What will you do if it they leak? You have have to have some sort of material that will hold up over time to seal in the gasses. I don't think it's a good idea because remember when they use to use propane as a refrigerant? It worked but they stopped using it because it was not safe. I'm not trying to knock your idea at all. Atleast you are thinking of new stuff I'm just pointing out some things to keep in mind along the way.
I think it'll be a better idea just to print the casing and add regular bullets to them and it'll be like a plastic bullet. But the whole idea is to have an alternative way of ammo if you can't get the regular components. I think the way to go is 3D print the case and the bullet because plastic bullets already exists but they cost more to make but just 3D printing the case will bring down the cost of bullets significantly. The only think is how will they pre form and how will they hold up? I think they will do just fine because plastic bullets do relatively well.

No way to print the propellant or functional primers that fire, while printing the cartridge. Now could you print the metallic components, YEP! I'm sure, with current 3D printing capabilities, the metallic components: Bullets and Case, could be 3D printed! Primer case and anvil could be 3D printed, but all printed separately. The trick is the propellant charge and primer charge, for those of you thinking about this. Not sure a 3D printed Bullet and Case would be cost effective though.

I believe a better idea is to just print the bullet casings and just add the bellets. We already have plastic bullets and they do relatively well but they are expensive. If you can find the right material to print them out of it will bring down the cost of bullets significantly. Think about it its just another alternative idea. Ill even let you have it for free. Im just throwing it out there. Seems like it may be easier to do than to find or have a specific 3D printing material made specifically for bullets. Yes i know the whole idea is to have bullets when you cant get the components but bullets seem to be available.
Idk. Try it. Im just thinking that it woll work a lot better and probably easier to find 3D printing material just for the case it self. Matter of fact seems like you have the perfect spool for it. Only thing is teat to mskensure it can hold the pressures of regular bullets because i bet they are different from 3D bullets.

I was watching this questioning my whole existence and 10 years of 3D printing experience. I knew it was fake but a part of me really wanted to believe this lol

You had me for a few minutes. It's as good as Fort Scott Munitions .308 assisted ammo from last years April's fools joke.

The case rips apart even if using an actual projectile, would have to be made of a polymer similar to PEEK or PEKK with carbon to hold the pressure but at that point it’s going to cost ten dollars a pop ….

Funny, but tooooo obviously 'fake news'.
I was still disappointed to see that you failed to clear your rifle properly. 😢

Use brass, or copper for projectile weight. Still not as heavy as lead, but still weighty..., April fools

I caught on right when it said 3D printed ammo. There is absolutely no way filament from a 3D printer could handle the pressure. Lol.

You had me up to the powder bit. I then second guessed myself thinking maybe a gas under pressure is formed by..it had me thinking of possible methods and all.. i teal tried to decipher the "magic powder" element. Goid one guys

You guys are pretty close to making actual sim rounds. Ever since they banned sim rounds we havnt been making them and passing them around to our group of guys to train with.
They are amazing once you figure out how to not make them.
