@@eggarini1907 Don't know how long it took for mark, but personally when I went into hospital I was 47kg at 173 cm tall. I'm a type 1 diabetic and have been for over 30 years. I find your videos very helpful. I'm currently trying to put on more muscle and eat more to gain healthy weight. I've constantly struggle with keeping the weight on once I gain it. Recently over the last couple of months I've lost 14 lb and I'm trying to put it back on. A1C and sugar levels are in control. Do you have any suggestions that would help me maintain my weight and my energy levels. I'm an insulin pump but really tired of the back and forth. With my weight going up and down.
I been type 1 for 5 years and I'm 20 recently started again lifting and idk man I somehow get gains faster then my buddy's. I'm guessing it's genetics I'm Hispanic and all my cousins are ripped
I'm type 1 too on lantus and humalog and I feel the same way. I used to be amateur bodybuilder in the past and did steroids several times. I feel that when I do workout now that I use insulin to live, I grow fast just like when I did roids but without side effects and mood changes. I went from 15 inch arms to 16 and a half in less than a month after years of not exercising. Only negative thing is large amounts of fat storage so extreme cardio is a must daily. I feel so motivated again and so full of life just like before when I was so motivated in the gym years ago, not planning on quitting at all. I obviously do a good routine, amino acids, protein and plenty of sleep. I like your channel I will subscribe.
Very informative. My brother and sister are both type one and I was trying to figure out how to utilize there type one diabetes to help them grow in the gym.

I have the opposite problem, I have hypoglycemia. When I eat lots of carbs during the day, at night my body shuts off. Sleep apnea, stop breathing, and circulation shuts off. I control the amount of carbs I eat, and sugars. Can I do body building?
Get your body used to complex carbs and proteins, stop eating bread, oatmeal, rice and fruits high in fructose those foods are loaded with carbs, do you drink water instead of juice? I know drinking water all the time gets boring but there are free sugar drinks. I recommend taking less than 30 grams of carbs a day and eating green veggies and meat.

Been a type 1 diabetic for 2 years now, been training for 3 (natty). When people come up to me and compliment me by asking what I’m taking, I was never really sure wether to say insulin. As someone with a unique situation, being that I’ve been training for more than I’ve had to use insulin I can confirm it is in fact twice as hard to put on muscle. Most people are convinced of the opposite -that it’s twice as easy lol. Sure it comes down to how well you manage your glucose but most times it’s just completely out of your control. We have to maintain a certain range, without going too high or too low that others body’s do automatically. Those still with functional pancreas’s that inject themselves with even more insulin usually just get fat as from what I’ve seen. If they manage to still be amongst the living that is.

