caroline link I caught someone's hat when I went on splash mountain for the first time this year, I was having a panic attack bc I suck at drops, but that hat slapped sense into me xD
caroline link I have a similar experience my mum she had a hat and we went one the drop and the hat said “peace out” and the guy behind us caught it. Haha
Okay, I gotta share my Splash Mountain story here cause I think it's worth noting. :D I went a few months ago with my mom and best friend - the latter who had never EVER been to a Disney park before (and she's kinda a roller coaster junkie. XD) We did pretty much everything nearly possible in the Magic Kingdom that day, and it had been rainy. I didn't want my friend to miss Splash Mountain before we went home, so that night we went on it while Mom decided to take a break. My friend and I just tossed a raincoat over our laps so we wouldn't get wetter than we already were. As we go through the ride and the drops got bigger, I had to tell my friend like 2 or 3 times that "that wasn't the big drop", much to her surprise. Aaaaand I'm not exactly a fan of heights, to be honest. XD So the photo we found taken of us at the end was flippin' priceless. My friend is looking over the edge with the raincoat to her chin and a shocked/joyous look on her face, and all you can see of me is a tiny peek of brown hair poking over the edge of the raincoat all the way down in the seat. :D
Finally! Someone who shows Brer Frog in the queue area! ☺ See 2:22 ! Seen LOADS of videos on RUclips and everyone seems to be excluding him from their videos!
Summer of 2006 was my first and last time I went to Disney (damn expensive for larger families) u absolutely loved this ride!! It was my birthday week too when we went!! What a treat!!
Jared 7 I actually prefer it that way because the experience is a lot different and creepier at night due to the atmosphere it creates. The big drop in particular becomes more intense because you can barely see the tunnel in the center of the brier patch, so you could swear you're just going to crash and be seriously hurt!
I rode this several times last night at like 10:30 and there was no line and we got the whole boat to ourselves. I like it more at night because you can't really see the bottom of the drop so its scarier than usual!!
I like how i’ve not watch a single Disney/Ride related video, yet i say, _”Splash Mountain”_ 5-10 times today, and when I open up RUclips, it recommends me this
I hate to be rude, but this is just a suggestion. I think you should start the video once you get ON the ride because most people don't want to watch people waiting in line. The ride starts at 6:52 pretty much.
I loved this ride so much. It was my first big drop and I was so so scared, I even asked my dad to stop the ride, ahaha! But I did it and yes my stomach hurt on the way down but the satisfaction that you've done it, priceless!
wopps lol trying to reply and accidently hit the thunbs down button. Sorry for that but yes they let you take the cameras in the rides cause they want you to capture you moments or memories at the patk. After I got off one of the employyes quietely says thats going to go on RUclips and points at me and chuckles lol.
Thank you!!! Finally, someone commented on the use of language in Disney videos!!! It annoys me so much when people swear in their comments for videos that are probably viewed by children. Not to offend anyone or anything, I just would like to point this out.
Last time I went to Disney world, I avoided going on this ride because I didn't want to get wet! Now, I will definitely go n this ride! Thanks for sharing your experience, and I hope that was a waterproof camera!
ive heard the the jurrsasic prk one is 85t and splash mountain is 50 so im a bit skeptical PS: do you know any good noob coasters in the new england area i am looking for a good first coaster with inversions and i hate airtime thx :)
+Matti Shapiro (Speedyewok) unfortunate I haven't been there yet so I wouldn't know I'm sorry. You can look on RCDB.com and find coasters at your local parks and it will tel the specs and how many Inversions if any.
That was such a relaxing ride for me when I visited years ago with my children. We went through this 3 or 4 times at 6 pm when there was no line. I made note of all the details over and over.
The queue music is also in country/bluegrass style with many banjos, harmonicas, fiddles, and guitars because the ride is in Frontierland, whereas California Disneyland version, which is in Critter Country, sounds jazzy and feels like in New Orleans bayou.
