- There are three of these Hopkins log flume attractions at Disney parks - one at Disneyland in California, another at Tokyo Disneyland, and this one in Florida. All are very similar with slight variations and many people consider them to be not just the best log flumes, but the very best water rides ever built. Can you blame them?
Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom is located near Orlando in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

Things you need to know about it in real life:
1. The whole ride itself feels shorter
2. The drop is way bigger than it seems
3. It is not as dark as it looks on camera
4. The drops that are before the big one aren’t that bad people are getting so mad over it but they add to the ride
cfran true
from my personal experience as a non-coaster enthusiast, this is right on the edge of what my limitations were. I hate rollercoasters, but i loved splash mountain.
5: The water is entirely made of Dasani. Have a drink.
True
I wen t on that ride and they had camera there was a big drop and took a picture of us .
Anyone else just get that feeling in their gut as they wait in the line. I'm pretty sure it's called "absolute terror"
Wow it's been two years?? How's everyone doing!
kevin haha! Yes😅
@@annaclaireprocter6427 I thought about getting off the ride about 3 times
Yes.. at every thrill ride. I feel sick to my stomach
Look up Tidal Wave Thorpe Park, your biggest regret in your life
Only for the rip-ride-rockit at universal
disney will never be beaten when it comes to theming their rides.
Some European parks say otherwise.
I think the proper wording is Disney were the pioneers of theme d attractions. Lots of parks can give them a run for their money but at the end of the day their rides are the most popular and most loved.
William Murnan imma disagree with that one good sir.
Luke Starkiller Come on, Ripsaw Falls doesn’t even compare to Splash Mountain, and I love Universal...
@Luke Starkiller or jurassic park river adventure
I love how at 7:57 you have perfect view of the castle 🏰 reminding you that you are at the magical place. Imagineering at its best.
yesss! one time i was on it while the fireworks were going off and it was such a great view!!!!
jules4903 That’s the perfect time to go
No you don’t
Its like Dudly Do Rights RipSaw Falls, at the drop you have a perfect view of the Hogwarts Castle.
TPF_ shadowman right?!! the view was incredible up there 😍
In my experience, anticipation of the drop is far worse than the actual drop. Great ride.
The only time I feel the anxiousness in my stomach is when you're on Expedition Everest stopped at the top and about to go backwards for a bit! Uggh!
And watching others hit the drop before you get to it and hearing their screams.
Agreed. It's often the anticipation that keeps me off rides. Glad i went on this though
Same for me. Unless it's a launch, I don't like the anticipation at all
@@j.d.9648 Omg I went on that ride recently. It scarred me for days
Watching this bc the Coronavirus stopped me from going to Disney for my birthday 😔😢
CIERRA Williams oh sorry, Happy Birthday 🎂🎉🎁🎊🎈
Maybe you come once this all settles down and things back normal.
Oof
aw im sorry i hope u get to go! im supposed to go in june & i hope it doesnt get ruined :(
Same!!!!
I remember me and my friend looking at each other when we realized there were no seatbelts lol
slurp juice 🤣🤣🤣😅
I thought I would die because there were no seat belts
I could've sworn there were lap bars, I rode this 8 years ago lmao
Me and my sister tried doing a pose on splash mountain and I almost fell out so now everytime I look back at the picture I just see me screaming and holding on to that Handel bar lol
JustaLovelyFangirl they added the lap bars after 2008. I used to work there in 2008 and there were no lap bars. I think they may have done a major renovation on it in like 2012.
Who's watching this during covid-19?
I am sense my trip to Disney was canceled from the rona
GucciGachaGamer 0o0 i went the week before it closed
Me:(
Kim Prentice yes and I’m still hoping they will open back up and everything will be back to normal by June but I’m just not sure if things will, sadly!
Collin Pike They probably won’t because it’ll be too soon for crowds, which is such a shame because I’d love to try and get down there during the Summer. I hope things are able to open up by the end of the year at least.
7:45
Uh-oh!
Don't tell me: We're about to go over a huge water drop.

When you’ve never been to Disneyland so you just keep watching ride povs
This is disneyworlds magic kingdom, disneyland is the original and is very different.
J Stanley not too different. I’ve gone to Disneyland couple times and it looks pretty similar
so relatable your not the only one 😭
I've never been and never wanted to go. I just don't like big crowds and long lines and paying so much for it.
@@omarreyes2219 disneyland is only one big place that looks like magic kingdom. Disney World has other parks such as Animal kingdom, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood. Big difference.
Wow quite relaxing until it just throws you down the waterfall
For those who don’t know:
1. The ride is definitely long but worth the wait.
2. The drop feels freaking huge don’t underestimate it.
3. Front row is really the only row you get wet in.
4. The scent of the water will leave you great memories don’t ask idk how to explain but overall just a great feeling.
***i live in Florida and I’ve been to Disney multiple times, especially considering I operate the ride every Thursday and Monday 😕 I’m sure I know the ride pretty well
The drop feels incredibly small. It looked so big from outside, but felt like nothing when actually going down it.
pretaining the drop isnt big
The ride is long or the wait for the ride is long?
pretaining don’t ask why but I can smell the water through the screen.
Lesbo Joker facts, the drop isn’t even that big. Also for people asking, the ride has a duration of 10 minutes

was it broken???
How
I remember riding this ride at night, and literally at the drop, the grand finale for the fireworks began, and that was the ONLY time I had my eyes open during that drop. I will never forget it. That night was magical.
me and my family have learned if you ride it during the fireworks there is no line so you can ride it over and over again and watch part of the fireworks! Best feeling going down that drop during the fireworks 😌🥰
@@alexis-zc9dv I don't like drops but most other outdoor rides are best during the fireworks for that same reason of having short lines and good views

