    Sad case of events around this Hero. A true patriot that cared for his fellow man, comrade and family man. The book and movie are close portrayals of what a veteran goes through to serve his country.When deployed, we form a bond for each other a desire to keep each other safe and a drive to want to go back until the job is done. We get torn between family, friends and the since of caring. We think we we must keep going at all cost.

    He gave Switzerland as a model example of gun laws. He said something like "everyone is required to go through two years in the military and then you take your rifle and get out. Everyone is armed so it's a safer place to live".
    It is actually very sad what happened to Chris Kyle. A fellow soldier who had also "gotten out" decided to kill both Kyle and another friend at a shooting range. He was dead within three weeks of this interview. A wife and two children left behind.
    Nobody is trying to "take your guns away". I am so sick of hearing that. Increased background checks on gun owners is a good thing. Also, the "founding fathers" did not have anything remotely close to what we have today (unlike he said in this video). Everyone wants to uphold the constitution like it's the single most important document ever created. Really? Is there anything else from that era that we still use and abide by down to every letter? No. Absolutely not. People cherry pick the constitution when it's convenient for them to sound patriotic. It's bullshit. They could care less about everything our founding fathers stood for. You can see that with everyone's opinion on immigration reform. Suddenly you are not so "Red White & Blue Freedom For The World" when there is a Mexican taking your order.
    This all coming from someone from the most rural red-state area of Tennessee you can find.

    • @BradleyTn20
      @BradleyTn20 10 лет назад +1

      Which facts have I cherry picked? I didn't list many "facts". I stated opinions. I haven't listed any facts at all in fact. Everything I said was either a quote from this video or an opinion.

      @bennields1528 9 лет назад +9

      Actually, there are many people who want to disarm us, Dianne Fienstein said in an ABC interview that if she had gotten enough support she would establish an outright ban and confiscation

    • @BradleyTn20
      @BradleyTn20 9 лет назад +2

      That is not fair. Everyone looks retarded when compared with the vague sarcasm of RUclips comment scholars. This is all you usually get though from people on the other side of this topic. I never hear any real reasoning for defending their views... just calling names.
      Frankly, this entire gun debate is so fucking old and worn out. The only argument gun people have is "The Constitution" and "Protect my family".
      Anyone sincerely worried about protecting their family should welcome ANYTHING that makes it harder for certain people to get their hands on a gun. Furthermore, you don't need high capacity magazines to protect your family. An intruder coming through the window to rob and rape you is not coming with machine guns. It seems like every other mass shooting is carried out by some crazy person who shouldn't have had the "right" to go in and buy a gun. I understand that criminals will find a way regardless but WHY WHY WHY would you not at least want to make it harder for them to do so? Look at Virginia Tech. That guy bought those guns legally even though he had already come to the attention of authorities as having mental problems and stalking multiple people. Yet, the gun store had no way of knowing.
      I just don't understand how any sane person can watch the news and see the horrible things that happen with guns and not feel like things should be different. I wish there was a way to ensure that ALL the bad shit that happens would ONLY happen to the pro-gun nuts. Then they could bury their kids while wondering "Wow. This didn't have to happen". An increase in gun control would only make someone have to jump through some more hoops and fill out more paperwork to get a gun. A legal gun owner would still be able to get a gun. They may have to reload more though with smaller magazines. Why is this bad thing? Really?
      I suppose that's fine though. They can watch their "Constitutional Rights" grow up instead of their kids. I wish I could understand why this isn't an obvious problem to everyone.

    • @AmazingMojo2567
      @AmazingMojo2567 9 лет назад +5

      Bradley Smith there is no reasoning with the liberal mind set... its quite sad really. If you want to take my guns away i dare you. You wont make it past my front door.

    • @BradleyTn20
      @BradleyTn20 9 лет назад +4

      You basically just proved my point... again. No reasons. The NRA mindset is what is sad. The fact that you can watch the Sandy Hooks and Virginia Tech's happen time and time again and still not budge one bit.
      Nobody wants your fucking guns. We just want to make it harder for certain people to get them. By the way... if I did want your guns you would have just as much chance to keep me out of your house with a shotgun as you would with the arsenal you are trying so hard to protect.
      I lost my sister and a childhood friend at Virginia Tech. Oh well. You talked down to me and threatened me with the most irrelevant statement possible. You have your gun and your enormous cock though. You win.
      Just nevermind.