Hays Coleman Yes with banjos/harmonicas soundtrack but some songs are reworded to Japanese. And TDL's Critter Country is also westernized with saloon and western colored canyons and I value the area resembles southern state of Texas, partially Palo Duro canyon of Amarillo due to western colored canyons and also the Rio Grande river for Rivers of America side, and also brings the feel in the state of New Mexico, for the mountainous terrains and the saloon themed refreshment, and Western River Railroad (that brings the feel that I am in Santa Fe) and banjo musics are flowing in the entire area. And some of TDL's Splash interior scenes are same as WDW's but they were rearranged but oddly before the Burrow's Lament scene, they also added the gopher saying FSU.
Hays Coleman Also, in Tokyo's Splash Mountain, the first splash drop takes place in the dark cave instead of Slippin' Falls and it makes the only outdoor splash drop is the final one.
Hays Coleman Also, TDL's Critter Country can resemble New Mexico for the Beaver Brother's Explorer Canoes ride where beavers are New Mexico's largest rodent, besides canyonous terrains and the saloon building themed cafe.
Uhh…Blaze Feather, is it true that "EVERY B-DAY" actually means "EVERY BITCH DAY?" Just wondering. Thanks for your feedback. (As I typed this I just KEPT asking myself, what kind of family tradition is this? Like…BITCH DAY. Hmmm…doesn't sound fun, doesn't sound happy, nor cool. WEIRD, I know. Okay, bye. Wait…do you guys just like…bitch around with people at Disneyland? Ouch. Mickey must always be a part of this.)
I’m sad cause I’m going in a few days but splash mountain is closed for the time I’m there ;-( and I go every 3 years so cya in high school splash mountain. Edit: so it’s me 1 year later and I MISS DISNEY SO MUCH OMG IM CRAVING IT!! I want to go so bad and I’m literally dying. 2 more years till splash mountain!
Yes there is due to you sit side by side instead of one per row but also they put them cause people were standing up and getting out of there logs and breaking props too.
First of all, thank you for taking the time to hold your camera in place in the front seat for the entire ride--what a GREAT video. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am subscribing to your site!
Man! That's a looooong ride! I haven't been to WDW in over 18 years but I'm definitely putting it on my soon-to-do list. Great video even after six years. Thanks for sharing!
How bad is the drop on this ride? My family's been bugging me to ride it since I haven't ridden it in 10 years. I hate drops like that cause I hate that free-fall feeling that you get in your stomach. I hate that same feeling! Buuuuut I went to WDW with my family almost 3 weeks ago and I rode it. I haven't rode it in almost 10 years. I was terrified when I first rode it, I guess my tolerance changed or something? I would try it out at least, you never know if you'll like it! And if you don't like it, you never have to ride it again! 😊
Well, I've ridden it before, but my family says that now since I'm a lot older and taller, it won't affect me as much but I have a hard time believing them. Is the ride worth it, should I just suck it up like my brother says it's his favorite ride in WDW and he really wants me to go on it. If I wanted to see the rest of the ride, would it be worth it to just suck it up for the drop?
I rode it when I was younger, my parents have the picture that they take at the drop bc I told them that I would never ride it again. That was true until 3 weeks ago when I met my niece for the first time and she was the only one in my party who wanted to ride it. I was sort of suckered into doing it. I am now proud to say that after 10 years it is definitely my favorite ride! The inside is super pretty, too. That's how my dad got me to go on it 10 years ago. He kept saying that the colors were vibrant and the animals were cute (when my family and I would go to WDW he would be the only one who rode it bc he loved it.) It's a quick drop and it isn't all that steep, either. I'd go for it! Like I said before, if you don't like it, you never have to do it again. Your body does grow and develop and your tolerances change. I hated it when I was younger, now every time that I go, that's the first ride I'll ride :)
+tgguitarguy I was traumatized for over a decade as well, and I forced myself to ride it because a friend who came from Japan was there. I was too busy freaking out to feel the drop, really, since it's so short. Somewhere in the back of my mind I did feel a slight drop of my stomach. Not that bad though.
