I love that ride, especially since it's probably the best value (length) for the wait time. The ride just keeps going on and on even after the big drop.
Great video! I remember going on this back in 97, but it was the one in California... was a fun ride but the line was HUGE!!!! Would love to check the one out in Florida as well as the other parks there someday.
lemme just say this, after going Disney World 1-2 times a year (No I'm not rich, my grandparents somehow got a job there and gets tickets for us) it NEVER gets old. I've been on splash mountain 18 times and even on the 19th I go on it, I still feel like its the 1st I've ever been on it. if your ANYWHERE CLOSE to California or Florida, BEG your parents to go there. the lines might be long (ok, WILL be long) it's so worth it.
This is my family's favorite ride at Disney World, we ride it everytime we go (our last trip was in the middle of Dec, and we still rode it). Every year my mom would always say "We'll only buy a picture if we were in the 1st 2 rows (there were 4 of us) and every year without fail we wound up in the 1st 2 rows, so we have about 10-15 Splash mountain souvenier photos. My mom also used to sneak my sister on when she was too little to ride (they were "just goin to wlk thru to the exit",or not;).
Went there last summer (July 2011) and I already wish I could go back, I went to all Disney World Parks plus both Universal Parks...it was the adventure of a lifetime :')
i rode this when i was 9 yrs old and i'm 26 currently, it was nice to relive the experience just like how you did, the big drop was the scary part but it was really cool =)
I remember when I went to Disney my first time. my aunts told me we where going to the mall. so as we left and got there she told me to close my eyes vos she wanted me to be surprised. so me being young and all, I did. when I opened then u started balling my eyes out XD infrknt if me I saw "WELCOME TO DISNEYLAND!" My aunts yelled happy belated birthday and laughed as I cried happily. as soon as they gave me the phone to call my mom I started screaming "MOM! MOM IM AT FREAKING DISNEY! OMG MOM-" I started choking up so badly XD the people where so kind! My first ride was splashed mountain :) it was my favorite out of thunder mountain and space mountain! and I got thoes collectable dolls (Repunzal, who is currently in my self's) I told my teacher why I was gone and she noticed my tan XD she hugged me when I told her about Disney XD I was 9 ten. now im 12 and I'm waiting to go back for the second time ;)
i was on this at the same time as a huge group of Greek guys screaming OPA!!!!! after evey turn and drop... by far one of my favorite Disney memories of alll time :D
Going to Disney World for the first time in February! :D :D :D Eee! I can't wait. I've been to Disneyland so many times, and Tokyo Disneyland/Sea as well, but never to Disney World. Splash is awesome, but that horrible feeling of regret and straining when you're trying to smile at the big drop. Hahahah.
I had a fastpass for this and people had been queuing for about 2 hours and I got straight on the ride! The dirty looks I got, well I did wave at them as I went past!
Omg I REALLY WANT TO GO ON THIS SO BADLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might be going there next year! Lol over in Northern Ireland we don't have that much BIG rides like that bit we do have some cool ones :))
😂 my dad and I got stuck for 2 hours at the bottom of the hill with the laughing vultures. Now I can figure out when the best time to go based solely on timing 😂
This one has better animatronics faithful to the movie, the ones at DL that are not from AS are built from like 5 pneumatics and are very limited in movements, they should’ve left Floridas and only rethemed Californias
I watched this so many times and it never gets old lol. I reeeeaaally wanna go to Disney World cuz I've never been even though its a few states below me ;___;
The first time I went on this I ducked and shut my eyes on the drops. But I loved it and I keep my eyes open to get a good picture.but we never do,someone either has there hands up blocking my face or I look like I am crying but I'm not.SPLASH MOUNTIAN FOREVER
