Ok here is a story from a while ago In my childhood: Back when I was, maybe 5 or 6, I went to Disneyworld for my first time. Even though I was too short to ride the Tower of Terror, I was insanely fascinated with it and I read all about it and looked it up etc. Anyway, I returned a year or two later and was psyched as I was tall enough. The entire wait I annoyed everyone by saying all the stuff I read and learned to show off. When the ride started, I got this feeling of excitement and horror and I was pumped. After all of the setup when the elevator actually fell, I screamed like a baby and cried as I closed my eyes. I later found out that I hate the dropping rides, and I have never rode the Tower of Terror again. If you read this to the end, you da real MVP.

You can't see it very well here, but the queue area is filled with lots of little in-jokes for those who know their Twilight Zone lore well. Like the lobby card announcing the performance of "Anthony Fremont And His Orchestra." It's a GOOD thing Anthony's conducting that orchestra. It's a REAL GOOD THING!
No it's not a good thing. The orchestra members have to think happy thoughts and say happy things because, once displeased, Anthony can wish them into a cornfield or change them into a grotesque, walking horror.

Have some manors and condiseration for others and leave your screaming for when youre actually on the ride.
Couldn't of said it better. My 2013 trip to Disney, the same thing occurred. There were school groups with about 200 people in each group, & they were very disrespectful throughout the queue of ToT. It bugged me so much!
For many like you described, there is a component of alcohol abuse. I went to A Frozen Sing-A-Long in January and nearly lost the hearing in my right hear from 5 women, all drunk, all screaming at 120 decibels. Their purpose was to attract attention.
I know it's an amusement park and all but I wish the guys would have been quiet for the intro video especially if there were people who have never rode before and would like to hear the introduction but can't because they wouldn't shut up. Having fun or not it's called common curtesy.

The back story is pretty terrifying. Especially your first time on it. I rode it for the first time a few months back and I thought it was going to drop way before it actually did.
Me and my friend went on this ride for the first time ever in 2014. We loved the way it looked like a realistic creepy hotel on the inside and how the people looked like real hotel employees. The closer and closer we got to those elevators, we looked at each other like, "Ok, what have we done? This is a bad idea." But we went through with it. Man, oh, man. When the drops happened, I kept my eyes closed and kept my body leaned over to the side because my body felt extremely lightweight! It was so much fun, though. Me and my friend got off the ride with our hands shaking, our nerves were so shook. Then when they told us it's a different drop every time you ride, that made it worse! This is one of my favorite rides, though. So much fun!
I didn't want to go on this because I hate drops, but I got forced to go onto this by my mom and my friends. On the picture from the ride, I was basically cry/screaming and of course they bought the picture. They still laugh about it and bring the picture up in conversation to this day. This was 3 years ago :/

