Got a s21 ultra for my real estate business and just upgraded to 13 pro max for my personal. I will say when I’m at home lounging around I find myself using my ultra over my iPhone, just feel like I’m holding a powerhouse in my hands!

Got the S21Ultra recently, I have zero complaints, even w small hands lol it is pretty big, the one hand mode, being able to customize almost everything, the quad cameras w the director's mode and zoom are fantastic! I'm really enjoying this as I learn more daily but it supporting the s-pen was huge 🤩 (came from note5) that I loved it enough to keep going 6yrs & worked fine, when I traded it for this but all these new features, I discover/learn more about it daily, no issues, quicker & smoother lol I guess I forget how slow a older phone can get over time (had been years since any update for my old note5) But as each will find features in either to appease their needs & wants that's what matters most

I have used both iPhones and Androids over the past 10+ years. Both have strengths and weaknesses when compared to one another. However, I recently traded my iPhone12 for an S21 Ultra and I am so happy with my decision.
Thing is, iPhone really is not that great in comparison. I mean, iMessage and Facetime are literally all it has. iPhone's sucess is wholly dependent upon people feeling too tied up in their ecosystem to leave.
The ability to customize and side load apps is also important to me, something Apple will never allow. If they have such a grip on what you can do with a device you purchased, is it even your device?
I prefer a device that is a true multi-tool, a device that doesen't have training wheels. That is why I finally came back to Android.

So for the last 2 days I have been trying to give the “wonderful” iPhone a try.
    I don’t care for the iPhone’s keyboard.
It does not have the capability to create groups so I can see all my clients or see just family etc. ( talked to customer support he recommended that I send a suggestion to apple so they will add this feature. Really? Samsung had it forever.)
iPhone makes you close each app separately by swiping them up one at the time. Using Samsung you can CLOSE ALL open apps with one swoop. Or one at the time.
The iPhone app to move the data from my old phone (galaxy s10 plus) to the iPhone 13 pro max simply does NOT work.
I know all the apple lovers think it’s great, and after 2 days I am convinced that it is just OK, and since iPhone users don’t know what they are missing so it makes it great. Their advertising is superior which makes people believe that it is superior, but I am convinced now that Samsung make a better phone.
And lastly, most of the apps require pay to apple. Backup to the icloud.. Pay to apple. I backup to google for free. Apple is a greedy company as far as I can tell. Oh.. they sent me my 1st phone without charging capability. Really?
I am sure that I will find more disadvantages as I keep using it for the next few days.

@SuperSaf you missed some things that level some features out on the S21 Ultra. While the 13 Pro might support Dolby Vision video the S21 does support HDR10+ for video upto 4k. Furthermore the S21 can be unlocked by wearing a Google Wear or other wearable as well and it supports face recognition besides the fingerprint scanning. On the audio side the S21 does support hires/lossless audio upto the highest rates when using LDAC what's not support by the iPhone. I do think that these are important differences.

Having tried both phones I got a clear winner which is obviously S21 Ultra for so many reasons which is sad when 13 Pro Max Is new and still behind. People will be defending the slightest thing saying you can't see it or feel it etc. I use 13 pro right now since I do own other apple products and like the ecosystem itself but the phone is a different story.
The Resolution on iPhone. I thought something was wrong with my display but just a bad resolution. Why no 1440p 500ppi? YOU CAN EASILY TELL, it shocked me.
The 12mp Camera cannot be pushed more which can be seen. Not so sharp nor vibrant pictures other than good lighting it can give amazing pic. Videos iPhone wins though. Telephoto 3x and still got an F2.8? bruh, at least be on par with Samsung there or better xD
The Face ID has been inconsistent so far. I've had so many times it says it's unlocking but I can't swipe and have to press the power button and then press again and then it works.
120hz has been so awesome on iPhone but inconsistent again! Dunno if it is because apps are adjusting, might be? Spotify for example with animations seeming like it is on 30 frames. It's like the phone can't tell what is going on and is ramping down........ Not just in apps but also when I scroll in settings it sometimes is like ramping down... Should just stay 120hz till the screen is still or the content is something else.......
Also no Wifi 6E or Bluetooth 5.2! The Notch is still irritating, should have been narrower instead honestly. Love the battery life on the phone though! Amazing!
So S21 Ultra without a doubt a winner between them. I just like the iPhone with my other devices personally. Can't go wrong with either though.