I looooooove Disney and I loooove this ride so much. We went this past summer and the ride broke on us right before the drop in front of Brier Fox and Brier Rabbit so the Disney people had to free us in the middle of the "Laughing Place." Disney also must be trying to conserve their water because the drop on this ride is now naked and they turned off some of the water so you don't get as wet as you used to.
@AshleyLaurenM have fun i went august 1 - 6 2011 when i was 12 ( im now 13 ) i was looking at the moving things then all of a sudden a huge dorp i was like OMG!!!!!! it was my first disney trip
I didn't ride it when I went in 2008 cause I chickened out. I went again in 2011 and rode it, I was in love! I rode it at least 5 times. We got stuck once which was around twilight time when they were switching everything over to how it looks at night. When I went on senior trip in 2012 my friend and I rode it another 5 times and she's terrified of things like this
i have to say that i love this video but i do wish i could go to disneyland but i don't have the time or money i love the ride though and i know where to get the CTR for RCT3
Went to Florida in 2010 I was only 10 at the time and this was the best ride in my opinion I loved it!! I was scared at first because of the big drop and I'm not a fan of heights but I loved it!!
I went on something exactly like this in Spain. My family and I went down a big drop and into a massive pool of water but there was nothing to strap you in and I was at the front so on the way down I had to lie on top of my sister so I wouldn't fall out.
Going to Disney World for the second time i do I remember 4 years ago going on that ride for the first, time scared me to death but now that I'm 13 I'm not so scared. :)
@webkinzcool56565 Yeah the ride stopped. Us and several other boats would end up just packed on the hill to go up the next lift (the lift stopped as well). We'd sit watching the same scene/hearing the same recordings for several minutes.
Nerdy Geeky Drawer, I know this may seem rude, so I apologize, it just bugged me beyond belief. If your spelling mates with an 8 it would be m8s. The 8 sounds like ate, so it takes those letters out of mate and replace it with 8. Also your trip sounded like fun, I've never gone to Disney or Universal.
I LOVE this ride adn im 14! It doesnt matter how old you are to enjoy things I mean come on I LOVE Disney! Probably the ONLY thing that bothers me or bums me out if the fact you can see the people in front and behind you and sometimes it doesnt feel like youre "in" the ride :/
I once came here in summer, we waited in line for like 10 minutes it stopped the ride because it was raining, soon after the ride started again then another 10 minutes later, the ride broke drown. When we walked to FantasyLand we saw that the ride started to shoot down, the person that was working there that explained the people that got stuck on the ride got out. HOW DID THEY GET OUT IF THE RIDE WAS MOVING?!
My cousin and I did splash mountain at night and when we got to the very top it was so pretty to see the castle all lite upand then we plummeted down it was so much fun
Best ride water ride ever IMO
I think we all can agree that the singing animals are the scariest part of the ride.
That little splash in the Pirates of the Carribean is still the scariest splash for me...
no rides scares me but this is one of the best rides at disney world and for me the best in magic kingdom.
Best water ride ever.
I love that ride, especially since it's probably the best value (length) for the wait time. The ride just keeps going on and on even after the big drop.
I got goose bumps watching it! I love this ride!
Great video! I remember going on this back in 97, but it was the one in California... was a fun ride but the line was HUGE!!!! Would love to check the one out in Florida as well as the other parks there someday.
RIP Splash Mountain. Gone, but not forgotten.
One of the best rides on a hot day.
I went in january, was too cold, but I enjoy it
Or in the middle of winter at night so you can ride it three times in a row ;)
Earl D (BusyWriting2) yeah! Not when it's cold. ❄️
lemme just say this, after going Disney World 1-2 times a year (No I'm not rich, my grandparents somehow got a job there and gets tickets for us) it NEVER gets old. I went on 5 times in a row and i always died after the big drop and to be honest, I dont get scared of roller coasters eastily
imadogesowoof Disney Makes Anything Possible ;)