If you sit in the front row, that is so intense, the waiting for it to drop is what scared the bejesus out of me.. I screamed so loud so bet when that window opened people on the damn Toy Story ride could've heard me.. ahhhh!!!!
Just all of the cheering and yelling going on...what the hell are they screaming about?? The ride hasn't even started yet...Obnoxious background chatter. Can't wait to get to Disney World! I'm counting down: 20 days
Amazing!!! Never gets old. Even as a Freshman in College I still love Disney. Tower of Terror was the first ride we got on! Only had two problems really: 1. The fastpass+ system has a lot of issues and problems with it that need fixing BADLY. This new system is definitely a huge downgrade from the original fastpass system (I did like the MagicBands and the idea behind them) 2. Splash Mountain was closed for refurbishments!! D: one of my favorite rides :( Other than that. it was fantastic. Stayed at the Boardwalk for a whole week, went to all the parks, saw Tangled for the very first time, got to see the new Magic Kingdom Parade, saw Cirque Du Soleil's La Nouba for the fourth time, and got to see the greatest fireworks show in all of WDW (Illuminations!). Spent the last evening with my bro walking around world showcase lagoon at closing time..amazing. I love Disney World so much and cant wait to go back again!
from what I've noticed a lot of foreign groups that come to WDW (mostly from brazil and mexico) make ALOT of noise. they typically cheer and yell in line, in the pre-shows, and of course on the ride itself. its annoying but hey, you're at disney, might as well cheer about it!
We rode TOT about 6 times when we were at Disney last week. The last time, a family from Mexico got on with us and they would NOT STOP TALKING. I couldn't even hear Rod Serling in the elevator because they were talking so loud. I can understand if people talk on a ride, but there were six people in this family and they were talking at full volume.
i believe it. last summer we took a family vacation for 10 days starting in may and ending in june. the first half of the trip was great, but once the schools got out and all these foreign trips started to pile in, it got worse. it was terrible. we are taking a mid may trip this year. hopefully we can avoid these people. it is obnoxious and rude.
You can go through the whole thing and at the very top there is a place to leave that takes you out. My mom went through the whole thing just to see the attractions but was too scared to do the ride.
I went on this at Disney's California Adventures and it had the best cast member ever! When we got all buckled up he said "I'm sorry folks but this elevator broke down, luckily we can move to another in a few minutes. So I want you all to double check your seat belts." Then after everyone checked their seat belts, he had this evil grin on his face as he closed the doors. It was the most epic thing ever. Also when we got off he said "I hope you had an elevating experience" and then had his evil grin again. Gotta love Disney for people like that.
On my ride, there was a little girl dressed as a Disney princess and the cast member said, "Okay folks, we have a princess here but please no flash photography or autographs."
Especially when you're claustrophobic. One of the times that I went with my family, we got on the elevator, buckled ourselves in and the doors were about to be shut by the cast member. When all of a sudden, my mom became so anxious about being in the closed elevator that she desperately and panic-strickenly wanted to get off and even asked the ride operator if she could. The operator, very wryly and menacingly told her, with a slight smirk, "Too late," and shut the door. Those cast members get so into character on that ride.

+Max Kool I know what you mean. Every time we get front row on Pirates, we get obnoxious people behind us. There was these college kids who talked the entire time. Then we had these two girls who were in their own world talking about inappropriate things. At the end of the ride, I tried to get a selfie with my sisters as we waited to get off the ride. (I was new to the selfies and had to have my sister show me how to work the camera on my phone). The girls noticed and kept photo bombing. All I needed was one photo, but they kept ruining the pictures. My sister turned around and said sternly, "Please don't do that." I wish she did that earlier because that got them to stop talking.
Sadly a LOT of rides gets those... My brother had a pissy morning because of one incident where a woman on the Pirates ride would NOT stop talking and taking photos with the flash on. We actually got stopped due to it, and she sat on her phone to hide the fact it was her... And then did it again as we continued... Crappy tourists... Gets annoying SUPER quickly

In Japan it's a completely different story. There is this Tiki thing that Mr. Hightower, an adventurer, brought back to his hotel as a memory of going to this place. Hightower rode his elevator up with the Tiki and the Tiki contains a bad spirit in it so the Tiki made the elevator bam into the ground floor. When people checked it out no one could find Hightower's body. The only thing remaining is the Tiki. And whoever is riding is the next victims.
I went to Disney with my brother, sister, and parents, and my mom waited by the exit for us while the rest of us went. I only went because my big sister was going and I thought everything she did was cool. We were close to the front and I was getting scared. I told fam I wanted to go back but my big brother was like lol no. so I was clutching my sisters arm for life at the beginning. as we were dropping, I hugged my sisters arm and made no sounds. my eyes were wide open and I was terrified. my sister told me to scream and I let out the most high pitched scream ever, I think I was like 7. to this day, I'm terrified of any rollercoasters.
I was laughing the entire time It wasn't even that bad and I'm terrified of heights and rode every ride in Epcot The Magic Kingdom Hollywood Studios and Universal Studios couldn't make it to Animal Kingdom had no time to look at the abandoned parks River Country and Discovery Island
I've loved roller coasters from the age of 5 and tower of terror is my favourite ride at disney :) If you keep going on roller coasters you could over come your fear
so apparently this ride has a ten year waiting list to transfer over here from various countries, because its the one station where you aren't required to smile.
I have a pretty funny story from when I went on this ride for the first time last month. I took a plastic bag on the ride with me with a few things I'd bought in it. I had the bag at my feet for the duration if the ride...or so I thought. When the ride had finished and was unloading, I noticed my bag had vanished. I panicked and asked my dad where it had gone, thinking that it had flown out of the ride somehow, when a guy over the other side of the elevator called out, "whose bag is this?" I looked and it was my bag. On the other side of the elevator. It had flown over the other side during the drop sequence I presume. The moral of this story? If you're taking light bags on this ride with you, hold onto them. Don't just leave them loose at your feet like I did :)
Really takes you out of the experience when you're in this haunted house and everything is all spooky, then you turn the corner and there's a line of people. Then after the ride, you come out and there's merchandise all around to buy.

