Tour from Space: Inside the SpaceX Crew Dragon Spacecraft on Its Way to the Space Station

- In this video, NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley take viewers on a tour of the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft that will take them on a 19-hour-journey to their new home in orbit.
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Crew Dragon spacecraft successfully launched from Kennedy Space Center’s historic Launch Pad 39A at 3:22 p.m. EDT on May 30 with the astronauts aboard for a mission to the orbiting laboratory. Crew Dragon will perform a series of phasing maneuvers to gradually approach and autonomously dock with the International Space Station on Sunday, May 31, at approximately 10:29 a.m. EDT.

Remember when touch screen on a space ship was science fiction star trek tech
_2001, A Space Oddesy_ shows tablets. They used projectors to make them look real for the movie.
And I love it. I am sure they have some manual control as an backup.
He was making me nervous with his fingers gliding near the control buttons on the bottom - ooops - that was the mission abort button....!
We did it boys
And yet everyone still prefers a proper keyboard and mouse. Touch screen has its place but in no way is it the future.
I love how dads still do dad things in Space, like point a camera at a reflective window thinking we can see through it 😂
If they manually focused it so that it wasn't focused on the reflection, then we would have been able to.
😂😂😂😂 so spot on!
Ofc he wouldnt like to focus in the studio settings
@Mr Anderson are you slow? You could have watched the whole thing in person smh

@M 40 Would it not be even more ironic if they had to look all over the capsule for a cordless microphone, all in zero gravity?
@M 40 well i don't think they really cared. probably just most convenient at the time.
@M 40 Cables are a lot more reliable than radio, and don't require batteries or charge point.
Cost per kilo to the ISS on a falcon 9 is $2700
Cable is probably around 100g, so $270 for a guaranteed connection must have been deemed acceptable.

As a guy who normally sees capsules from movies full of wires and messy over the zero gravity, dragon is not anything like that. Now that's clean design!

Anyone else get a little teary eyed at launch?
This is literally the coolest thing ever maybe... BUT I’M SOO STOKED!!
I was legit nervous.
I did, laughing at it because I can't believe people still buy this bull. There are no rockets going to outer space, they launch them over the ocean so they can dunk the rocket in the water and no one sees it come back down. You ever see a rocket? It goes up and makes a parable because it's coming back down to the ground, not going with the curve of the Earth. NASA lies man. There is no outer space.
Yep. I couldn’t help it. Senior in high school when Challenger went down. I couldn’t help but reminisce and feel proud of our country...

That is SpaceX's design philosophy. Boeing has an old school look to their version which is a very nice contrast from the "old" boeing and the "new" SpaceX
Starting to look like the future
Thats SpaceX and Elon .. Look at his cybertruck reveal .. He made it like that because he wanted it to be different and unique. Even with spaceX, elon's design philosophy (where nasa's philosophy might be pure function over aesthetics) is both function and aesthetic. He doesn't compromise on comfort and style but instead makes sure that his creations have the best and the most safe functions whilst also keeping style.
it sucks, compared to the real Endeavour internal space, that was the real space age lol
