I think its going to be a thread or silk theme, since the card name is death trap, like a spiders web, it looks kinda like a cocoon, and a web theme would fit the sentinel role, for slowing pushes or stopping adversaries

I think its skillset would have a new mechanic. My prediction it could be a sentinel that could disperse the enemy smoke. Based on the codename smokedancer. I thought it could be cool tho to have the agent that could disperse smoke lol
One thing I would like to point out, Riot said that they would release 3 agents this year, a sentinel, an initiator and another one that isn't specified. Because Gekko was the initiator it is safe to assume that the new agent will be either a controller, duelist, or a sentinel. Based on what Valorant has been doing in the previous years, I personally believe that the new agent will be the sentinel. For the past couple releases they have been giving us controllers, initiators, and duelists so it would feel natural to kind of balance it out and make a sentinel next. But, these are just what I believe. To who ever reads this, feel free to comment and let me know your thoughts on the new agent.
I think what could be a cool (yet annoying) part of the fact that it’s gonna be a sentinel would be it can place a sort of microphone that picks up the enemy teams voice chat, but if it’s through a wall it would be very muffled and probably have a timer for how long you can listen. But it would also have a little icon in like the bottom corner of your screen that shows that you’re being heard, not very easy to notice though so idk

Seen a valorant dev clip where they said the new agent is going to be a female, and with the codename cashew I'm guessing she's gonna have plant based abilities and with plant based abilities it could have slows, stuns, heals so probably a sentinel as there isn't many of those in the game and we haven't seen a sentinel in a while. And since the card is called 'death trap' it's all the more reason to suspect that. As you could trap people with your ultimate, something like with killjoy.
I think its a self lore, we know that omen couldnt be revived into human form by sage. Thus it comes to my senses that this is the same case, where the agent was almost dead and so damaged emotionally and physically that it couldnt be revived by sage and had been kept in a container monitored by killjoy and viper to being back the best duelist agent who was the best agent who never let down a mission but rather was star of the team, or why else would the agent be kept so safe and pure as if they wanted him back so bad? Lore agent for sure... one of the oldest agent in the lore maybe? Maybe we could connect it to the gaming episode of gekko? Where we scroll down and see more players where it includes the 008 agent? I think its related with sage because 007 is sage and sage never revived the agent like omen and left them half dead. Seems like the best lore to me here lads! Cheers!
This card looks to me a lot like a spider's web and someone wrapped in the web, just like spiders do with insects. And it would make sense for a sentinel to use a web skill to trap enemies or something like that. Conclusion: we will have spider man in the game.
My theory on the new valorant agent is (if we go with the elements theme) that it is a mist type person, since the center of the pod looks like smoke and is white-ish silver like fog, so maybe a sentinal with smokes that last as long like jett's if it is even going to be a sentinal? to me it seems it is either agent 8 or someone agent 8 saved is in the pod bcoz he was too hurt up until his reveal to us. This could explain why agent 8 was never shown or if it was someone close to agent 8 and felt hurt to be even around the protocol after the incident and hence left.
It sorta looks like a shapeshifting skill. You know how Clark Kent spins into a tornado before turning into superman. That the same vibe I've been getting with that art. No that isn’t KAYO’s dad💀 KAYO is from an alternate universe where Reyna led an army of radiants, specifically Astra, Skye and Sage where they tore the entire planet apart, to the point where KAY/O is created as the ultimate radiant killer (hence-forth the ability to shut down any radianite machines and radiants. Eventually KAYO kills the AU Reyna, but the world is in ruin so he leaves and comes through the teleporter on breeze bringing him to our world.
I bet we already know what she looks like, if you look at the loading screen and see the woman with the ares it's definitely not Sage. I bet it's the next agent.
According to the current state of the lore, KAY/O isn't said to have a family as humans do. He does have semblances of human emotions, and he is actually friends with Brimstone, but he doesn't have a family, he is a machine of war after all. (I also don't think there is another model of such anti-radiant machinery in existence)
i actually think it’s ice, it doesnt have to look more natural; look at mei frok overwatch. on top of that, the difference and fade in the blue color around the edges is very prominent and looks like it can freeze
I doubt it's agent 8 because the devs said one of the agents would be a familiar face and it isn't agent 8 at the start of the year, but that could be the third agent so maybe it is just don't get your hopes too high

a healer doesnt need to be a sentinal tho, and we dont really need healers, and the agents confirmed to be a sentinal also if you dont know, agents come out every 4 months and maps every 6, gekko came out march so the new agents(probably)coming in july, lotus on the other hand came out January meaning a new map will probably come june or july, maybe they will release an agent AND a map?