I can't stand this ride. It's not the ghosts and haunting special effects I'm scared of cause I'll admit they did a pretty good job on it. I'm scared of the drops. I can't do droppy rides like this 😰😨
My first time trying to riding this, I was so scared and I voiced my concern about how scary this ride is to the ride operator, who responded "It's only an elevator..." which just scared the crap out of me and made me chicken out. lol And one time when I actually did ride it, I was stuck on it for a good five minutes, in the dark, and the prop next to me was this creepy doll thing. Will I ever ride on this ride again? HECK YEAH
OMG that happened to me too. The ride operator asked if it was anyone's first time riding the ride. A man in the back raised his hand. To his surprise the ride operator said, "So.. why didn't you take the stairs?" At the same time, he closed the elevator doors.
I'm sorry but whoever was talking during when the tv turned in please be quiet for 30 seconds so others who are riding the first time can understand what's happening

I was like 6 or 7 when I first rode this. I remember we had everything planned out, like certain rides on certain days. On the day when we were supposed to ride the Tower of Terror, I chickened out right before I got in the elevator. Then, on the very last day that we were in Disney World, we were riding one of the boat things to our hotel and I just stood up and said, "I want to ride the Tower of Terror." So, my dad took me to Hollywood Studios, and we got the front row. I absolutely loved it!! It's now easily my favorite ride. I just recently got back from Disney World and literally rode it like 10 times. It's just the best!!
I watched it being built and after it opened, as I watched as the doors opened and heard grown men scream, told myself NO WAY. On one visit, I let my partner talk me into going in. Even tho many are there for the 'scary bit' and miss everything in between because they won't shut up, the atmosphere is awesome completing an incredible experience!! Grown men scream but when we left, I looked at him and said 'let's go again'!! You MUST go but hang on to your hat!
In Paris, the Disney staff make the experience so much better by actually acting like creepy hotel workers and being sinister with the crowds of people! They're all great at acting which really adds to the atmosphere
I remember going on this when I was 7, I got a T-shirt that was dark purple and had mickey mouse on the elevator and on the back it said "next time take the stairs"

I have never ever in my entire life have been so sad that they are changing the ride to "Guardians of the Galaxy" (at least they are doing it to the one in California? ) like FFS if they want a Marvel ride, that should be at Orlando Studios.... Tot, is INSANELY loved by me, I'm an INSANELY Mega huge Fan of this ride... I love the building, its layouts and how it was designed for the ride and seriously everything (the movie with Kirsten Dunst and Steve Guttenberg such a cute movie btw, for those who haven't seen it ) I have cried Several times off and on a lot once I heard about the news, So upset with Disney about this. Are they changing DisneyWorld's Tot? or are they keeping it? please say they are... its my favorite, more than California's (still love them both deeply however) #savethetower

Finally someone who can use night vision! Only other person I've see who uses night vision as good as you is themeparkhd! Also this is the best ride besides expedition Everest of course at Disney in my favor! My best memory was my first time on this!