The harmonicas and banjos are what make frontier land so beautiful and magical😍
Indian Child Yes the OSTs are using banjos and harmonicas to bring the Western feel and also, the Chick-a-Pin-Hill is also colored like Arizona canyons to make perfect blend with Frontierland.
Indian Child Tokyo Disneyland's Splash Mountain also has Western charactetistics and share same instrumental with this WDW's where Tokyo's Critter Country is a sub-set of that park's Westernland (Frontierland equivalent) where it is themed to Texas/New Mexico instead of Louisiana/New Orleans bayous like in Anaheim Disneyland.
i dont remember the ride being that long

Same, cause when your having fun, time flies!
It has a durration of 10 minutes suprisingly, went on it yesterday 3 times

Splash Mountain is a little bit longer at Magic Kingdom than it is at Disneyland. They also renovated it a year or two ago.
It's so crazy that I'm watching this at 27 years old and I'm still blown away. I've been on Splash Moubtain a million times, but never as an adult. The art is truly incredible, i wish i could have appreciated it as much as I do now. Some of the best memories od my life are at Disneyland (i did go to Magic Kingdom once when i was 12).
7:51 why does it sound like a minion being scared

Thanks for pointing this out! 😂😂😂
This ride holds a special place in my heart. Do not relate it to the movie, think of it as it's own unique ride

I love the movie.
I don’t see anything racist about this ride 🤷🏼♀️ It’s a ride smh people really trying to do the most
Ikr, it’s a shame people want to demolish splashMountain, hopefully Disney does not go through with it
Welcome to a world where anything that has anything to do with racism is considered “racist”

Canidaez Roblox I got back like 3 weeks ago? Idk
It's been just 2 weeks and videos like this of people actually doing things together outside already feel like they're from some distant past or another world.
Is Florida's version the best? I think so. You gain something from the southern dialect that's lacking in Tokyo, and the Cali version isn't as elaborate. Also the florida southern setting makes this feel right at home.
I would say the Florida splash mountain is better than Calli. But Calli has a better pirates of the Caribbean. Good trade off
@@thefalsekingslayer3717 I also really liked the French Pirates with the creepy lifthill and the extra scene with the swinging pirates and fighting cats.

Meh, I think flight of passage or rocking roller coaster. Honarable mentions for me would be the mountains, tower of terror, toy story mania, and test track. Although in terms of theming, this is one, if not, the best theme of a ride
ellianazoe Flight of Passage beats all
Chase The pup YOU ARE WAYY OFF AVATAR FLIGHT OF PASSAGE IS 100% better than this
And just like that..... the legendary Splash Mountain is in the history books at Disneyworld.
They only took down Splash Mountain (and re-themed it to The Princess and the Frog) because of political correctness and to appeal to black people. There’s no way I’m wrong…

This makes me miss Disneyland so much. I usually go on spring break as a family tradition since my dad was a little kid, but we couldn’t this year because of Covid19. This makes me sad that we had to miss our favorite family bonding place
My family never wanted to ride this because they didn’t want to be wet so now I finally get to see what it looks like
What
You get pretty soaked but it’s awesome!
You could always do single rider
Fluffy Hamster he’s probably a child still. Single rider lines only work if you go alone, not with any parents or siblings.
Your family should have wore some water resistant clothes or a poncho for the splash mountain ride. There are some people wearing ponchos in splash mountain at Disneyland. I brought my niece to Disneyland 2 years ago. She chickened out on splash mountain and she worst part was she was being a spoiled brat. She was complaining about the weather being too hot back in June and she said she liked the weather in Ohio better becauseits colder. My niece has the wrong misconception that you need to bring extra clothes when you go on water rides. You dont need to bring extra clothes for splash mountain when you can wear water resistant clothes or a poncho. Anyone who refuses to ride on splash mountain is just wasting their time and not getting the most out of their experience. Anyone who chickens out on splash mountain need to quit going to amusement parks for good.
this ride is the biggest acid trip you will ever be on without actually doing drugs. i still love it though 😂
Easily one of the best rides at Magic Kingdom. The length of the ride really does mega build up the anticipation for that final drop! It's really not so bad though, it looks way worse than it is. Also didn't get particularly wet which was good.

Wait lines don’t matter, sure people go for rides and stuff. There is a lot of other things you can do. But not to worry, there are people like this who post the rides for others enjoyment.
@@lilianasanchez4540 I know for facts even in the middle of summer , as long as a attraction didn't just come out (this is Disney land I'm talking about to clarify) lines aren't even that bad , because even if you have to wait awhile you can still knock everything out in a day

there was nothing racist about this ride. another great thing ruined by cancel culture. seriously they shouldn't have bent the knee this time, if you find this ride racist you've obviously not watched this video. was this ride based off of a racist movie? yes. is this ride racist? No. they only chose the ip to be able to reuse the animatatronics they already had. absolutely nowhere in this ride is a lick of racism. at the end of the day, this was a bre'r rabbit ride, not a song of the south ride. brer rabbit was part of folklore a long time ago. but i will say the concept art for the ride that is on the Disneyland today twitter does look beautiful. i just hope they don't pull a Jurassic world the ride and cover up the best parts with screens.
The ride's issue is that it uses Song of the South's animated sequences as a middleman for adapting the folk tales the movie (and in turn the ride) was based on. Despite largely sanitizing the issues that made Song of the South problematic, it's pretty difficult to separate the film from the ride once you know about the film.
Trisaltly I 100% agree
My family went to Disney a long time ago... I wish I didn’t have anxiety. It stopped me from having any fun. I went on hardly any of the thriller rides, the rest of my family had so much fun. Even if we went back I don’t think I could go on any of these and enjoy myself.
