How GDP growth rate can be an indicator of a countries economic midht?. Suppose a beggar earns 50rs daily as an average. During some festival season he starts making daily 75 rs., which means he had achieved 50 percent growth in his earning. On the other hand an MBA qualified manager who was earning 100000 rs per month gets an increment of 10000 rs which means his growth of income is only ren percent. Does it mean that the beggar is smarter than the MBA qualified manager. A sprinter who clocks 12 secs can easily improve to 11.5 secs wheras an olympic contestant has to practice a lot just to imrove from 10.1 secs to 10.05 secs. So a poor country could easily make better GDP nt than countries like US which are already with isfied population.

Today we have doubled our economy to 4tr and are about to surpass Japan. In the next 6 years we will become an 8 trillion economy after which 1 trillion will be added to India's economy every year.

And in America it costs 40 to 50 dollars. Our 3000 dollars is equal to America's 30000 dollars. In America it takes millions of dollars to send a statelite into space but India sends satellites into space at 10 times less cost than America because of purchasing power! This is the reason why GDP in the world is measured in PPP terms in which India's GDP is 15 trillion. That is why purchasing power is important because in America even if you have 1000 dollars, you can only buy petrol and diesel with it but in India you can even buy land for 1000 dollars. But despite that I still say that India's nominal GDP should increase so that more money comes to India and more development happens and India becomes an 8 trillion economy in the next few years.