Pick iphone for the best camera especially video, and render/edit photos/videos for productive is much efficient than samsung almost 5x times faster, gaming is also so much better on iphone its like playing on console, also the design overall is more aesthetic, premium & better overall, its more stylish for hangout or fitting your style.

Preferences definitely is the difference. I can say S21 is way more stylish with it's matte black finish and superior display and real estate. Cameras on S21 are more punchier if you like colors to pop and iphone are more realistic color wise. Night shots go to iphone as do the video capabilities but the S21 isn't to far behind in the video department. As far as overall functionality Samsung is king in that department having s-pen support is a game changer. I use it often and it's extremely helpful not to mention that Samsung has lots of Microsoft integration which helps a ton if one runs windows 10 etc. I always wonder why RUclipsrs never mention that. Samsung is always ahead of Apple in technology (wireless charging since 2015 on the S6), so I feel really odd going backwards and switching to an iPhone. But I do now have an iPhone 13 Pro Max. Mainly because Apple Carplay is better than Android Auto because of the split screen display the iPhone's integration does in my Mazda. That's the only thing I want from Apple that my Samsung doesn't have. That and easier compatibility with things like my LG OLED C1 TV. I had more trouble integrating my Note10+ than I do with my 13 pro max. I also think Siri is a smarter AI interaction than Google. Siri seems more humanlike, while Google is still very robotic.

Apple is well capable of these features and could have very comfortably added these features early on, but they know once all the good features are gone there will be nothing left to innovate on. The day apple finally gets rid of that notch and switches to a hole punch, that phone will sell like absolutely crazy. The day apple decides to upgrade that 12 megapixel camera to a 48 megapixel for example, that phone will sell like crazy as well. Im just curious to see what samsung will start doing once all the good stuff is gone. No hate though, i respect the S21 ultra and it really is a monster. Im just an iPhone guy 😅

    • @Chrisnuzzo76
      @Chrisnuzzo76 2 года назад

@@svgkiwi3578 so you're basically saying Apple are dicks and hold back technology to give Apple enthusiasts something to look forward to, that way they will force them to buy a new phone even if they could have had all those "new" options 2 or 3 years ago with Samsung. So money is their primary motivation, not customer satisfaction or building the best product that they can. Sounds a lot like what fossil fuel and electric companies did to Nikola Tesla when he created wireless free power. When he died the FBI took all his research from his hotel room safe and laboratory, and they made it all disappear.
I understand it from the marketing side, but to me it's a big corporation just taking advantage of mindless sheep that will buy Apple no matter how far behind they are, and those same people walk around with their nose up in the air like their shit doesn't stink and they truly believe they are the coolest kid on the block because of a logo on their outdated device. The idea of that business strategy actually makes me kind of pissed off that I recently bought an iPhone 13 pro max. Which I did just to change things up a bit because I've been an Android user for more than 10 years. My first smartphone was actually a Blackberry Storm(RIM device), which at that time it was no where near as good as the iPhone, but once Motorola started making Android phones, I quickly switched over to Android. From there I was back and forth between Samsung and Motorola for the longest time. I still remember how much I liked the Moto Droid phones, but eventually Samsung bought Motorola because they wanted all the patents Moto had, which was more than any other smartphone company in the world (I believe 🤔). Now Samsung has reduced the Motorola line to mediocre phones, so I've been using Samsung since probably 2014.
Don't get me wrong, I do like things about this iPhone, but I will most likely buy an S22 Ultra when it is released in the near future because it's basically a Note22, and even my Note 10+ has many features that this flagship iPhone I'm using still doesn't have. The only thing I really see better about the iPhones is their compatibility with my LG OLED C1 TV and other things that can be accessed by cell phones, even my Xbox and car are simpler to use with Apple devices, and I think their camera skin tone and dark photo quality is better as well.

Sometimes if I won't be able to charge my Galaxy for a while, I'll turn the screen setting to normal FHD+, but it does make a big difference in my opinion. Also, the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on the S21 Ultra is different from an optical fingerprint scanner found on a lot of cheaper phones; it is just as safe and secure as face ID because it is 3D instead of 2D.