Technically she's an earthbender (I think), the radianite being a sort of mineral and her capacity to revive someone being related a lot to the earth (earth is associated with life).
In addition to the #008, there is another inscription that says (0-1 K). This could be gibberish, or it could point to a cryo-stasis chamber. K is the symbol for the unit of temperature Kelvin, and this unit is only used when dealing with extreme temperatures. I can't make out the other two inscriptions, but they might have more clues to who this agent is. Also this agent is basically confirmed to be a sentinel, Riot said the first agent released this year would be initiator, second would be sentinel, and the third is unknown. Besides, there are only 4 sentinels in the game, lowest of any agent class.
this battlepass has a lot of lore 1) maxbot player card is literally called "best served cold", plus omens voiceline from a previous update saying maxbot has been watching them. this means maxbot is out for revenge, hence best served cold 2) there is a player card showing kay/o's POV detecting neon, jett and phoenix as radiants, while kj is not highlighted, as she is human. in one of the emails (same update as the omen voiceline with maxbot), sage was discussing about how to classify radiants, as children of first light were definately radiants, but people like gekko and yoru and astra were anomalies (the definition of radiants was unclear) 3) there is a player card called "Scylla and Charybdis" showing chamber holding a golden puppet of himself with his tour de force. Scylla and Charybdis are 2 monsters out at sea and in one of the greek stories (i think it was the odyssey or smth), odysseus had to choose to row his boat closer to either scylla or charybdis thus "choosing between scylla and charybdis" is basically a way of saying "choosing the lesser of 2 evils", which could mean thay chamber's past of destroying the collider in fracture was the lesser of 2 evils, and was necessary to avoid certain doom smaller details: omen remembers spray: could mean some of his memories of working at kingdom are coming back? the edge of everything card: looks ominous, fearures a ALTAS helmet, with 2 radianite boxes (one green, one orange) nothing to lose card: viper staring at a viper toxin chamber/tube or smth, idk what the significance is...
I feel like this agent is somewhat similar to omen, just IF riot is taking that path. Its not a human nor is an individual, its probably some being or some *power* that came from an experiment pod just like omen. And if you looked to the same battle pass this agent is also teased on the cards, theres a smoke-like being with blue and dark-ish blue similar to omen but too monster-y to be omen, and then on the buddies there is a mask with the same blue and dark blue colors on top of the silver mask on this same exact battle pass. But this is just my theory

It was confirmed long ago that Sage's abilities are not ice, they are jade. In terms of elements, Sage is the "earth-bender", while Phoenix deals with fire, Jett with wind, and Harbor with water. An ice-themed agent would be cool.
Kayo is a robot made by humans to save future earth from radiants. Reyna ruled the earth killing off all humans. kayo defeated Reyna and went through a rift to present earth when they were fighting mirror earth. the way this ties into the theory stated in the video is because reyna might not have gotten to him 008 and he went to the rift himself. this info doesn’t really give any evidence into what the new agent will be about but it my have something todo with him.(also kayo has some pretty crazy voice lines to the radiants in-game.)

Seen a valorant dev clip where they said the new agent is going to be a female, and with the codename cashew I'm guessing she's gonna have plant based abilities and with plant based abilities it could have slows, stuns, heals so probably a sentinel as there isn't many of those in the game and we haven't seen a sentinel in a while. And since the card is called 'death trap' it's all the more reason to suspect that. As you could trap people with your ultimate, something like with killjoy.
Maybe it's Reyna's sister being fed the souls she captures.

