My bun loves to nap next to me when I’m working in the laptop. We are both at peace & it’s a wonderful feeling that he trusts me enough to nap beside me. What a privilege ❤
I absolutely love when I get home and my bunny runs around my feet before putting his paws up on my legs. I couldn't imagine not stopping to give him a few hello pets
They usually do that in areas with low "ceilings", like under a bed or couch. They're natural burrowers, and tend to feel safe in places with where they can reach the "roof" without taking any paws off the floor/ground.
I do go a little overboard when visiting people who have pets. When I come home, all of my clothes go into the wash (since the washing machine is right next to the front door) and I wash my hands all the way up to my arms before I even think of getting close to my rabbit. Kinda like a decontamination pre bunny contact. I dont want to upset him ever, he's my #1 hunny bunny!
I got got a rabbit a month ago when my wonderful 14.5 year old yorkie passed away. Thanks for all your tips and advice, the big cage I sent for is going back now. My Teddy and soon also Sally who will arrive in 1 month will be able to walk freely like my earlier dog. You are doing a fantastic job! Greetings from Sweden
They get some activity in and have a chance to entertain themselves while free roaming. It's cute watching a bunny just hopp arround and explore. Most humans would not want to be caged up in a tini space and want to roam arround, why should not our pets get the same treatment. Giving them a safe space to go hide in for nap time or whatever is probably the best option. I've seen some happy bunnies roaming arround and have a designated area for their cage that had a bed and couple of toys in. It was so cute watching them just go inside for little nap time and comming back out after nap. It was like a little bedroom set up.
Point #2 made me lol. Sometimes I like browsing bunny content (r/rabbits, Lennon, Cinnabun, google images for baby bunnies, etc) when I'm feeling down because bunnies are one of the things that are guaranteed to make me smile. And when I do I can imagine my bunns being like "You better not be over there looking at other bunnies!" XD I'm definitely with you on the forced interaction. They're so cute and I love them so much that sometimes its a little hard to not disturb them. But rabbits are pretty smart and if its occasional and they've been with you for a while, I think they do understand that its just how we express love. And omg, definitely yes on the treats. I give my rabbits a timothy biscuit every morning when I let them out. I've been doing it for 13 years. And there have been occasions where I've run out of treats and didn't have time to buy more, so I'd miss a day. On those rare occasions, they were visibly angry at me for not giving them their morning treat
One thing I personally feel like hurts your rabbits feelings is taking away their toys when they're playing, or moving something that's not in the way to somewhere else even when they have a favorite spot for that object.
Hey, about three years ago I started following you for tips on ways to look after pearl. She was my bunny, before I got her I watched every video i could find so I could look after her right and make sure she had the best life. Your videos really helped me, and she became my best friend as I was only young I’ve grown up with her and can barely remember anytime before her. Every memory would have to be with her, or friends and family. Recently my parents got a new dog as my elderly dog is having hip problems and we live in an area where you need a dog for safety. We got a mastiff and named him Zeus, when he was a small puppy he would sit with her and give her kisses even though I knew this was wrong I was told she would be fine and I got ignored. Not long ago id woken to my sister screaming and my parents came rushing outside with trembling voices repeating “No, Zeus” I jumped up worried he’d hurt my older dog who id also had since I was two, him and pearl got along fine he didn’t ever bother her and she’d never bother him. My mum was holding me back and when she told me Zeus, our 6 month old mastiff had gotten to pearl it was horrible. He’d ripped her apart to the point I wasn’t allowed to see her. A horrible way for your best friend, and child to go. We miss you Pearl I’ve never felt more empty and lonely before. If you haven’t got the income to afford that which most people probably don’t, than your bunny wont have what it needs. The puppy was separated from her but he broke into her area and got to her. ❤️❤️🐰

Avoiding being scolding is difficult when dealing with aggressive bonding behaviors. I worry if I pet them or if I'm too sweet I may be encouraging the behavior

My two don't actually like it, but they don't seem to mind too much as long as I don't get too close. They do like attacking the sweeping brush, and when I was drilling into concrete earlier today, one came over to see what was happening!
lol that's adorable. My bunny hates the vacuum but he is a bit more used to it now. I always make sure he sees it to give him a warning before I turn it on, and I've managed to find a relatively quiet vacuum which both he and I appreciate
Love how humble you are in all your vids! Theres so much to learn about these adorable balls of cutness! I try to give mine the space she needs, but on occasions i just cant help myself and lay right next to where she is loafing and she leans against me :)
That's gotta be exactly the mentality there... "You cheating on me? Leaving and abandoning me for another warren? Another rabbit clutch/family? Am I not good enough? You no longer love me?"