It blows me away how selfish many Disney World guests are. While your family may enjoy talking in the preshow and ride, you should consider that others may just be trying to enjoy the ride. Talking during rides is just like talking during a movie, it is obnoxious, rude, and detracts greatly from other's ride experience.
Right? I only talk twice during the preshow, and that's whispering 'the Twilight Zone' along with Mr. Serling when he says it. People are pretty rude. I don't mind gasps and laughs, but screaming? Save it for the actual ride.
Edward Morgan Completely agree. The next day after I rode this we were in some restaraunt eating and these dumb teens screamed extremely loud and kept talking, actually made someone pass out.
There wasn't really many people talking during the pre-show. I could here it perfectly fine, and you should expect for people to be talking. I could hear many people speaking different languages, and you should expect for people to scream too.
Red Letter it especially sucks at the drops because I have a thing where all it takes to hurt my ears of noise is a vacuum cleaner and those screaming idiots are gonna be the death of me...
I love this ride so much and am sad to see it replaced. My first time I was about 10 or 11 and my group was seated in the front row with me in the front corner. Now, idk if anyone's noticed the grate on the ceiling. Our elevator attendant said "Everyone, it's perfectly safe. There's no way anyone could fall out... Unless your sitting there." Just as the doors start to close he points to my seat and then up and there's a hole in the grate. I go white as a sheet and was terrified the entire ride. Haha but after that it became my favorite.
I still get sweaty palms watching Tower of Terror videos. I’m not ashamed to admit I was scared shitless when queuing for this ride in Florida. I’m glad I rode it. It’s a great experience, but stressful (in my opinion).
This is probably the best ride in the World. The real unsung brilliance of it though? It's the bit right before you enter the building and you can see all that plant life over the balcony. Incredible effect to make you feel like you're actually overlooking the vast gardens of a huge hotel complex. It's a terrible shame there aren't more videos that focus on this part of the queue. It's beautifully done.

Before I was born my dad and my brother went to Disneyland and they went over to tower of terror. My brother wasn't just tall enough (my dad was glad he wasn't tall enough be cuz he was scared of something happening to my brother XD) but when the person came to check his height the person said "stretch little guy" then my brother was tall enough. But when my dad and my brother went on the ride my dad was going oh how nice! And everybody else was screaming. I find this story pretty funny. DISNEYLAND SHALL LIVE FOREVERMORE!!!!!!!! This has always been my favourite Disney ride, ever since I was tall enough to ride it, and for my 18th birthday, we stayed late during the magic hours (when there was virtually no line) and went on this 18 times to celebrate. (: Planning on doing the same for my 21st. Some things never get old.
I really, really hate how so many POV riders turn on Nightvision mode whenever the light gets low. If you were supposed to see it, it'd be lit. If it's not lit, showing it ruins the whole POV experience. And yes, some people go to RUclips to see the "inner workings" of rides, I know. But there are videos specifically for that. They are normally clearly labeled as "Ride Evacuation" or "Lights On Ride-through" or "[Ride] with Nightvision," etc. so those of us who really just want to see the ride as intended can avoid them. I really wish that all videos that feature Nightvision at all would have a warning in the title, so the ride isn't ruined.
If that any people had been jabbering, I don't know how I would have resisted the urge to go off on them. Honestly, to pay so much money and spend so much time waiting, only to get to the ride and have obnoxious people practically shouting the whole time... It sucks.
I can't wait to go on this version, I've only been on the California version, but this video is giving me nostalgia for it. When we were in the preshow like everyone said 'The Twilight Zone' along with the end of the "episode"... I think it was the first time I ever went on the ride (and I only ever got to go on the Cali version twice before it got rethemed)
Very. But do it anyways. I'm terrified of heights, but I conquered my fear with this ride and don't regret it at all. I did almost have a panic attack from it, but God what an experience.
David Hudson Lucky you, it didn't conquer my fear of heights, and a month later I was going to the 30th floor of a hotel with an express elevator, and I had a death grip in the corner of the elevator because of this ride both up and down.
Guy Dude Ok so I know im 4 months late, but for any one else with this problem. It depends on how afraid you are. I was young when I got on this ride. Fairly new to roller coasters and didn't know what I was getting myself into. I didn't know my limit yet. Now, today, I probably wont get on this willingly like I did all those years before. But. Like I said, it depends on your tolerance level with roller coasters. Do you like the big drops, the g force, the feeling of your insides in youre throat? Then this is defiantly the ride for you. If youre not too fond of those things... I still say go for it. I hate the drops. But. If I do go here again, I think I might go back on it. Just to see how it is now. Just try it at least once. Ill admit it is scary, I remember some of it. But I feel like it was a bit different when I went on. When we got all the way to the top, there was a pause. Then the windows opened for you to see how high you were, but you could only see it for a split second before you were falling. The after picture was funny though. How tight my family was holding onto each other. But. Just get on it. Better to have tried it and regret it, than not try it and regret it I think.