I think its a self lore, we know that omen couldnt be revived into human form by sage. Thus it comes to my senses that this is the same case, where the agent was almost dead and so damaged emotionally and physically that it couldnt be revived by sage and had been kept in a container monitored by killjoy and viper to being back the best duelist agent who was the best agent who never let down a mission but rather was star of the team, or why else would the agent be kept so safe and pure as if they wanted him back so bad?
Lore agent for sure... one of the oldest agent in the lore maybe? Maybe we could connect it to the gaming episode of gekko? Where we scroll down and see more players where it includes the 008 agent? I think its related with sage because 007 is sage and sage never revived the agent like omen and left them half dead.

This card looks to me a lot like a spider's web and someone wrapped in the web, just like spiders do with insects. And it would make sense for a sentinel to use a web skill to trap enemies or something like that. Conclusion: we will have spider man in the game.

My theory on the new valorant agent is (if we go with the elements theme) that it is a mist type person, since the center of the pod looks like smoke and is white-ish silver like fog, so maybe a sentinal with smokes that last as long like jett's if it is even going to be a sentinal?
to me it seems it is either agent 8 or someone agent 8 saved is in the pod bcoz he was too hurt up until his reveal to us. This could explain why agent 8 was never shown or if it was someone close to agent 8 and felt hurt to be even around the protocol after the incident and hence left.

It sorta looks like a shapeshifting skill. You know how Clark Kent spins into a tornado before turning into superman. That the same vibe I've been getting with that art. However that would seem more futuristic and stuff.

I think it’s Reynas little sister because we know she isn’t dead from a voice line and I think Reyna is keeping her alive by collecting more souls since we know that is how she stays alive

It would make sense from an ability standpoint too that this agent would be themed around a spider. Death trap being the name of the card and upon googling spider coon you can really see the similarity to the figure in question in the card.
The new sentinel will most likely be a woman too due to the last 2 agents being male. Plus it makes more sense that a female would be a femme fatale, a black widow type female character. plusss riot love using similar looking agents on valorant to ones they have on LoL and they have Elise.
A web I feel is a bit too close to cyphers tripwires and if it were like an op version of cyphers tripwire I feel like it may be taking away any balance they've just promoted after cypher buffs.
It's hard as well to have abilities that aren't somewhat similar to others. A web could end up being like Cyphers trip wire, Fades tether or Chambers trademark but can be unique enough to be slightly different.
I think if it were a spider like theme then:
ability 1 - Webshot - a semi- blinding web that when shot at an enemy/enemies will obscure their vision temporarily)
ability 2 - Weaver - ( this ability spreads a web like structure across 2 points of an area that, like sages wall slows entry but if an enemy touches it the agent is instantly alerted. You can shoot through it but abilities get stuck in it too, like Skye and gekkos util + any projectiles bounce off but, though easily breakable, due to its nature you have to use your knife to slash through it to break it.
ability 3 - Trapdoor - (utility is laid down invisibly on either the floor, a wall or a ceiling and can be activated by agent to release a stun/venom but much like how trapdoor spiders rely on ground vibration, this trap is only set off if it detects agents running past/over and not crouch walking)
ult - Lair - (This ult creates a somewhat decently sized radius that spreads a web in some shape or form around the point of activation, with anyone who enters the area able to be detected if they move, much like how a spider detects prey. lasts same time as a kj ult, but if you don't move whilst already inside the ult area it doesn't detect you) / (Though still a web, a less op version would be that in a similar way to kjs ult there is a countdown and enemies can get stuck in 1 spot but still have their gun out, so unlike kjs ult where players can move slowly with no guns there is still a chance to fight back, but you cannot turn around on the spot or move)
I feel, like a healthy balanced mix of the others, this agent will, like Sage, have a projectile slow down, a spread wall of web as a mix of her and cypher too, a proximity type trip like chamber and then based off her abilities she will have an ult that detects similar to cypher but not map-wide

