  • Many men whose partners have suffered a miscarriage feel there is not enough support for them as they cope with losing their babies.
Liam and Matt have started a podcast for fathers who have lost babies. They came up with the idea at FC Vilomah, a football club for bereaved dads.
They say that the podcast helped them to get through their grief and they hope it can help other partners who have lost children.

Fantastic that this issue is being raised. My wife and I suffered a miscarriage and there wasn't much support offered to her and none to me. I remember being sat in the miscarriage room in the hospital thinking this is a terrible low moment, how many other dads have sat in here and felt this crushing sadness and loss. More should be done. Having someone to talk to is a massive step forward. Keep up the great work guys. Man hugs.

I’ve been in a similar situation too mate, and it’s not something I’d wish on anyone. I was 21. For me it was like getting punched in the gut and being winded for a long time afterwards. Hope and excitement replaced by despair and sorrow by a sentence spoken by a doctor.

Totally hear you! We had a miscarriage early on in a pregnancy a couple of years ago and it left us in tatters. I remember waiting alone for my wife in day surgery to remove the baby which had passed and just feeling completely heartbroken, definitely the lowest point of my life. Very little was offered in any form of support, just a conversation at the time of being told we had lost the baby with the nurse and then straight into surgery then out the door home. It was just awful!

My mother & father had miscarriages before me….
They were afraid of losing another child so they wanted to know if they should have me, they were anxious & depressed & worn out…. Afraid of the future if I could be brought into this world.
They took the chance and I am alive, they never forgotten the children that could’ve & should’ve been however they are both in a better and happier place.
Miscarriage hit my dad & mother pretty hard especially for my father who never had the sibling he always yearned for. My sister was solo until I came along and changed everything. My father wanted her to have a sibling so, it broke his heart when he couldn’t do it twice in a row.
Lets remember, when parents lose their child. Parents lose a piece of themselves…. Parents lose a piece of themselves….

Men can feel the emotional toll of losing a child specially a child that wasn’t even born yet it maybe not in him but in his heart the child was there. My partner pushed his pain into his work as he pushed and pull the trolleys after we lose three pregnancies two miscarriages and a ectopic pregnancy.

I'm 29 I'm inconsolable I didn't like the woman she was abusive. The baby isn't here anymore. She drank and positioned it. Still I feel like it was my responsibility to protect the child. I had no prior knowledge of its existence. I'm an alcoholic 2 years clean and I'm 4 days into a binge now and no food and crying constantly. Understand this men, we do hurt. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

@TheMetalGuy852 They can't humanize men, or we'll start wanting equal rights, end of genital mutilation, the demonizing of us, and the harsh double standard we live by. It's that simple tbh. They need subservience from men, not a person.

Nobody deserves to go Through what my sister and I are Going through, My Heart is filled with so much Pain and Bitterness, my sister and I are going through so much Misery and Hunger, I’ve never felt Sooo Suicidal all my life😞. I know people will rain insults on me for doing this but right now I’d rather ask for help than endure this kind of pain and penury. I’m 19 years old, my sister is 16, She’s My only surviving sibling and Family. We lost our parents in the space of 7 Months in 2017 and ever since then our lives Crumbled. Even if my Whole Wody is filled with Mouths it still won’t be enough to Describe The level of Hardship we’ve endured. We Barely Eat These Days, I can’t even remember the Last time we had a Really good meal, it Breaks My Heart to see my little sister cry for food and I Can’t Help, I had a petty job that Used to Help Put Food on our Table but I lost the Job Bcs I Refused to sleep with the monster I was Working for who was constantly Molesting me. I know it’s Wrong to do this😔😢, This Plea is From a Place of utmost Sincerity, my sister and I need to eat, I need little financial Assistance So I can go to the local Markets and Buy Some groceries (food items) that will Keep us Alive even if it’s just for a Short while, I’ll be Forever Grateful, If you’ve ever been in a difficult place where you didn’t know where Your next meal would come from, Please come to our rescue, Nothing is too small, Nothing is too Big to help 😔🙏🙏♥️. God bless.

Next can we address how the gynocetrism in society affects men? Then can we cover how Genital Mutilation affects men? How about how sexism affects men, since that's typically ignored, or maybe how centuries of forced manual labor to benefit the female has affected men? Lower lifespans, more health problems, and almost definitely caused by how men are treated. We're treated so poorly, we're practically deemed disposable in society, where women are deemed irreplaceable.

    • @alvaro701

There isn't in history suck thing about forced manual labor to benefit the female, completly the opposite.

edit: not too happy about this because yemen is being run into the ground. it is still odd what the bbc chooses and it's a choice, to talk about. you are forgetting during the syrian conflict, most people online were sending out aid and information to deal with what was happening in syria, such as how to make homemade mustard gas masks. i think that's why there's people trying to contact you and you still turn a blind eye to what actually happens in the world.