I know it's an amusement park and all but I wish the guys would have been quiet for the intro video especially if there were people who have never rode before and would like to hear the introduction but can't because they wouldn't shut up. Having fun or not it's called common curtesy.

The back story is pretty terrifying. Especially your first time on it. I rode it for the first time a few months back and I thought it was going to drop way before it actually did.
Me and my friend went on this ride for the first time ever in 2014. We loved the way it looked like a realistic creepy hotel on the inside and how the people looked like real hotel employees. The closer and closer we got to those elevators, we looked at each other like, "Ok, what have we done? This is a bad idea." But we went through with it. Man, oh, man. When the drops happened, I kept my eyes closed and kept my body leaned over to the side because my body felt extremely lightweight! It was so much fun, though. Me and my friend got off the ride with our hands shaking, our nerves were so shook. Then when they told us it's a different drop every time you ride, that made it worse! This is one of my favorite rides, though. So much fun!
I didn't want to go on this because I hate drops, but I got forced to go onto this by my mom and my friends. On the picture from the ride, I was basically cry/screaming and of course they bought the picture. They still laugh about it and bring the picture up in conversation to this day. This was 3 years ago :/

Amazing!!! Never gets old. Even as a Freshman in College I still love Disney. Tower of Terror was the first ride we got on! Only had two problems really:
1. The fastpass+ system has a lot of issues and problems with it that need fixing BADLY. This new system is definitely a huge downgrade from the original fastpass system (I did like the MagicBands and the idea behind them)
2. Splash Mountain was closed for refurbishments!! D: one of my favorite rides :(
Other than that. it was fantastic. Stayed at the Boardwalk for a whole week, went to all the parks, saw Tangled for the very first time, got to see the new Magic Kingdom Parade, saw Cirque Du Soleil's La Nouba for the fourth time, and got to see the greatest fireworks show in all of WDW (Illuminations!). Spent the last evening with my bro walking around world showcase lagoon at closing time..amazing. I love Disney World so much and cant wait to go back again!
from what I've noticed a lot of foreign groups that come to WDW (mostly from brazil and mexico) make ALOT of noise. they typically cheer and yell in line, in the pre-shows, and of course on the ride itself. its annoying but hey, you're at disney, might as well cheer about it!
We rode TOT about 6 times when we were at Disney last week. The last time, a family from Mexico got on with us and they would NOT STOP TALKING. I couldn't even hear Rod Serling in the elevator because they were talking so loud. I can understand if people talk on a ride, but there were six people in this family and they were talking at full volume.
i believe it. last summer we took a family vacation for 10 days starting in may and ending in june. the first half of the trip was great, but once the schools got out and all these foreign trips started to pile in, it got worse. it was terrible. we are taking a mid may trip this year. hopefully we can avoid these people. it is obnoxious and rude.

I went on this at Disney's California Adventures and it had the best cast member ever! When we got all buckled up he said "I'm sorry folks but this elevator broke down, luckily we can move to another in a few minutes. So I want you all to double check your seat belts." Then after everyone checked their seat belts, he had this evil grin on his face as he closed the doors. It was the most epic thing ever. Also when we got off he said "I hope you had an elevating experience" and then had his evil grin again. Gotta love Disney for people like that.
On my ride, there was a little girl dressed as a Disney princess and the cast member said, "Okay folks, we have a princess here but please no flash photography or autographs."
I love the concept and theming for this ride, I just don't like actually riding it.

Especially when you're claustrophobic. One of the times that I went with my family, we got on the elevator, buckled ourselves in and the doors were about to be shut by the cast member. When all of a sudden, my mom became so anxious about being in the closed elevator that she desperately and panic-strickenly wanted to get off and even asked the ride operator if she could. The operator, very wryly and menacingly told her, with a slight smirk, "Too late," and shut the door. Those cast members get so into character on that ride.

