Rob, your videos were literally life changing to me. To the person with bipolar, this is a great source of help. But I think you help those who have a loved one with bipolar tremendously as well. I consider the day I found your content the pivotal point of starting to understand this condition and it is key. The person with bipolar needs an advocate and support- and the person in that relationship needs a guide to help them navigate the journey. What a tremendous service you and the team provide. This channel is giving me so much hope and helping my family immensely. We lost my brother last year to substance abuse, and I was just diagnosed this month with bipolar I. He never believed his diagnosis and just kept self medicating and getting himself into immense amounts of trouble. I was never allowed to have problems because his were so intense. My parents could “only handle one kid with a problem, so just stop it!” Was all I ever got. Even now, my dad just won’t accept it and thinks I’m making it up for “attention” or to “get out of working.” I’ve had a successful business for 15 years up until I just couldn’t take the pressure anymore and had a breakdown. Lost everything. I’m lucky to be alive, and thankful I now have an amazing psychiatrist who listened to me enough to work through my denial about this condition. I’ve had dozens of psychiatrists and therapists who just didn’t bother to try to treat anything, because, “you’re so successful! You’re probably just dealing with some depression because of xyz.” Very few people have ever known how bad it would get sometimes. And I’ve blamed myself my whole life for ruining so many things. I’m so grateful I found your channel. ❤
Thank you, dear, for sharing this so personal story of yours. My heart goes out to you... My own daughter is ill and an exceptionally complex & difficult case. Toward me she's in total denial & keeps me at a distance, far away from herself. I have no difficulty to believe what you write. Also what you write about therapists & psychologists & psychiatrists who just do not care enough to really wanna get to the bottom of things. I'm glad you now seem to have found a competent plus caring psychiatrist. I can only encourage you to "Keep up the good work!" And yes, I also fully agree that this channel & Rob himself are a blessing to this world and are probably touching innumerable lives in a helpful & supportive way. It certainly has helped me BETTER understand my daughter, although I'm "not allowed" to help her personally. I just sent another one of Rob's videos to her husband, asking him to gently convince her to watch it and hoping that Rob's video might speak to her. Many blessings to YOU and never despair: Despite your struggles, on the INSIDE you are a magnificent diamond, untouched & unaffected by any disease, be it mental or physical! Greetings from Brussels. *M*

Everything you were saying is so encouraging and I know I shouldn’t say I’m proud of you, but I am so proud of you. I wish I could do what you were doing. Technically, I’ve been diagnosed with a lot of things and my doctor doesn’t think I have bipolar so it’s confusing. I just don’t really even know what I have, but I hopeto get together someday you know I’m really stuck

Although I tend to say that I have bipolar, I feel like I am bipolar, and that's what I'd like to say, to be honest, but I don't. The distinction is subtle and yet strong. However, the "have" part also leads to confusion too. I've been told to not have it then as if it was a choice. That's why people accept it better if you say you are bipolar. Are we people pleasing even in our moments of identification or introduction?🤔
Warrior here,,, no medication, just white knuckle threw life and break down lies and unjust... Is it wrong if someone does wrong to me??? Stupid society pets bad things happen around them

This is not a slam on what you said. I prefer to say I deal with bipolar on a daily basis. I have a son on the autism spectrum and I prefer to say he deals with autism on a daily basis. I have never been so mindful in my life since my husband passed and I have had to learn better how to live peacefully with my son. Thank you for all your videos and the effort to go on with them, I really admire you, I'm a really lucky guy since I don't have a bipolar disorder however my former girlfriend has this and I have a brief perspective of how hard it is. I wish everyone who has this disorder, love and the best of life, each day is a battle for you and I hope everyone always finds a way to be strong. Miss you MFC
Just found your channel and it is really helpfull for understanding this Illness better. It is also helpfull to educate Family and Friends further since they normally only know me and my bipolar.
I'm so glad you found the channel useful! It's important to spread awareness and understanding about mental health, especially with loved ones. Thank you for sharing!

Hey, I totally get where you're coming from! Life can be a mess sometimes, but hang in there! Just take it one step at a time, and don’t hesitate to reach out on Patreon if you need to chat!

Love your channel. Thanks for doing what you do. You've helped me so much.
I'm going to continue saying that I am Bipolar. It is an identity to me. I find it empowering to own it in that way. To each their own.
Thank you for sharing your perspective! It’s inspiring to see people embrace their identities so confidently.

Hi I use the word disorder after the word bipolar so... I have not I am works for moi
@@sendbeesasmr3075 i feel the same. I was like this since my early childhood.
Warrior here,,, no medication, just white knuckle threw life and break down lies and unjust... Is it wrong if someone does wrong to me??? Stupid society pets bad things happen around them
Thanks for the vid Rob, ive just been diagnosed as having bipolar after being on a rocket ship for the last 25 years or so... Hopefully i can use your videos to follow your journey and gain this valuable insight! Thank you ✌️✌️

Polar warriors name are good at not giving away our power by saying bipolar 💪🛡️
This is not a slam on what you said. I prefer to say I deal with bipolar on a daily basis. I have a son on the autism spectrum and I prefer to say he deals with autism on a daily basis. I have never been so mindful in my life since my husband passed and I have had to learn better how to live peacefully with my son. Stress can really do a number on what we deal with daily no matter what our diagnosis is.
I really appreciate your openness in sharing your journey. It takes a lot of courage to navigate these challenges, and your perspective is valuable to many.