    Im a woman, and although killing 160 people dosent sound something I would do anytime, I really do respect this Guy.. He was a real American who cared and valued his country. If I was a Man I probably would have gone to war and killed the enemy too... This shows how noble and courageous he was. If you saw September 11 and how terrible that was, you would also go to war and kill Iraqis' too... People are very misinformed. They only get fed what they hear or read, but actually go out there and see for your very own eyes the act of evil... The Syrian war is a great testament to that, and just how faith and religion is driving people to commit crime and bloody wars that have gone for years....

      ***** Yep, but the last country that tried to rule the United States on our territory was the English. One of the first things they did was to implement gun bans. That is why we will never give up our firearms. And if your stupid country had not given into giving up your guns, you could have fought that oppressive regime that killed you like bugs. That is why the United States had to come over there a bail your stupid asses out of the fire. And you learned nothing, you still ban firearms.

    • @chickm14
      @chickm14 9 лет назад

      Do you really think that chemical weapons would be used at every place there is a firearm? In times of war, armies, no matter how small, manage to acquire WMDs, in one form or another. You can't see the forest for the trees. You are such a small minded person, that can only see negatives. Go play with your blocks on the interstate.

    He's right about Switzerland, but gun ownership isn't the only reason their crime rate is low. Their education system is also much better than the US. Succesful, educated people aren't out robbing or committing violent crimes.

    • @larrywilliams7993
      @larrywilliams7993 5 лет назад

      brandon Education doesn't do jack shit! The fear of a Police Officers authority and his M&P Smith and Wesson cause a healthy fear to come over those that respect authority others die because they are to stupid to respect authority and think the can defy it without consequence, big mistake. The brightest and the best from Harvard and Yale may have an education but they have no "street smarts" to keep from getting their ass shot of like at Bengazi the Station Chief recited that line about the brightest and best from the Ivory Towers of Yale and Harvard (13 hours)BUT It was the two ex-seal GRS contractors Tyrone Woods and Sean Dougherty, Jack Silvia, Kris Tanto Pranto and two DELTA operatives that saved 26 CIA and others, not by a manual learning, but good old experience and common sense by real warriors who knew how to war by their training and experience. They are the real heroes and probably have no letters by names or degrees.

    • @jb34ch1
      @jb34ch1 2 года назад

      @@larrywilliams7993 CK's street smarts didn't seem to help him. Maybe he wasn't one of the "real warriors" you're describing. Besides, the argument was about how education is related to crime, which is a verifiable correlation. Your comment only expresses your opinion and is purely based on your emotions.

    • @joecsmithjr
      @joecsmithjr 9 лет назад +8

      Thats what we do. We fault so others like you could have your freedom to pursue your course of events 9like speaking out against what he was trained to do, stay at home and not serve). He took no joy in killing. His Joy was protecting those he was ordered to be in and over watch role and decide the right thing to do. You cannot get that from a liberal arts education. God, Country and mission are ingrained from parents, home, church, sunday school and a professional military training. All of these instill values that we want to keep sharing even after our tours are completed.. The man that shot Kyle was still wounded from the war (PTSD). Kyle was helping to rescue a fellow brother from war. No one had his back like Kyle did for others.

    I only SEEM the type to disagree, cause clearly we're in agreement and I'm also glad that you've finally admitted what i was saying all along. YOU CHOSE TO FIGHT IN A WAR YOU DIDN'T AGREE WITH! Though i'm not sure why you bring up rights, but then again we could go further to talk about those killed and the rights they lost. So there you have it, you're to blame for your own actions not the orders you were given nor the percieved duty you've placed upon yourself. Responsibility, what a concept.

    This is the second Chris Kyle video I've seen you on. You're entitled to your opinion, but If you don't like him so much, why are you on these videos? Whether or not you agree with what he did, he fought for his country very selflessly, helped veterans as much as he could, and was a husband and father. The least you can do is stop saying hateful things about him. Be thankful that he was risking his life so you don't have to.

    Heartbroken this morning. Seemed like a bad dream last night to hear that this hero has been murdered
    He loved this country so much! We still need him but I guess the Lord said his work here is done. Get his book and help support his family

    Chris was a patriot and always will be dead or alive and I respect that. He didn't deserve to die he was just trying to help out a fellow veteran.

    Oh, I've missed this. I dropped off RUclips a while back because I got a little discouraged. There were so many of you out there and you were all so dense that I felt like I couldn't make a difference. No matter what facts, numbers or history I presented, you'd be there to twist it up and ignore any inconvenient parts to make your lies into "truth". But I'm back now and I realize that me just being here to challenge your programming is a public service. Don't have kids, though. I'm getting old.