+Max Kool I know what you mean. Every time we get front row on Pirates, we get obnoxious people behind us. There was these college kids who talked the entire time. Then we had these two girls who were in their own world talking about inappropriate things. At the end of the ride, I tried to get a selfie with my sisters as we waited to get off the ride. (I was new to the selfies and had to have my sister show me how to work the camera on my phone). The girls noticed and kept photo bombing. All I needed was one photo, but they kept ruining the pictures. My sister turned around and said sternly, "Please don't do that." I wish she did that earlier because that got them to stop talking.
Sadly a LOT of rides gets those...
My brother had a pissy morning because of one incident where a woman on the Pirates ride would NOT stop talking and taking photos with the flash on.
We actually got stopped due to it, and she sat on her phone to hide the fact it was her... And then did it again as we continued...

In Japan it's a completely different story. There is this Tiki thing that Mr. Hightower, an adventurer, brought back to his hotel as a memory of going to this place. Hightower rode his elevator up with the Tiki and the Tiki contains a bad spirit in it so the Tiki made the elevator bam into the ground floor. When people checked it out no one could find Hightower's body. The only thing remaining is the Tiki. And whoever is riding is the next victims.

I went to Disney with my brother, sister, and parents, and my mom waited by the exit for us while the rest of us went. I only went because my big sister was going and I thought everything she did was cool. We were close to the front and I was getting scared. I told fam I wanted to go back but my big brother was like lol no. so I was clutching my sisters arm for life at the beginning. as we were dropping, I hugged my sisters arm and made no sounds. my eyes were wide open and I was terrified. my sister told me to scream and I let out the most high pitched scream ever, I think I was like 7. to this day, I'm terrified of any rollercoasters.
I was laughing the entire time It wasn't even that bad and I'm terrified of heights and rode every ride in Epcot The Magic Kingdom Hollywood Studios and Universal Studios couldn't make it to Animal Kingdom had no time to look at the abandoned parks River Country and Discovery Island
Rode this, crushed my friends hand, and cried as I fell to the floor when I got off. Ran out of that place as fast as possible!!!

I have a pretty funny story from when I went on this ride for the first time last month. I took a plastic bag on the ride with me with a few things I'd bought in it. I had the bag at my feet for the duration if the ride...or so I thought. When the ride had finished and was unloading, I noticed my bag had vanished. I panicked and asked my dad where it had gone, thinking that it had flown out of the ride somehow, when a guy over the other side of the elevator called out, "whose bag is this?" I looked and it was my bag. On the other side of the elevator. It had flown over the other side during the drop sequence I presume.
The moral of this story? If you're taking light bags on this ride with you, hold onto them. Don't just leave them loose at your feet like I did :)

Really takes you out of the experience when you're in this haunted house and everything is all spooky, then you turn the corner and there's a line of people.
Then after the ride, you come out and there's merchandise all around to buy.

I was like 6 or 7 when I first rode this. I remember we had everything planned out, like certain rides on certain days. On the day when we were supposed to ride the Tower of Terror, I chickened out right before I got in the elevator. Then, on the very last day that we were in Disney World, we were riding one of the boat things to our hotel and I just stood up and said, "I want to ride the Tower of Terror." So, my dad took me to Hollywood Studios, and we got the front row. I absolutely loved it!! It's now easily my favorite ride. I just recently got back from Disney World and literally rode it like 10 times. It's just the best!!

I watched it being built and after it opened, as I watched as the doors opened and heard grown men scream, told myself NO WAY. On one visit, I let my partner talk me into going in. Even tho many are there for the 'scary bit' and miss everything in between because they won't shut up, the atmosphere is awesome completing an incredible experience!! Grown men scream but when we left, I looked at him and said 'let's go again'!! You MUST go but hang on to your hat!

Tot, is INSANELY loved by me, I'm an INSANELY Mega huge Fan of this ride... I love the building, its layouts and how it was designed for the ride and seriously everything (the movie with Kirsten Dunst and Steve Guttenberg such a cute movie btw, for those who haven't seen it )

It blows me away how selfish many Disney World guests are. While your family may enjoy talking in the preshow and ride, you should consider that others may just be trying to enjoy the ride. Talking during rides is just like talking during a movie, it is obnoxious, rude, and detracts greatly from other's ride experience.
Right? I only talk twice during the preshow, and that's whispering 'the Twilight Zone' along with Mr. Serling when he says it. People are pretty rude. I don't mind gasps and laughs, but screaming? Save it for the actual ride.

