Our scheduled flight going to Vancouver was aborted in the air -the pilot landed the aircraft back safely to Winnipeg International Airport due to unscheduled maintenance that occurred and it is because of a faulty coffee maker causing our flight delayed for 5 hours.

That's what I asked myself. I'm guessing that there was some sort of fire hazard with the way it was working.
because coffee makers are electrical and when it becomes faulty it could indicate a fire hazard that's how i understand about the situation that happens
Once again, these airline companies never really cared for the passengers. I mean, the run-around that happened in Toronto, to that of having a coffee maker that may cause a fire on board. Even when checking in my luggage, at Winnipeg airport, staff do not help you any further than they must....only there to tag and making sure you get your pass, and with NO customer personality. Even all said, and done correctly, someone was booked in the same seat as what i booked on board, and the poor senior lady had to move to a different seat. The airliners should know now that the government had to step-in, after folks got their luggage lost in Toronto that year. Airline companies are not Kings.....they have to know that people will not get screwed around anylobger.
