could u please help me on this because when i go on external device manager the input device manager isn’t there there only keyboard manager and it’s just changing the language and stuff
I think that overall, there is a compatibility problem with all the Bluetooth keyboards I have tried on my Samsung QN90a (It's not compatible with wifi - bummer). For example, in Netflix you can type but the trackpad/mice does not work while in RUclips the mouse works but you cant type. So not really sure how useful any external keyboard is.
Extremely useful video. I was very confident this method of wireless would work but it seems that you need to be connected to Television. Have you tried using a USB Hub? It'd be great to know! This is pretty concerning, I am wondering if it's like this to all Samsung TV's. I'm getting the TU7000 which is a newer model. You should have also tried a game controller as an alternative. You will hardly find info about Steam in Smart TVs, only the fact that it's free but no review about the quality or gameplay.. But hey as long as you can play on TV without connecting to PC or Device, I think it's worth it.
I'll have to try a USB hub and do a video of what I find.. thanks for the idea! I've used an Xbox controller, and that will successfully navigate the Samsung TV menus.
HELP!. Trying to connect Trio500 to Samsung Smart 7 series TV. At "Input Device Manager " there is no "Bluetooth Settings". Any help would be appreciated
So I have a blue ray 4k DVD player that has smart view and I connect it to my TV to magnify my music softwar off my phone... so we're does my keyboard go in the TV or the DVD player?
It works, but it depends what you want to use it for. A bit of light browsing, etc would be fine. It’s going to hit limits if you want more out of it you might be disappointed. It’d be interesting to try to use the TV like that for a week & report back on whether it’s a viable laptop replacement.
I am so confused about these keyboards. I want to find one that will work with my Samsung smart tv so that I can type in user name and password, search for movies on Netflix/Prime Video/Hulu etc. Is there a keyboard that will do that or is this an issue with Samsung? In other words, should I give up hope for finding a keyboard that will allow me to do this?
You can plug in any old keyboard, even vis USB just to give it a test.. then you can decide whether it’s worth getting a Bluetooth one. But yeah, I didn’t find it worked consistently enough to bother using all the time. Fire TV devices solve this by giving you a virtual keyboard in the companion smartphone app.. that lets you log into apps really easily!
The SmartThings mobile app allows you to use your phone’s onscreen keyboard and a virtual trackpad. It’s definitely useful, but not great. I bought a Bluetooth keyboard with built-in trackpad hoping for a better accessory but encountered the same patchy results on my Samsung TV as in this video. Excellent in the web browser but not everywhere else. Thanks for doing this video.
Weird.. I wonder if a software update somehow removed it? Maybe try a full power off/on from the plug? Failing that look for any software updates for the TV, and if there aren’t you could see if there’s a factory reset option to take the firmware back to the original to see if that option reappears.
I like Samsung TV's in general but when I contacted them about compatible Wireless touch keyboards they were unable to provide me with one, and this is from a company that actually makes a Samsung brand wireless touch keyboard for their TV's. How dumb can they be not knowing they produce their own keyboard for their own TV's??🤣
I wonder if it's worth spending 83$ on amazon for Logitech K830. when the Q90T has voice activation. it is easier to type for sure. same for the mouse. that's where LG has an edge over Samsung OS.
Legend! 2years after you uploaded this, it still works for me. Thank you!
You're welcome! 😊

Yeah, I think you’ve come to the same conclusion as I did.. i.e. it’s not that useful.
It's useful for me because I have mobility issues and you can always open up the RUclips inside of the web browser.

Weird how they’d let you do audio, but no keyboard support 🙁
I'm in the same position.
Expernal speaker connects via Bluetooth but Microsoft keyboard and mouse..no go

Would you say that the mouse is only useful (or functional) when it comes to the browser on the smart TVs?
Yes.. it’s otherwise not useful at all. Not sure how many ppl use a browser on their tv regularly… ?
@@Endpoint101 But does it work or doesn't work at all? I would want to replace my entire PC/laptop setup with Tizen at parents' home.

I am also having this same issue. I don't understand why it was removed in the latest software version. Any help please
My Logitech k480 not functioning well,, i mean for some buttons like the letter e, f, ang g,
☹️ is that only happening when connected to the tv? I.e. it works properly on other devices?
Same problem here. Same letters also. Not sure how to fix as it works fine on other devices

I don't think the wireless dongle will work in Samsung TVs.. just bluetooth, but give it a try and let us know if it works.
@@Endpoint101 Microsoft All-in-One Keybord with USB dongle is working on my Samsung TV (55NU7442).

I bought 65” Samsung TU7000. It only has one USB port. I need more to connect various things. Can i use USB hub on this tv? Will it work?
As far as I know a usb hub would work, but I’d recommend getting one with an external power supply.

You can certainly pair a mouse with it, without attaching a keyboard.
is this tizen with kodi ?
Well spotted, but no.. that’s showing output from my Fire TV stick, rather than the Samsung TV menus.