Man, last time I've been the Disney was in 2008 when my family was together and loved each other. Every year we'd go down to Florida as a family and it was the best. Now shit has fallen apart and watching this brings back memories so much that I want to cry. It would be hard for me to go back considering the load of emotions I'd feel.
Now that would be a site to see lol. Would be fun to do except you would get stuck at the bart where you drop inside the mountain. you would have to make it like designed for intertunes like the water coasters they have at Typhoon Lagoon.
Want me to explain what it is? So a teen goes on splash mountain during nighttime and everything goes wrong, so his family goes on splash mountain during nighttime and he sees the family went without him, so he hops on a boat by himself, he entered the cave, the birds looked scary, but he ignored it, so the part where the fox got the rabbit, the rabbit was dead, so the he is about to go down the hill, but he goes backwards, and sees a shadow behide him, he tries to escape but the floor has spikes, so he can't escape, he falls down the hill, and the ending says something like R.I.P bare rabbit. Then he feels something rock the boat, but he saw a exit and ran out the exit, but then the family said they didn't go on the ride, so then he said he had therapy idek. I forgot some details, sorry! This is not a true story! Its a made up creepypasta btw!
When I was at Disney world and I went on that ride, it took our picture at the huge drop, and I decided to dab, so in our picture I was dabbing lol!😂😂😂😂
TyTy Lee oof I got stuck at the end for like 5 minutes and I got its a small world stuck in my head for like, 2 months! It was a nightmare! I had no choice to not go on it.
I mean.... Do you have to record the ENTIRE thing while you are walking and waiting in line. Really save everyone time and just record ride start to finish. We don't need to see the line happenings. Thank you!
some people like the line quene parts, such as myself. It adds to the complete experience feeling. Now he could post at what time of the video the ride starts in the description, but speak for yourself, I like the line parts
on some rides, especially ones that have a pre-show, the queue line tells a bit of the ride's story, so if you don't watch the pre-show or the queue line, you might not understand the story on the actual ride.
It's almost been a year since I could've ridden this but didnt. We got there to use our fast passes, and as soon as we scan our bands the entire ride shuts down. thIS IS MY FAVORITE RIDE AND I WAS UPSET.
Omg I love mlp, watership down, and Looney tunes. I mean childish in the case of no super fun drops like the one in 6 flags America, the 6 flags America one gets you soaking wet, like you jumped in the pool with your clothes on.
Carina Johnson its not about just the drop, its about the atmosphere. :) The Journy. Its relaxing and fun, and it DOES get you very wet. Dunno about you :)
Never too old to enjoy Disney
Ah Disney, they characters are fake but the fun is real. What could go wrong?
Blaze Feather Actually they are real ( i am a disney freak bruh just roll )
Ryan Sadler I won't judge you
I don't like Disney.
Liam Crow YOU HAVE NO SOUL
You have my respect. Thank you so much for cleaning the lenses when water got on it. Some coaster reviewers don't do it. Thank you
TheyMightBeBricks ii
TheyMightBeBricks ur right it is soooooo annoying when they don’t clean the lense
Ikr
You mean you don’t like it when there’s an annoying splotch of water in the middle for the entire video?
You know, my dad went on this ride with a hat on. He went down the drop. He came back without a hat. We never saw that hat again. R.I.P My dad's hat.
caroline link rip hat. We need to fulfill this hat’s legacy.
caroline link I caught someone's hat when I went on splash mountain for the first time this year, I was having a panic attack bc I suck at drops, but that hat slapped sense into me xD
caroline link I have a similar experience my mum she had a hat and we went one the drop and the hat said “peace out” and the guy behind us caught it.
Haha
Chara346 Meep wait was there a family in front of u?
Same thing happened 2,my dad...
Being in the fast line is so enjoyable.
