@@RossNixon His time was very respectable. I was more shocked when he went sub-6 minute pace on the first lap and was like "no f-ing way. can he really keep this up?". With a little more even pacing, he should be able to shave off considerable time.

exactly 67 sec 400m
well slightly fast considering its actually 1209 meters where the time was taken from. Its a 1609 meter race not a 1600. or in better terms a true mile race. so at 1200 he was probably like 3:20 haha

I know this is technically allowed now in Oregon, but this amount of people together breathing in essentially the same air while intensely working out def makes me anxious and worried about COVID transmission.
Yeah I thought so too! I live in Belgium and this would not be allowed (or you would have to wear masks)
This is frowned upon but 20k people protesting in the same area is supported? It was funny to see the cdc guidelines of “no more than 10 people in a group but 100 for protests”😂
That Guy the huge differences is almost every protestor is wearing a mask while all these runners aren’t. I understand it’s better to be outside but they’re all running around the same area and it just makes me very worried.

These kids are runners and obviously have strong respiratory systems, would probably recover from COVID with moderate symptoms, or even worse, be asymptomatic. I hope running with Nick was worth risking contracting the virus and spreading it to their families who may not be as healthy as they are. I can't imagine the guilt someone would feel watching their parents struggle to walk up the stairs from all of the scar tissue that developed in their lungs from COVID-19 :-) but thats none of my business. All love, just being realistic.

Every new video gets better. Cool race! Just watched after my super slow 3 miles on road. Down 12 pounds in 5 weeks. A long ways to go.
Nick, I love your content, but please understand that a lot of HS runners watch your channel and want to emulate you. Most states are requiring pretty strict start up guidelines for HS sports requiring masks and social distancing, and when they see this (from and Olympian and someone with a biochemistry degree) it makes coaches jobs that much harder. Even if you don't believe in the severity of the virus, please do better at setting an example for your subscribers.

Nick, love your channel, but come on man. This is so irresponsible! You’re shaking hands, encouraging people to drive cross country, and cramming everyone on the starting line. As a role model to thousands of children around the globe, wear. a. mask! Show them how to be a leader and lead by example. We are still in the middle of a global pandemic with no end in sight. I challenge you to think of creative ways to engage your fans while social distancing (i.e. encourage your fans to do a virtual 5k next week and screen shot their times). Please, please don’t be a part of the problem!