As soon as I come home the dog AND the bunny come running because they both know they get a treat for being good babies while I was gone lol everyone sees it and laughs and says your rabbit thinks it's a dog! I tell them don't let Oly hear you say that - that's an insult to him - as far as he's concerned, the dog is a nuisance and definitely beneath him, lol
I agree that getting to know your rabbit’s preferences is key! For a while when I would clean their room, I would take them to another room so I could vacuum. I noticed though that this stressed them out. They were dropping wet poops everywhere and one was exhibiting more aggressive behavior over the other. Even with a place to hide. The unfamiliar space just freaked them out too much. So now, I keep them in the room while I vacuum; I just do half of the room at a time, penning them into the other half I’m not actively cleaning. I hate that they have to listen to the vacuum noise, but they really don’t appear to mind; I don’t see any of the stress behavior I’d seen before. Everybunny is different!
My buns have a little dig box with some toys inside I usually put some pellets in there &they just have at it ! they also love to rip up there cardboard tunnel lol ☺️🥰 they also love there palm leaf bowls too. Sometimes when my husband and I are cookin, they don’t like the smell so I try to give them a treat if I use the oven.
I recently took in a doe with all sorts of issues going on: sore hocks, obesity, dry and leathery ears from being picked up that way… the works! She had such bad sores and still has never stomped once (even when my buck insisted on asserting his dominance in her face). Instead she’s developed a “Huff!” that seems to be her equivalent of a frustrated stomp. Just over two weeks later, and she almost has all the fur back on those hind legs. Is it weird that I’m hoping to hear her stomping some time soon? It would surely be a sign that she feels good enough to do so.
3:08 My bunny (male) loves a pett under the chin (front to back), cheeks (rub/rotate), ears incl. in shell (rub/rotate), hind leg/behind (yellow area, rotate).
even though rabbits don't enjoy touches on the butt or base of the tail, I've noticed that when particularly when they're shedding, they enjoy being scratched in that area. I'll scratch my bun in that area when she's in the mood and she goes crazy with licking me
Sometimes, considering my rabbit lives in my room with me, we let her in the living room and put my dog away. We haven’t lately but i do remember her reactions. She usually gets a little stressed then calms down but when i go to put her/lead her back to my room shes ready to be done 😂
Lennon is an adorable 🐰 bunny! We have a rescue bunny 🐰 named The Professor! The Bunny Rescue found him and some other bunnies 🐰 at a dumpster! He ha been with us for 3 months now! He likes music time! This is when he 🎶 listens to me listen to music on my tablet! He loves music 🎶! His pen is by the kitchen table! We leave his door 🚪 open all of the time now! Have a great day Lennon the Bunny 🐰 🐇 😘! Bunnies 🐰 RULE!
I was kind of confused at first because my rabbit would flop and I would put him on the head or the back and he seem to get kind of upset so I tried petting him on the cheek and he still was upset. Come to find out he likes being on his head and stomach.
When I come home from work in the morning they know it’s time to eat so they get all excited and goofy. I usually give them their Oxbow digestive tab and pellets then go to bed and do their chores in the afternoon when I get up. On my days off I spend lots of time with them. But when I work my 12 hour nights my husband interacts with them more. Luckily I only work 5 days every 2 weeks so I can be at home more with my bunnies.
I'm thinking very seriously about having a rabbit but one thing I might notice too is how to put my rabbit in its cage at night when I go to bed. But one thing I am not going to do, is my rabbit stay with me all night and start chewing on everything in the house. I don't want half my things destroyed by the rabbit!
How do I become more friendly with my two bonded rabbits? They Take treats from my hand and will accept a few post-treat pets but generally just spend their time cuddling each other, sleeping under the couch, and running around the living room. when I walk into the room while they are in a spot they don't normally hang out they run and hide and will not cuddle with me unless they think I will feed them. they are happy and healthy, litter box trained, and spend most of their time playing and doing binkies i just wish they looked to me for cuddles and socializing.