Flench true
Agreed I had 9 passes a day for each park because they messed up my room
fast passes are awesome. its sad that you only get 3 of them xD
Lightning Flow most rides wouldn’t have available fast passes as much of the big rides don’t anyways
I know right
ride starts at 6:52
Thanks that was helpful

PixarShark XD
I'm going with my mom and best friend in a couple of weeks too. And my friend is also a roller coaster junkie.
Ride starts at 6:45
Thank me later 😊
**No one thanks you**
No kidding very boring watching.a bunch of people.hanging around...oh look some guy wearing a lovely blue t-shirt.
Finally! Someone who shows Brer Frog in the queue area! ☺ See 2:22 ! Seen LOADS of videos on RUclips and everyone seems to be excluding him from their videos!
The drop is short but it feels like a long and hard drop. I can feel it all the way through to my nuts.
I read this with a wise wizard voice for some reason
TiMeSpLiT- -TeR true
TiMeSpLiT- -TeR ik youtube makes it look 10 feet tall but when i'm on it feels like 40 feet straingt down
Daddy Alabama same with all roller coasters on RUclips
dehderpyunicorn 52 feet exactly
I was forced to go on this ride. This ride was so terrifying that I died. And now I'm a ghost.
A ghost now living in the haunted mansion?
Seaweed Coffeetv Do you live in the Haunted Mansion now?
Alexis Noel Luigi's Mansion perhaps?
+SeaweedCoffee tv same
U are scared of this ride try riding a 464 foot tall roller coaster as a 11 year old ps that was the scariest thing ever
3:23 this queue spiel is new! Never heard this before
That moment when the little puppets end and all u see at the end of the darkness is the light meaning your death
and then you speed down the cavern to hell
the asthetics of this ride is just amazing
Omg I'm in this video😂 I'm the girl at 1:23 in the purple tanktop with the sling purse
1:53 sorry not 23

Summer of 2006 was my first and last time I went to Disney (damn expensive for larger families) u absolutely loved this ride!! It was my birthday week too when we went!! What a treat!!
Note to self...
Ride this at night at the end of the day.
Not as you're first ride because the line has 10 ppl
Jared 7 I actually prefer it that way because the experience is a lot different and creepier at night due to the atmosphere it creates. The big drop in particular becomes more intense because you can barely see the tunnel in the center of the brier patch, so you could swear you're just going to crash and be seriously hurt!
GO ON WORKING DAYS
I rode this several times last night at like 10:30 and there was no line and we got the whole boat to ourselves. I like it more at night because you can't really see the bottom of the drop so its scarier than usual!!
Plus when you get to the top of the drop, you can see fireworks and it's a pretty moment before you fall!
Don't ride this at night, you'll be soaked and there's no sun to dry you lol
I did this on my birthday Disneyland or disneyworld can’t remember this one but my eyes were open on the drop so much fun
It's been 2 years since I rode on this and yet it still feels different than the one in CA. Plus this has more seats and better safety
It is different, just some scenes that differ
Yeah the one at Disney land doesn’t have freakin handle bars or seat belts witch is sketchy as heck !
Joshua Orro i
Orange, sketchy? ALL log rides are like the one at Disneyland. NORMAL!
Joshua Orro is a great

If I can handle this can I handle Jurassic park river adventure?

I went on this last summer. It was so much fun!
I payed more attention to the story line than anything else. Idk why

if you came for the drop, it starts at 14:18
Man, last time I've been the Disney was in 2008 when my family was together and loved each other. Every year we'd go down to Florida as a family and it was the best. Now shit has fallen apart and watching this brings back memories so much that I want to cry. It would be hard for me to go back considering the load of emotions I'd feel.
I like ripsaw falls at universal better, the last drop is intense
but the design of this one is prettier, to me anyway.
V A P O R W A V E i dont like it i almost got a heart attack from the drop
D B Z S T A T I C W A V E There’s no such thing. Ripsaw falls is in Islands of Adventure not universal
The best Flume at Universal Orlando is definitely Jurassic Park ride
Islands of adventure is a theme park in Universal.^^
This is my favorite water ride ever!
did they say fuck 10:51
OMG I HEARD THAT TOO LOL
Yes I heard it i was laughing so hard
Lol that did sound like that but I think instead of fuck it meant to say fox still funny though.
