Coming to visit the area next month with my lady. Thinking of moving there perhaps next year. I have been watching your videos for a few months now. Appreciate the content!
I miss Oregon because my wife and I went to college in Portland, and I like Oregon culture and people....but I could never live in Portland or Salem or Eugene because of the chronic overcast. I would love to live in southern Oregon but finding a job is the main issue. Maybe for retirement one day.
My favorite neighborhood in Ashland is the Wrights creek/Orchard St. area by Hald/Strawberry Park! I lived up there for 30+ years and it very peaceful! Over the years I noticed not many people in Ashland even knew that neighborhood existed?! Also, I. Liked slightly higher and longer lasting snow amounts in the winter! But be careful of Wimer street, very steep! Lol

We went yard sale-ing in those neighborhoods. Really great deals! (Rich people give away the best stuff for next to nothing when they clean house!).

What about the Siskiyou Blvd area?
it's garbageville. Try Portland or Seattle
