So it looks like you are running an amazon firestick and controlling it via the bluetooth keyboard. I have an LG Smart TV and I want to use the keyboard directly with WebOS. The trackpad works but the searching via keyboard, say within the WebOS RUclips app is not working. Have you ever had any luck making that work?

Yes but when I go to settings it takes me to the computer symbol, when it comes to devices it only shows five different options like connecting to remote or subwoofer or sound bar etc,
You have to make your Bluetooth keyboard discoverable there is a tiny button you can press and a little blue light will come on, then you should see the keyboard on the list. Great question!
@@getsmore5506 thanks I have looked from top side and underneath and all around and can't find any buttons, but I will look again, I'm not sure when I first put the new batteries in it I thought my keyboard should have lit up, I know I put a new battery in my mouse as well and it lit up immediately but theis no off button for my mouse and thus the battery drained over several days, I guess I'm going to have to get out the magnifying glasses , LOL!

Could you have connected the little usb thing that comes in the mouse and use the mouse like you would on a computer? Or is it a must that you use the remote for a mouse.
Thank you for your comment. Good question. You Can use a mouse with a USB cord. It will work but the cord will be very short and you will need to be right next to the TV. I recommend using a mouse that can connect w Bluetooth so you can still search with ease from your couch.

it have the icon on f10 and f11 something, but i tried , shift+f10 , alt+f10, ctrl+10 but in not results
I don't see the selection for, "Bluetooth keyboard" in the settings in the bluetooth menu. It's a smart TV as well and I'm using the Firestick remote settings menu.
Ok press the button on the keyboard and make it discoverable. Then click on devices or connect device on the tv and you should see keyboard on that menu if it’s charged and discoverable

If you get a Bluetooth keyboard with a touchpad, you should be able to control your cursor from the keyboard touchpad, and not have to use the remote. I just ordered one. I hope it works.

This was two years ago, so I'm trying to remember. I ended up returning the keyboard because I decided it was just quicker and easier to use my computer to get online. I think the touch pad worked, but I honestly can't say I 100% remember.

As long as the tv has Bluetooth capability then you follow the same steps by going into settings and connecting the Bluetooth keyboard. If the tv isn’t capable of Bluetooth connectivity then it’s not going to work.

Thanks. Question: I like to write, can I use the bluetooth keyboard on my smart tv if I have a story or article I am writing on a USB? For example, I plug the USB into the smart tv, open the MS Word document and continue writing. Possible?
It works with google docs because it is online using the internet app. Your tv most likely won't have office software installed on it. But if you type it in Google docs on your tv you can pull it up on your computer without a USB and save it into word.