I was scared- the Big Drop was like flying!
As a tall person myself it makes me so scared that I might fly out of the log and die
Same

“ ooo my camera got wet” well I mean-
Going in June!! I cannot go do Disneyland without going on this. One of my top favorites :)
One of my very favorite attractions!!!
This ride terrified me the whole time I was on it, I cried in the beginning. Until the big drop. Probably wouldn't go on it again though XD
kaylie ̊ · * ̊ haha same
Went there last summer (July 2011) and I already wish I could go back, I went to all Disney World Parks plus both Universal Parks...it was the adventure of a lifetime :')

This is one of my favorite rides! When i went last year in 2011 in the winter they closed it to fix it up! I was crying since it was closed!
This ride has more eye candy, and seems much more detailed than the one in Anaheim.
Omg I REALLY WANT TO GO ON THIS SO BADLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I might be going there next year! Lol over in Northern Ireland we don't have that much BIG rides like that bit we do have some cool ones :))
ahh im going in 2 weeks and im so excited as always :D thanks for posting and have a blessed year
7:27 Washout
I rode the pilgrims plunge at holiday world at 720 and it was cool with all the lights on
The camera man is fearless. On the biggest drop, he has the same reaction on the medium drop.
Steel
I'm goin Disneyworld in July! I cannot wait for this!!!!
I got stuck on this at night last November. Such a fun ride.
😂 my dad and I got stuck for 2 hours at the bottom of the hill with the laughing vultures. Now I can figure out when the best time to go based solely on timing 😂
I rode this on Halloween, it was sooooo cold out because of the hurricane up north. But in December it was awesome!!
Aww I miss this :') So excited to be going back next march for my 3rd trip to disney :)
Never understood why people said this version was inferior to the DL one. They're both just as amazing imo
This one has better animatronics faithful to the movie, the ones at DL that are not from AS are built from like 5 pneumatics and are very limited in movements, they should’ve left Floridas and only rethemed Californias
going in december. cant wait
. this is a long ass ride
I always ride Splash Mountain near park close time!! you can ride again and again~~
love this ride in only ten
Emily Lewin why does the fact that you're ten have anything to do with you loving the ride?
Norah Gilbert it doesn’t matter how old you are, anyone’s allowed to like this ride. I’m 17 and autistic, and I love Disney world
Going in may im so excited
do they not play "zip-a-dee-doo-da" anymore? that was my favorite part :/
They do, its at the end of the ride.
They don't play it constantly they have sequence
It's after the drop
Sup253 d-d-d-drop the bass!
Yes they still play zip e de do da
Yeah i do belived that the splash mountain and space mountain are the best rides (my opinion) :)
Andy San big thunder mountain and seven dwarves mine train!!!

Leaving monday in the morning! cant wait
That drop at the end 😁
Best water ride ever!
I remember getting on this for the first time. I was so scared of the fake hills LOL.
this ride is scarier than behemoth at canada's wonderland but i love it the picture was hilarious
On Christmas our parents told us with suit cases and there was a note in side that said your going to Disney world
The first time I went on this I ducked and shut my eyes on the drops. But I loved it and I keep my eyes open to get a good picture.but we never do,someone either has there hands up blocking my face or I look like I am crying but I'm not.SPLASH MOUNTIAN FOREVER

Honestly when I was going down the biggest one I cryed
MysterLittleDude my voice went high because of the pressure
I looooooove Disney and I loooove this ride so much. This ride still scares the crap out of me. I went on this when I was little, sitting next to my mom, I almost fell out because there were no lap bars
my fav ride in the summer time the big drop is the best
I love this ride. I knew I was going to get wet, but not soaked.
@AshleyLaurenM have fun i went august 1 - 6 2011 when i was 12 ( im now 13 ) i was looking at the moving things then all of a sudden a huge dorp i was like OMG!!!!!! it was my first disney trip
How did you hold on to the camera? That is great. I shot the last 45 secs. of Test Track... Holding onto the camera was a chore. LOL
I love this ride and space mountain and thunder mountain
I didn't ride it when I went in 2008 cause I chickened out. I went again in 2011 and rode it, I was in love! I rode it at least 5 times. i have to say that i love this video but i do wish i could go to disneyland but i don't have the time or money i love the ride though and i know where to get the CTR for RCT3

I wish I went on there! It was closed when I went this March! :(
When I was little went to Disney Land and those vultures scared the CRAP out of me!
I was thinking of going on this ride up until I got to the part in the video where the fall was straight down. Too straight down for me! XD
Going to Disney World for the second time i do I remember 4 years ago going on that ride for the first, time scared me to death but now that I'm 13 I'm not so scared. :)
@webkinzcool56565
Yeah the ride stopped. Us and several other boats would end up just packed on the hill to go up the next lift (the lift stopped as well). We'd sit watching the same scene/hearing the same recordings for several minutes.
best fricking ride... ever
I go to Disney every other weekend with my dad and this is always the first thing we do.
I feel like it's the best ride
In either 79 or 78 days I'm going to Disney for a week!
Molly Jo I got back today and I'm going again in two weeks with free fast pass tickets
I'm going in June!! I can hardly wait

The only ride that last 10 min and is really worth it.
There is a lap bar now though.