I'm probably not anyone to give advice hehe, but make sure to not smell like any foreign animals when hanging around your bunny, being that this can lead to stress and anxiety over territorial behaviors.
She doesn't have a plush carpet, so she doesn't have to worry about digging much. They LOVE cords! Especially the ones that are plugged in. What is the best way to give them that urge to dig without digging in the carpet? What toys do you recommend giving rabbits?
I totally agree with this list! The only negative thing I noticed are some pictures you show during the video. Some people shown do not hold their rabbits as they should, making them feel vulnerable. It might be misleading for your audience.
Mine sleeps by the landing to look down at the door so he had the view and he get instantly patted each time we walk by especially when coming in or leaving I even tell him where I’m going and when I’ll be back lol
UGHK!!! It's so hard not to pet those adorable feeties!!! My bun will let me pet his feets on occasion but if i come in too hot he jumps up and turns his back toward me..
Positive reinforcement is generally the way to go with rabbits. They don't generally "get" punishment. If they are someplace you don't want them it's best to shoo them out or otherwise move them, but don't punish them. They'll quickly figure out that they are supposed to avoid those areas, and won't likely go there unless they find the area attractive or want your attention. My bun knows she isn't allowed inside the entertainment center, too many important wires she could chew on or be hurt by... or both. Sometimes she'll pop in there if I'm there to see it just to let me know something isn't right, usually that her food bowl is empty. Rabbits, as a general rule, are not malicious. They do, however, love to get into mischief, and are very curious. Also, if you piss a rabbit off it will seek to get even. They aren't malicious, but they are vengeful. Just keep in mind that they have the mentality of a spoiled 4 year old.
My heart just broke :( I definitely don't always say hello as soon as I get home. I feel terrible. The thought of her feelings being hurt is so painful.
My bunny acts a little like a dog when it comes to belly rubs and scratching his side just in front of his back legs. He responds to the belly rub by licking my hand and he stretches his leg out every time I scratch that spot.
When adding another Bunny it changes the dynamics you will have with your bunnies. Your relationship changes & they become more distant or independent. They will go to another bunny for comfort & you are not needed as much. The relationship changes. Just be aware of this before you adopt a second bunny. If they are spending a lot of time alone however then it may be better to adopt a companion rabbit for your rabbit so he has someone else & doesn't get lonely. Bunnies are most active in the evenings so if you have a day job your bunny will likely spend the day sleeping so they are awake for your arrival in the evenings & can do fine alone. If you work a night or swing shift & are rarely home in the evenings then a 2nd bunny will help keep them company. Each has their own personality & will delight us with it. I had 10 buns in the house (2 in the kitchen, 1 in the entryway, 4 in the living room, 1 handicap bunny in a playpen, 1 in the hallway & 1 in the bathroom) that I adopted with my late husband. The groupings above are how they got along & their designated territories. They were all free roaming, except for the disabled bunny who spent time in his playpen when we were at work. He was a paraplegic from birth & will always be our heart bunny. He spent the evenings laying on my husband's lap or over his shoulder until my husband dosed off, then he slid down off the couch to go roaming. He had plenty of entertainment in his playpen during the day with all his fleece blankets, bed & toys which the other buns would chew through the playpen to try to steal. He decided to do something about it & started to push all his buttons through the hole....that was his turf (I put a can underneath the hole to collect them). He never lacked attention since his bladder had to manually be expressed 3-4 times a day. The other bunnies got attention every time we went into their perspective areas. So no one was neglected. But the dynamics were different between having a group vs only one.

Do you greet your bunnies with a hello as soon as you walk in the door? Me - Yes Do you warn them when you're gonna turn on the blender? 😆 Me - also yes
Yes it is important to pay attention to to your bunny. I clean up behind my bunnies and forgot to leave a few of their droppings . Their place was too clean. 😂 So each bunny rearranged their area with their droppings( their personal aroma) They are very spoiled bunnies. And I love spoiling them too.
The only thing I do that my Maisy hates is picking her up, but it's only when necessary. For example, Maisy was spayed a little over a week ago, and I have to check her belly to make sure it's healing properly. I know I'm doing it for the right reasons, but I still feel like a big meany for it.