No, They said Mr. Brer Fox.
k good thank god i was legit crying i thought they said fuck
Love this ride so much. I don't even mind waiting in line because there's so much cool scenery lol.
What does WDW stand for?
Walt Disney World
OK, thanks.
t man sni
+dingdongditch1000 walt disney world.
Rolfadinho OTG walt disney world DX
This is my son and I's favorite ride at Disneyworld. It's a must for us lol.
I wish the one in Paris had a splash mountain:(😭
Now that would be a site to see lol. Would be fun to do except you would get stuck at the bart where you drop inside the mountain. you would have to make it like designed for intertunes like the water coasters they have at Typhoon Lagoon.
I ride a water ride like this the drop was higher and there is no bar
+darmi ogi Unfortunately, there used to be no bar, but it was added for safety precautions (people standing and reaching to the props and stuff..)
+Sparkly Girl I love your username
Really? Then go to rye playland NYC!
darmi ogi google.com
I just love this attraction! Even the getting wet part! I just can't get over, that no one in your "log" was screaming! LOL!
Who's watching in 2015
I had never got into a ride before and I was forced into it screaming, but it was awesome. My face in the pic you get after the ride was hilarious 😂
I'm here from the splash mountain creepypasta
BY MR.NIGHTMARE? YASSSS
Now ever seeing that video my childhood memories have been completely ruined
Chandler Honea what is the splash mountian creepypasta, ik what a creepypasta is but what is the tale
I remember going to Disney and seeing the sparkling castle shine in the moonlight! So cool! And then SPLASH!
they dont check to see if the bar is completely secure? scary... this makes me not want to go
kima o They used to not have a bar at all. It was only added within the last 5ish years or so lol
kima o I always double check on my own :-)
omg... well i guess it's like the log flumes but this is different somehow... scary!
kima jay Don't worry there have been no deaths or fatalities in Splash Mountain.
ohh okay
When I was at Disney world and I went on that ride, it took our picture at the huge drop, and I decided to dab, so in our picture I was dabbing lol!😂😂😂😂
am i the only one who's creeped about this?
Katsumi Watanabe You think THIS is creepy? You haven't seen it at nighttime!
U haven't seen it's a small world
+Awkward QT its scarier then this
You're not alone buddie, you're not alone!
TyTy Lee oof I got stuck at the end for like 5 minutes and I got its a small world stuck in my head for like, 2 months! It was a nightmare! I had no choice to not go on it.
I rode this the other day, don't even like rides like this but loved all the twists and surprises and of course the 50 foot drop at the end...ahhhh
Disneyland doesn't even have a security bar you'll be fine...
The only way to fall off is if you purposely push yourself off. Unless if you want to die, you'll be fine.
this was my favorite ride at Disney world!!!!!!!! it was the best and space mountain was the best I would recommend this ride.
There is a thing called the skip button, where you can literally skip scenes you don't want to see! xD
ANDREA DANIEL some people like to see the queues and where u have to go. They were being considerate
That is just rude of you don't want to see the line just skip it's why there is a skip button
I went on this ride last year on Disney and it was awesome! There was many teasers drops !! I'm also going this year too!
jeez..its boring....
+
Try anything it will never be good for adrenaline.
geert goethals its a family ride, not everyone likes crazy rollercoasters, you know.
It's almost been a year since I could've ridden this but didnt. We got there to use our fast passes, and as soon as we scan our bands the entire ride shuts down. thIS IS MY FAVORITE RIDE AND I WAS UPSET.
The ride is kinda lame, a knockoff. And it's very childish.
Dunno about you :)
that's kind of the point,it's supposed to be a kids ride
Not everyone wants a gentle ride. I only did it beacuse I thought by the screams that it was an Adrienne ride. (Sorry about bad grammar)
Why does it say "all ages"
