitchen! I would love that... www.swedishlapland.com/stories/abisko-worlds-best-place-for-northern-lights/ Thanks Will, for letting me go on all these amazing train trips, many of who I dream of catching myself. It is a pleasure to come along for the ride! Since I broke my neck and injured my lower back in a tornado in the mountains many years ago, I can't hike or ski as before and also not travel as extensively. Therefore I truly enjoy coming along on your trips. I am sure I am not the only one in this siutation, who enjoy something we can't really do or at least not as easily any longer, but now you give us a way of enjoying these trips from our living room.
I remember doing the Canadian twice once in the summer and once in the Winter on those old timings where you left Toronto in the late evening.
@@marshabailey772 If #1 is on time it arrives into Winnipeg around 1930hrs. #2 arrives a little later around 2100hrs
Just asking, in what way was the Winnipeg tour "quite unique"?
I've traveled on "The Canadian" 51x since 1964. I'm a "train-a-holic" with over 250,000 km by train since 1955 mostly here in Canada but also in Australia (1987) & UK (1990) when BritRail still existed. Cheers from Vancouver. BTW back in the 1950-70s the trip only took 67 hrs from Toronto-Vancouver as it had priority over freight trains.

Why ex..that's a short marriage, sorry
Canada thanks you for visiting us again. One of the nicest things about that train trip is that gets better each day when heading west.
The 1950s tin can train is an overpriced embarrassment.

@@SaintVodou Exactly. At least I wasn't moving up and down as well. It's still a bit weird to find yourself rattlkng along out of nowhere. 😉
@@janetkizer5956 I envy you your experience; I’d love to do that ride. I’ve gone coast to coast, north to south, on Amtrak, but I wouldn’t call it the optimal luxury train, no matter what size sleeper you have. I rode this train 3 weeks ago in a sleeper plus cabin. It will not disappoint! One of the best experience in my life!
How affordable is it to do?
Did they get the inter net sorted? There was none during our journeys before The Blip.
Do you return to Toronto via Train? I know it takes four days from Toronto to Vancouver so going back is another 3/4 days?
@@richieclaw Actually, I can't remember now - 25 to 30 years ago, but Via's website will say.

I also live in Winnipeg and have been looking to do the Churchill trip for awhile, any recommendations?

I've driven across Canada about 10 times and I have to say I *love* the prairies and find that part of the country very beautiful.

I loved the historical commentaries throughout the trip.
This trip has been my dream for as long as i can remember. So jealous!!

Waiting, waiting, waiting...
But it was Damm worth the wait🔥🔥🔥🔥
Faxxxx💀💀💀
as someone who lives in Toronto im happy to finally see Toronto in one of your videos!!
That is exactly what I want for our 20th wedding anniversary ❤
Wonderful trip! Thanks so very much for sharing the experience!❤
Great to see such good comprehensive coverage of the prestige class! The locomotives in use are 2 EMD F40PH-2D units.
Canada is such a beautiful country. I hope to visit one day.
Great video... I took coach across Canada back in my college years, in summer of 2001. I went both ways and had a family reunion in BC. Great trip to take... The units that pulled the train was not the P42dc, but it was the f40ph-2d rebuilt back in 2009ish.
So much food and drinks consumed! There is no way I could eat such quantities without feeling bloated and unwell. Scenery was mind blowing.
except he blow thru Alberta
So glad to see you back in Canada and hope Millie had an enjoyable first time. I see your slip with Ontario as a "state" has been mentioned so I will just leave it, can you tell we are touchy ;-) Looks like such a wonderful trip and as a Canadian I hope to do both the Rocky Mountaineer and this one some time in my future. Thank you so much for sharing with us.
Thank you. I was going to mention that referral to Ontario as a “state”. 😂
@Karl with a K so funny. By PLANE at 900km/h, it would take 7 hours to get from Vancouver to Halifax!
@Karl with a K "VIA rail" is a brand name.
Just for the reference, YYZ-YVR is 4h 15 min by plane, YHZ-YYZ is 2h 30 min and you would be traversing 5 time zones.
Some comments are really unnecessary and irrelevant. Semantics!! You know what I’m referring to. Bloody hell some people are just picky, annoying and rude. Love your work on the videos and keep it up.
What an adventure! I've done a cross-Canada trip in a car before, now crossing fingers I get to repeat it but on a train! Great video, thank you for sharing! 😍👍
I would love that... www.swedishlapland.com/stories/abisko-worlds-best-place-for-northern-lights/
Thanks Will, for letting me go on all these amazing train trips, many of who I dream of catching myself. Thanks to technology.... Rather amazing!
Fantastic work mate, well done!!!
I know people think you that you've got the best job in the World but they don't know or understand how hard it is to do what you do.......
10:43 State of Ontario??? Come on Trek Trendy!! You can do better than that hahaha
