(1) Some of the first Christians, the most ancient, were Egyptian. (2) This is a part of human civilisation, this belongs to us all. It's not about one's religion today. So, your comment is weird.
My grandmother started me on the path to rejecting Christianity, when she bought me a Read-Along record and storybook about Heracles and the Hydra. It sparked an interest in Greek mythology and other mythology, and I saw similarities between those stories and the stories in the Bibles. My grandmother was also a minister. 😂
@The Gray Ghost Nope. Wrong. The story of brothers fighting each other is Universal. Romulus and Rhemus, Yemo and Manu, Osiris and Set, etc. Also the events in Genesis came before Egypt was even a nation.
It's.....complicated. Ra was indeed ruler of the Earth in a mythical Golden Age before that of the Pharaohs. He wasn't a Pharaoh because unlike Pharaohs,he was a full-on,bona-fide god. And the biggest one,I might add. He's essentially the actual source of all Pharaohs in myth and their authority, as they clqim descent from him through the Four Sons of Horus( Heru),who in turn was the son of Osiris( Wesir),who in turn was Ra's dear little great-grandson who was chosen by him to rule Egypt ( Kemet). And that's that. Pharaohs ruled because despite being so low on the divine xhain, they were the closest thing to gods on earth. Ra and Wesir WERE that in myth. And they set a high standard.
Așa că am rămas doar eu Seth sa vă bat bine de tot că cred ca mai am de scris niste recenzi o sa mai trag un ochi prin lume sa vad ce mai este bine înțeles cu avionul meu de vânătoare :)
Ahem... The green skinned visage of Wesir was used as a metaphor for his role as god of fertility, representing greenery and vegetation, as he was associated after death with the fertile Earth, his body damaged and killed to allow growth and life.
Because he wasn't. It's a symbol of fertility. Sometimes, they painted him solid black for the same reason. One for vegetation, the other for black, fertile soil.
@Sheikah Maker North Africa isn't black, stop appropriating its civilizations and it figures like Hannibal, Cleopatra, Tarek ben Ziad... it is pathetic.