KAYO is from an alternate universe where Reyna led an army of radiants, specifically Astra, Skye and Sage where they tore the entire planet apart, to the point where KAY/O is created as the ultimate radiant killer (hence-forth the ability to shut down any radianite machines and radiants.
Eventually KAYO kills the AU Reyna, but the world is in ruin so he leaves and comes through the teleporter on breeze bringing him to our world.
Please don't let it be an agent with trapping or slowing capabilities.... Am having enough issues with Harbors walls as Neon x.x

According to the current state of the lore, KAY/O isn't said to have a family as humans do. He does have semblances of human emotions, and he is actually friends with Brimstone, but he doesn't have a family, he is a machine of war after all. (I also don't think there is another model of such anti-radiant machinery in existence)

I doubt it's agent 8 because the devs said one of the agents would be a familiar face and it isn't agent 8 at the start of the year, but that could be the third agent so maybe it is just don't get your hopes too high

also if you dont know, agents come out every 4 months and maps every 6, gekko came out march so the new agents(probably)coming in july, lotus on the other hand came out January meaning a new map will probably come june or july, maybe they will release an agent AND a map?

Technically she's an earthbender (I think), the radianite being a sort of mineral and her capacity to revive someone being related a lot to the earth (earth is associated with life).

In addition to the #008, there is another inscription that says (0-1 K). This could be gibberish, or it could point to a cryo-stasis chamber. K is the symbol for the unit of temperature Kelvin, and this unit is only used when dealing with extreme temperatures. I can't make out the other two inscriptions, but they might have more clues to who this agent is. Also this agent is basically confirmed to be a sentinel, Riot said the first agent released this year would be initiator, second would be sentinel, and the third is unknown. Besides, there are only 4 sentinels in the game, lowest of any agent class.
this battlepass has a lot of lore
1) maxbot player card is literally called "best served cold", plus omens voiceline from a previous update saying maxbot has been watching them. this means maxbot is out for revenge, hence best served cold
2) there is a player card showing kay/o's POV detecting neon, jett and phoenix as radiants, while kj is not highlighted, as she is human. in one of the emails (same update as the omen voiceline with maxbot), sage was discussing about how to classify radiants, as children of first light were definately radiants, but people like gekko and yoru and astra were anomalies (the definition of radiants was unclear)
3) there is a player card called "Scylla and Charybdis" showing chamber holding a golden puppet of himself with his tour de force. Scylla and Charybdis are 2 monsters out at sea and in one of the greek stories (i think it was the odyssey or smth), odysseus had to choose to row his boat closer to either scylla or charybdis
thus "choosing between scylla and charybdis" is basically a way of saying "choosing the lesser of 2 evils", which could mean thay chamber's past of destroying the collider in fracture was the lesser of 2 evils, and was necessary to avoid certain doom
smaller details:
omen remembers spray: could mean some of his memories of working at kingdom are coming back?
the edge of everything card: looks ominous, fearures a ALTAS helmet, with 2 radianite boxes (one green, one orange)
nothing to lose card: viper staring at a viper toxin chamber/tube or smth, idk what the significance is...

I feel like this agent is somewhat similar to omen, just IF riot is taking that path. Its not a human nor is an individual, its probably some being or some *power* that came from an experiment pod just like omen. And if you looked to the same battle pass this agent is also teased on the cards, theres a smoke-like being with blue and dark-ish blue similar to omen but too monster-y to be omen, and then on the buddies there is a mask with the same blue and dark blue colors on top of the silver mask on this same exact battle pass. But this is just my theory

It was confirmed long ago that Sage's abilities are not ice, they are jade. In terms of elements, Sage is the "earth-bender", while Phoenix deals with fire, Jett with wind, and Harbor with water. An ice-themed agent would be cool.

Kayo is a robot made by humans to save future earth from radiants. Reyna ruled the earth killing off all humans. kayo defeated Reyna and went through a rift to present earth when they were fighting mirror earth. the way this ties into the theory stated in the video is because reyna might not have gotten to him 008 and he went to the rift himself. this info doesn’t really give any evidence into what the new agent will be about but it my have something todo with him.(also kayo has some pretty crazy voice lines to the radiants in-game.)