There wasn't really many people talking during the pre-show. I could here it perfectly fine, and you should expect for people to be talking. I could hear many people speaking different languages, and you should expect for people to scream too.

I still get sweaty palms watching Tower of Terror videos. I’m not ashamed to admit I was scared shitless when queuing for this ride in Florida. I’m glad I rode it. It’s a great experience, but stressful (in my opinion).

Oh yes! I remember Tower of Terror. It's been over 2 decades ago. We went to Hollywood MGM studio. I rode on it.
I was scared of riding this at my first time, but since I'm a tough guy I only cried for an hour before I actually got on.

This is probably the best ride in the World. The real unsung brilliance of it though? It's the bit right before you enter the building and you can see all that plant life over the balcony. Incredible effect to make you feel like you're actually overlooking the vast gardens of a huge hotel complex. It's a terrible shame there aren't more videos that focus on this part of the queue. It's beautifully done.

Before I was born my dad and my brother went to Disneyland and they went over to tower of terror. My brother wasn't just tall enough (my dad was glad he wasn't tall enough be cuz he was scared of something happening to my brother XD) but when the person came to check his height the person said "stretch little guy" then my brother was tall enough. But when my dad and my brother went on the ride my dad was going oh how nice! And everybody else was screaming. I find this story pretty funny.

This has always been my favourite Disney ride, ever since I was tall enough to ride it, and for my 18th birthday, we stayed late during the magic hours (when there was virtually no line) and went on this 18 times to celebrate. (: Planning on doing the same for my 21st. Some things never get old.

I really, really hate how so many POV riders turn on Nightvision mode whenever the light gets low. If you were supposed to see it, it'd be lit. If it's not lit, showing it ruins the whole POV experience.
And yes, some people go to RUclips to see the "inner workings" of rides, I know. But there are videos specifically for that. They are normally clearly labeled as "Ride Evacuation" or "Lights On Ride-through" or "[Ride] with Nightvision," etc. so those of us who really just want to see the ride as intended can avoid them. I really wish that all videos that feature Nightvision at all would have a warning in the title, so the ride isn't ruined.

If that any people had been jabbering, I don't know how I would have resisted the urge to go off on them. Honestly, to pay so much money and spend so much time waiting, only to get to the ride and have obnoxious people practically shouting the whole time... It sucks.
The ride is short in the video but when I was there it felt so long 😱 and yes I'm not making it up if I could I could show pics of it

When we were in the preshow like everyone said 'The Twilight Zone' along with the end of the "episode"... I think it was the first time I ever went on the ride (and I only ever got to go on the Cali version twice before it got rethemed)

David Hudson Lucky you, it didn't conquer my fear of heights, and a month later I was going to the 30th floor of a hotel with an express elevator, and I had a death grip in the corner of the elevator because of this ride both up and down.

Guy Dude Ok so I know im 4 months late, but for any one else with this problem. It depends on how afraid you are. I was young when I got on this ride. Fairly new to roller coasters and didn't know what I was getting myself into. I didn't know my limit yet. Now, today, I probably wont get on this willingly like I did all those years before. But. Like I said, it depends on your tolerance level with roller coasters. Do you like the big drops, the g force, the feeling of your insides in youre throat? Then this is defiantly the ride for you. If youre not too fond of those things... I still say go for it. I hate the drops. But. If I do go here again, I think I might go back on it. Just to see how it is now. Just try it at least once. Ill admit it is scary, I remember some of it. But I feel like it was a bit different when I went on. When we got all the way to the top, there was a pause. Then the windows opened for you to see how high you were, but you could only see it for a split second before you were falling. The after picture was funny though. How tight my family was holding onto each other. But. Just get on it. Better to have tried it and regret it, than not try it and regret it I think.

This is my favorite ride at Disney World. Besides being an exciting thriller, I love the amazing architecture and music that was put into it.
