I can't thank you enough. I started these stretches 3 days ago for my herniated disc's and the pain has been more manageable as the days go by. The pain will last for weeks and it's unbearable to the point I have weakness in my legs upon standing or walking. But now, after watching this video and performing the stretches for a 3rd day, my stability upon standing and walking have improved. I also incorporated your other video with the morning routine for stiff backs ❤ appreciate the short but very helpful videos.

Instant relief. I'm almost positive it herniated a disk in my lower back working out. Deadlift hurts if you do it wrong FYI. Laying in bed and I just did these stretches, oh my God do I freaking feel better. ❤

Unfortunately, I don't know that answer since I can't evaluate you. Everyone is different. If there is any way you can see a physical therapist in person, they should be able to help you figure out a specific program for you and help answer your questions.
Love your videos. I don't think I have a herniated disc (although eager to know your opinion???) The last summer I did a lot of crunches and a hell of a lot of ab workout on the floor with nothing underneath and myself just a shorts.... I ended up having a very intense pain at the lower back on the right side of the hip exactly one of the bones that lead to hips from your back.... Been to physio but I think here they want to squeeze every penny out of you and keep you coming ( it happened years ago too ....) ... Finally after a few pain killers I got slightly better and got a lot better after pushing myself to do weighted squats.... What would you suggest? Thanks. God bless
Thanks! Unfortunately, I don't know that answer since I can't evaluate you. Everyone is different, and that could be a few different things. Did your physio give you a specific diagnosis?
@@AskDoctorJo she said it was purely muscular and probably multiple cramps which to me translate s as BS ... If you know what you are talking about you won't say PROBABLY when you have already explored ( touched the muscles) right?
Hi Dr. I have bone on bone at my 5L and S1. Having surgery soon. Dont know if any of my di sks are herniated. Just had MRI last week. Will these exercises help until surgery?

I'm suffering from c5, c6 or c7 herniated disc plz help suggest some exercise. Note: apart from neck and shoulders pain I experience the rib cage both front and back muscles or perhaps bones on the left side and both my lower limbs especially buttock region are in extreme pain almost everyday😢 plz help

Hi dr Jo, I have low back pain but I also have very tight abdominal muscles, are these related and what do you recommend?
What if my herniated disc is in my T8 area?
Will these stretches still be relevant for this area?
They might help some, but stretches and exercises more specific to the thoracic spine would be more helpful.
Is knee to chest chest only for herniated disk or lower back tightness
It can help with back and hip pain, tightness, and for general relaxation.
