Hey Dorians.. im practicing one week now but it doesn't sound like it supposed to.. probably i shouldn be faster..but i think i do something wrong.. do you have any advice?
@@steliosmal8839 The tricky part is manly the dynamics of it. The corda need to be fast but subtle at the same time. When you became fluent with the song overall it will sound alot better
I’ve been learning Cornfield Chase after learning Day One and I’ve been desperately trying to figure out how it’s played so fast - and then realised there’s a special technique to it which you demonstrate beautifully. Very helpful display, I only play by ear, so thank you for showing the keys in detail on the piano. Beautiful work!
thank you very much, this is so surprisingly short, but fast and clear!!! you opened my eyes!!! thank you, I am self-taught on the piano for 3 years and I am very grateful to you
Very generous tutorial, Dorian. As an arranger myself, I'm here to congratulate you on your creativity. There are dozens of attempts at similar with this film adaptation, but yours (what I've heard so far) is as inventive as any of them. Cheers!
That's probably cause your piano has a different middle pedal function. In grand pianos the middle pedal sustains the note you are holding with your fingers (and not any other pressed after the pedal is down!)@@lucariemersma2494
Hey Dorian. I’ve commented a couple times on TikTok and RUclips before about when this one would come out. I’d proudly like to say that I managed to figure out how you did this almost exactly before you released this tutorial a few months ago, but thank you for arranging this beautiful version
bro just shared EXTREMELY Exclusive content... first i figured out the whole thing on my own but i thought the chords were simply fmaj gmaj, a min and gmaj. i didnt realise there were 7th chords... this was extremely helpful.
If it wasn’t for this video I probably never would’ve figured out the right technique to playing those rolling chords. I’ve had a lot of fun practicing this song, thank you so much for enabling me to experience the joy of playing it myself ❤️
Dorian, I still don’t understand the alternating pattern or rather rhythm of the E and F notes you used in your original recording and the approach you adopt here and in your other shorter tutorial you made before, as here you are telling us to play the E and F in right hand at the start of the piece I am referring to, in an alternating way that doesn’t match your original or make any musical sense either, it’s simply better to just play the E and F back and forth (omitting the second F each time with a rest or pause if you like) and not play the F twice like you’re showing us here, in your original you are playing each note once alternating, not this repeated F back down to E strangeness, which doesn’t make musical sense or technical sense in terms of pianism.
damn a neighbor once gave us a big wooden yamaha good quality piano cause she said she wont come back to our country but then she came back 1-2 months later but in the meantime i tried to play and i got the grasp on how to play 28 days later john murphy off the youtube it was so simple but i made alot of mistakes before i learnt how to play properly and there is when i started learning notes and she took it back f her maybe today i would be pianist but that cornfield chase is music from god man dorian you belong to the panthen of gods :D
This is an amazing tutorial but how do you transition so seamlessly between octaves with your left hand at 3:01? You go from your pinky to your thumb as if they were right next to each other. Did you just consistently practice the 3 chord blocks at 2:52? Is this sequence called a thumb to pinky dual octave arpeggio lol?
Hey Dorian.. im practicing one week now but it doesn't sound like it supposed to.. probably i shouldn be faster..but i think i do something wrong.. do you have any advice?
I want to learn this, but i struggle a little with the fast arpeggios. Does anyone have any exercises / general advice on how to be able to play those? I assume my wrist may be the problem, but idk
The overlapping of e and f notes do not work on a normal electric keyboard. Well atleast it doesn't work on mine cause my keyboard doesn't have traditional piano keys
But thats not the whole song. The version on spotify is way more extended and I'd really want to learn the whole thing but there is not the extact version even played live by him. And I'd need the piano sheet notes since i won't be able to get ot right with a tutorial like this. I have a feeling there is no sheets for this piece at all which is so unfortunate. I just absolutely love the song.
“And that’s it”
Omg..
I search for that version for months.
It nearly made me cry..
And now a tutorial that I'm able to follow: immense thank you!!!

your second chord is a G6 - notes g, b, d, and e are a G6. Great version of the piece and spot on tutorial!
E minor 7 over G 😉
Umm what’s the difference
@@thedivinepenguin3196 no difference in notes, just harmonic function
Incredibly filmed composition wise

Estoy de acuerdo, pienso que es tan bonito y me encanta tocarlo todos los días. Disculpeme para mi Español, soy Ingles

what is the left hand fingering for the arpeggio part where you start playing the main melody in octaves?

It's both. And it's okey. Stfu
What? Bro he's litteraly teaching everything
If your js bad say it
This is very much a tutorial. Nothing wrong with the course promo, like everyone musicians gotta eat too…
His tutorial here is the only reason I can play it. Never would have figured out the maneuver he utilizes to play the sweeping motion of the piece

Where can I find the sheet music??
Do you have the complete piano score of this performance version? Thank you very much
I can’t find it anywhere your best shot is by playing it by ear which I’m almost there
Wich model of piano is your instrument ?
Steinway
I'm going to learn it, but,
This little maneuver is going to cost us 51 years.
what about the end??
Can I have the sheet music please?
Yeeeeeeeeeeees
do you have a midi file by any chanse?
❤
Which pedal do you step on?
if you have three pedals, use the middle and the left
i need help with the run
Finally
But in the spotify version at the end it sounds different?????
Yeah just play the ending of the main theme while adding low f g and a octaves on the left hand
I have a synthetiser and I forgot how beautiful a real piano sounds, wish i'd have one but it's too big and expensive
I consider myself competent in piano, but this is definitely a challenge to play accurately 😢
I found it!!