That’s crazy given that the 6s is almost 7 years old. Meanwhile when we look at the galaxy s7 which was released a year later than the iphone 6s samsung already pulled the plug on its software support in just four years. I just changed to an iPhone 13 pro max after only using Android and RIM/Blackberry since smartphones were created. I only did so to try out a different OS and give myself a new challenge, because you are absolutely right, Samsung's devices and technology is beyond Apple's best. Unfortunately Apple does this on purpose so they can add those things to their next device and the Apple fan club buyers will trade in their $1300 phone for the next one because they are amazed it can now do something Samsung has been doing for 5 years. It's all a marketing scheme by Apple. The thing about that is they are assholes for knowing they have zombie followers and taking advantage of those mindless people's ignorance.
But one positive thing I will say about IOS, is that because it's pretty much standard and not made for 20 different brands of phones, like Android is, therefore it's much easier for 3rd party devices to be maximally compatible with it. For example : my car's infotainment system and my LG OLED C1 TV. Those both are much easier to control and access IOS systems than when I use my Samsung Note10+. I'd say this is pretty much the only reason I am now using an iPhone 13 pro max.

Fun Fact : I still have my 7 years old Note 3 Neo with me (working) and the S pen of that phone works fine with my S21 Ultra... It does almost the same job as the new S pen🙌🙌🙌

    • @darklord.r3tro
      @darklord.r3tro 3 года назад

@@etherity Well, both are really good phones. It's tough for even the most tech crazed people to pick one. If you are not in a rush then I'll suggest you wait 'til S22 Ultra's launch in January because there are rumours that they are improving their GPU game by alot and January is really close too. If there are not many improvements, then it will still a bit better than the S21 Ultra or if you don't like the S22 ultra then, at that time the S21 Ultra's price will be considerably low and you will get it at a bargain.
Also, I'll like to give some pointers as to why you should go for the S21 Ultra (or S22 Ultra) -
      1. Really easy to share files with friends quickly who have different devices. (quick share, nearby share, WiFi direct etc.)
      2. The OneUI is an amazing user interface and gives a really fluid experience. Probably the best UI in the market right now.
      3. You can customize the heck out of it unlike iPhone.
      4. The camera is breathtaking and gives you more control on the device. Also, you can take freaking moon shots😂😂😂😂 and they are really something that you HAVE to experience in person to feel it's effect😌
      5. You don't need to carry a separate cable for it as any Type-C cable will do the job.
      6. Cost of repairs and parts are really low in the S21 Ultra as compared to the iPhone. For example the back glass of the iPhone costs around $850-$900 i guess while in the S21 Ultra, It's around $80-$100, a new screen also costs around $300-$400 on the S21U while it's more than double in the iPhone even though they use the same screen and Apple hasn't made major changes to justify the extra charge.
But the iPhone has a upper hand in terms of performance but I think if the next year's chips are as good as they say then, Samsung might even close the gap in that area.
At the moment, I'm forgetting a couple more points but I really hope that it helped.

I switched to the S21 Ultra after being with Apple for years. Four months later, I'm going back to the iPhone. While I think the S21 Ultra is a good looking phone, I just find iOS to be a better operating system. I hate that on Android I have to basically use Google and Samsung. Apple definitely needs to revamp the look of iOS and give us more personalization options (one thing I really like about Android).

Apple has allowed some sort of customisation but Samsung kept on adding these gesture navigation and it makes me stay in the samsung brand. After owning S21 Ultra for almost a year now, let me tell you honestly!
    Pros:
Its zoom is amazing, useful, and awesome for real! It's not a gimmick, it's not something to look at just in reviews.
Display is awesome, speakers are awesome, even have some bass.
Battery is good, can last a full day with a lot of use, unless it's hot outside..
Performance is fine, or was until One UI4 arrived...
    Cons:
Very easy & fast to get warm, especially in warm days, and too hard to cool down. Graphite doesn't help at all! My Note10+ was much better in that regard.
One UI4/Android 12 fixed everything about looks, but ruined performance & animations. It now has more stutters, frame drops, and lag in normal use.
Still an android, with its Android issues, annoyances, and stuff.
Mine did get stuck in bootloop (twice!) in this month, 1st time cuz I changed my Samsung account email, and 2nd time after the latest update. Had to hard reset it!
I'm now finally looking forward to iPhone 14PM wishing I'll have a way better smartphone usage, never had an iPhone, I was a Samsung fan, but now I'm more frustrated than happy

For me comfort and less "now you don'ts" is more important than surviving couple days longer in pond and shiny frame.