So we work from home, so much of these tips do not apply to us. We are trying to bond our bunnies at the moment, and we have noticed that when the dominant female digs, then it means that she is frustrated and wants her prospective mate's attention. Buns like ours are impossible!!! 🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
My bun Sadie does something I haven’t seen in other bunnies. She almost never thumps but she frequently grunts. Sometimes it’s clear the grunt is because she’s annoyed but other times it seems like she just trying to talk. Just have never have seen this behavior before. Sadie’s is a very happy, social, semi free range black otter mini Rex. Thoughts?
You MUST discipline the rabbit, even if it "hurts their feelings." You need to clearly set the boundaries for what is acceptable and what isn't, and the rabbit needs to clearly understand it. If you don't, you'll end up with a rabbit that will act like an entitled millennial and the rabbit will possibly end up hurting itself by doing things it shouldn't. It's NOT "cruel" -- watch how rabbits interact with each other. They WILL 'correct' a fellow bunny who is doing something they shouldn't. My rabbits also have nipped at me over the years for things they didn't like. The reverse is true as well -- a well-behaved bunny can learn bad behaviors from an undisciplined rabbit.
The problem is most people don't understand how to discipline. You can say "no," but some people thing discipline involves hitting with brooms (happened to a rabbit I met at the shelter).
@@GothMusicLatinAmerica Mine have gotten bopped on the nose, squirted with a squirt gun, and occasionally I'll give them a nip on the ear, but because we established the ground rules early, I rarely have to do anything other than say, "Nooooo..don't do that."
I understand your point of view, but did you really need to say "entitled millennial"? It's just being entitled, my sibling's generation isn't the only one with entitled people in it
She had to change her cover pic for this one after someone pulled her up on copying material from their channel. Why don't youtubers use or create their own material rather than nicking content from smaller channels?!
My vet said u could do both sand and dirt clean not outdoors I spray it damp enough not to make dust and not wet enough to make them dirty make sure they don’t pee in it if so then change it my bunny loves his no issues for 3.5 years
@@RabbitAndTheLabBestFriendsthis may not be the smartest question, but where do you get the sand and dirt? I just don’t want to harm her in anyway. rabbits can have carrots not bunnies they are a treat to them and they love them i have my rabbit in a hutch right now because i have a cat and a dog but the one that would be trying to hunt them the most is the cat so if you have to you can hutch them
My bunny Domino gets very upset when I come home smelling like a dog or cat, every time I get home after petting another dog, cat, or bunny I have to wash my hands or he’ll give me the stink eye 😂❤
How can I possibly do the last infraction: deny my bunny his favorite treat? Uh nope no way, impossible, my bun will just yank it out of my hand if I'm too slow to hand it over. And he'll have whole banana or even whole reeses stick if i even dare try denying him. So not a choice for me.

I'll scratch my bun in that area when she's in the mood and she goes crazy with licking me
Going camping with a rabbit ! We leave a wake a warmed hearts . Well the rabbit does and just stand back and let the rabbit run the show . WasWoo!
Rabbits are such a terrifying animal . I often have nightmares of being chased by a pack of bloodthirsty rabbits 🐇 🫣
I am hopefully going to get a bunny or a rabbit soon since I have to get ride or me other pet since of my family’s asthma
My rabbits when I vacuum or use the blender: 🙂
My rabbits when I sneeze without announcing it first: 😡😡😡
I absolutely agree 👍 I constantly keep a vidgual check on them constantly❤❤❤❤❤
i dont even own a bunny but i love watching your videos XD very cute and informational, will keep these in mind when i get a bunny of my own someday!
Sometimes, considering my rabbit lives in my room with me, we let her in the living room and put my dog away. We haven’t lately but i do remember her reactions. She usually gets a little stressed then calms down but when i go to put her/lead her back to my room shes ready to be done 😂
I suppose you coming home smelling of other rabbits is akin to a husband coming home smelling like a perfume his wife doesn’t wear
i love you Lennon and i love your vids you also taught me all the bunny facts i know
Lennon is an adorable 🐰 bunny!
In the case of my 4 basically me just breathing offends them 😂 I spent my days tip toeing and doing my best to please the bunnies.
On point as usual, thank you!