Hello Graham, i discovered you yesterday and i'm loving your videos :D. I'im Type 1 since 2015 and i kinda have a good control. I started doing Calisthenics i and i have a endomorphic body and fast metabolism, and i'd like to think that i'll be able to get shredded with costant training even if , from time to time i have some hyperglycemia. From what i understood it doesn't nullify completely the muscle gain, but it slow it down in some % if i'm not mistaken right? So it's kinda extra work, but i'm motivated enough to keep going and achieve some results :).
Type 1 diabetic, started training again about 7 weeks ago ( am 21, last in the gym at 16) weighed in at 81kg at 186cm tall, now at 94kg . Eat more and take more insulin, I haven’t checked my bloods in years . I’m stubborn but it works for me I guess
Check your bloods my guy. Probably the biggest mistake is not checking your bloods or try using a CGM. I used to think my bloods were fine and just upped my insulin intake. Turns out my body was averaging sugars of 15-20 mmol which is like 400-500mg/dL which is definitely very dangerous in the long term.
I only needed insulin after I received my covid vaccine before then I was managing fine with metformin. That being said I got my diabetes from going a fridge too far and being inactive for 12 years. I started going to the gym 2 weeks ago to get in better shape. I go twice per day I do 30 minutes of cardio and 1.5 hours of weights. Diet is also important. I changed my diet months ago to just meats and vegetables and I've had much less of a need for insulin. I have the occasional cheat day which requires a bit of insulin. Since going to the gym twice per day I've needed no insulin. I have a coffee and drink 2 eggs for breakfast and I'm in the gym, I have 4 bottles of water during morning. At lunch I'll drink 2 more eggs and have some meat and 1 more coffee. I'll drink I bottle of water which I add grey salt so I know the water I drink gets absorbed. I'll go back to the gym for another 2 hours. I make sure to drink 2 to 3 more bottles of water during and after my workout. I then go home to make dinner for me and the kids and it's usually meat and vegetables of some kind. I also forgot to mention I do a ddp yoga workout before my morning gym workout and another before bed. As an experiment I made spaghetti for supper last night and I took some insulin just incase but it wasn't needed. I had a sugar low after 2 bowls of spaghetti and I didn't take a lot of insulin. My diabetes is getting a lot better to a point where I'm on the brink of managing it only with exercise and diet. I add about 10lbs of weight lifting capability per day and have decreased the time it takes for me to run 2km by 6 minutes in 2 weeks. At bed time I rub myself down with vicks vaporub and I wake up with no pain ready to beast myself at the gym again. I also have to add that I take 1tsp of cayenne pepper mixed in a shot of water every day and 2tbs of apple cider vinegar in 1.5 cups of water every day as well. I also spend 15 minutes after every workout in the sauna
I have NEVER heard that diabetes gives me an advantage to building muscle. I have however been in a cycle for about 8+ years of trying to build muscle and just can’t seem to get it right. I’m 28 currently been diabetic (Type 1) since age 3 (25+ years); endomorph. My main disadvantage when I do try to muscle build and supplements and all of that; is the added stress from working out tends to spike my glucose levels to extremes (300+) and it’s hard to correct. I can go into the gym and train at a normal level but once I’m done I spike and its always in the 300 or 400 range and it is tough to correct at times.
1. I always start training after 2 hours after eating and taking injection. 2. measure blood lvl just before training - > - if you have about 300 take 1 humalog unit and do some 15 hard cardio after training you will have good sugar - if you have about 250 eat a big banana and 2 humalog units and then go for 10min light cardio -if you have about 200 just train you ll be fine after (its important to be 2 hours after injection, because in this case if you ll be for ex. after 3-4 hours you could end up with 360 after) if you have about 100 do cardio and you can eat about 30g of carbohydrates during 2 hours workout but dont forget cardio. And always after long 2 hour training (i mainly play basketball) take about 2-3hg because after training bloodsugar always raise but be aware that the increase depends on type of activity. I wouldnt recommend giving injections after endurance, cardio only training. I just share how i manage it, so adjust it for yourself. I am 200cm and weight 86kg, i also train about 11 hours per week. So my insulin intakes may differ from yours. I play basketball, do high intensity interval trainings, static strenght, 1 hour of stretching and i run 5km once per week because i like, even if its not recommended.
From what I understand, the insulin that the huge bodybuilders take is needed because the hard-core muscle growth things which they take make them insulin resistant. Great info Brother. I’ve been type 1 for 45 years. I competed in bodybuilding back in the early 1980’s. I’m 55 now but started training again five months ago. Found your channel three days ago.
We are ALL sinners that fall short of the glory of God. And we ALL are deserving of eternal punishment in hell because sin is so serious (sin is evil and it is the cause of all pain, death, and suffering). And that’s why Jesus suffered soooo much for us, and that’s why He died on the cross for ALL our sins (past, present, AND future sins) and rose from the dead 3 days later! Jesus did all this because He loves us sooooo much, you can’t even fully comprehend it! And you may have eternal life with Him if you repent (to change your mind about Jesus, to believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord our God) and have faith in Him, then you will be saved! (Let’s make it clear that being a good person WILL NOT get you into Heaven! You can only be saved by the grace God will show you, if you repent and have faith in Jesus and in what Jesus did for us on the cross and that He rose from the dead 3 days after He died for us! ONLY THEN, will you will be saved)! And do not wait because you do not know when you will die (sit and think deeply about that. You have NO CLUE when you will die! Today could be your last day, tonight could be your last night. You can die in your sleep or even in the next hour!) Im saying all this because I want you to realize how urgent and important it is to have Jesus! If you have Jesus, you will NEVER have to worry! You won’t have to worry about school, family problems, life, or EVEN DEATH because you will have the LORD your GOD, RIGHT BY YOUR SIDE, EVERY SINGLE DAY, EVERY SINGLE HOUR, EVER SINGLE MINUTE and EVERY SINGLE SECOND of your life! GOD can help you through ANY challenge, through ANY hardship, and through ANY depressing time in your life! GOD WILL NEVER leave you, GOD WILL NEVER forget about you, GOD WILL NEVER betray you, GOD WILL NEVER forsake you, and GOD WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!! And that is why GOD is calling you RIGHT NOW to be saved!

Insulin is the most anabolic substance produced by the boy and when you take a synthetic form of it it's even better like taking trt is better then natural test if you are a type one and keep you blood sugar on point you can use ur insulin to add size when the insulin is in your body like within the four our window some up to six your body is sucking nutrients into your body and muscles

Hah I’m a type 1 diabetic, and I don’t feel like it’s harder for me to gain muscle. I’m easily the biggest and strongest dude among my friends. Diabetes is not an excuse. Eat more, take more insulin.

@@4thisbeats279 libre is crap

Good video! Where have you been all my life😇
Hello Graham, i discovered you yesterday and i'm loving your videos :D.
How is it going
I had a part of my Pancras taken out so it turned me diabetic so it was a wipe process
2. measure blood lvl just before training - >
- if you have about 300 take 1 humalog unit and do some 15 hard cardio after training you will have good sugar
- if you have about 250 eat a big banana and 2 humalog units and then go for 10min light cardio
-if you have about 200 just train you ll be fine after (its important to be 2 hours after injection, because in this case if you ll be for ex. after 3-4 hours you could end up with 360 after)
if you have about 100 do cardio and you can eat about 30g of carbohydrates during 2 hours workout but dont forget cardio.
Chris Vassar that makes zero sense
If you don’t have and take insulin, especially regularly, you will die.
Can I get one of those tshirts please?
I'm type1 , 25 years old is weightlifting good for me?
Its not insulin guys its "inshulin"
I cannot grow muscle at all after getting serious covid which lead to diabetes
Are there any extra dangers to be aware of with exogenous testosterone usage (500mg/week) with type 1 diabetes.
I have been diabetic since I was 5 there are times I will go a week without having to take a shot it's all on the food and how you exercise
Im not gonna say to much but this is true

You complicate things, and go away from the main topic, plz be exact on what is your headline.....
are you diabetic?
Bulshit
Come on you talk so much about diabetes but you don’t know how to pronounce it
We are ALL sinners that fall short of the glory of God.
Very relevant
Science can say whatever wants, but experience tells me this myth is true... All the diabetic bodybuilder I've met are huge and looking at your massive body my opinion is stronger than before.