I like how you emphasized that even smelling like another rabbit can put your bunny into feelings of anxiety and stress.
I adopted a bunny, he got scared when I got home and smelled of dog, made me wonder what had happened to him....😢
I'm probably not anyone to give advice hehe, but make sure to not smell like any foreign animals when hanging around your bunny, being that this can lead to stress and anxiety over territorial behaviors.
My bunny died 6 months ago. i miss him so much
It is difficult not to give my rabbit attention when they look so sweet.
Aren't they adorable. I pick my baby up every time I pass her. Lol
Mine sleeps by the landing to look down at the door so he had the view and he get instantly patted each time we walk by especially when coming in or leaving I even tell him where I’m going and when I’ll be back lol
btw, completely loving the bun channel ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
I would like to add odours,
like scented candles ..
😊
Omg I been watching u for so long now I love your vids and Lennon
Thank you
I love your videos they are so useful I’ve learned a lot I have a bunny named tulip
Love your videos. Just 1 comment about the feeding chart in regards to pellets. 1/4-1/2 cup is way too much for a small 2-4 lb bunny.
Hi Loreli I think the only thing that you said and I have done is trying to cuddle my bunny to much well anyway Lennon is so cute
I love ur videos thank you for saving rabbits
My bunny is like a weird roommate that doesn’t clean anything but fixes my bed
Today it is 2nd of May and my rabbit is at the vets getting neutered
3:32 Especially when they eat their own droppings because rabbits that don’t eat the good poop can get very sick. They may even die!
Thank you for telling me this
I have 4 bunnies and one them just had babies!!!! I’m so happy!!
My heart just broke :( I definitely don't always say hello as soon as I get home. I feel terrible. The thought of her feelings being hurt is so painful.
U cant turn the damn fire alarm off in apartments!
My bunny acts a little like a dog when it comes to belly rubs and scratching his side just in front of his back legs. He responds to the belly rub by licking my hand and he stretches his leg out every time I scratch that spot.
Lorelei's biggest infraction, is not allowing Lennon, a Bunny Companion,jk😅
@@buchholzgraham7061 #LuckyDBunny needs his Loins Milked, cus was humping on my Foot n Forearm, while biting my Wrist..now u can go to #LuckyDBunny @LuckyDBunny & @RobinHoodloom 2C Yer "Dynamics in play"
Do you greet your bunnies with a hello as soon as you walk in the door?
Me - Yes
Do you warn them when you're gonna turn on the blender? 😆
Me - also yes
Hi Lennon .❤
Yes it is important to pay attention to to your bunny. I clean up behind my bunnies and forgot to leave a few of their droppings . Their place was too clean. 😂 So each bunny rearranged their area with their droppings( their personal aroma) They are very spoiled bunnies. And I love spoiling them too.
So you live with rabbit shit everywhere? 🤔
The only thing I do that my Maisy hates is picking her up, but it's only when necessary. For example, Maisy was spayed a little over a week ago, and I have to check her belly to make sure it's healing properly. I know I'm doing it for the right reasons, but I still feel like a big meany for it.
Thank you for the great info!
So we work from home, so much of these tips do not apply to us. We are trying to bond our bunnies at the moment, and we have noticed that when the dominant female digs, then it means that she is frustrated and wants her prospective mate's attention. Buns like ours are impossible!!! 🤣🤣🤣❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Does anyone know the digging compost that one bunny had in the glass enclosure?
Hi you are amazing and the best 💖 i love bunnys they are so cute 🥰
Nice video thank you.🌞
My bun Sadie does something I haven’t seen in other bunnies.
Because she has one bunny and bunny’s do other stuff maybe so yea
Mine are not social. They love each other but get mad at me when I try to love on them
Digging boxes!!! I need to know what is safe to dig??
They can dig in shredded paper or soil. Sand isn’t safe for them to inhale
Thank you so much 😊 🤗
I let our bunny eat/dig at Amazon boxes. I try to get as much tape off of there as I can and he is supervised. 😊
She has had GI stasis and I’m afraid of everything now. That was frightening. Dont want to eat anything she’s not supposed to. Thank you -if you could recommend the kind of dirt or sand you purchase.
I cant let him be on the whole house whole time, but im letting him run on the corridor. He sits in the cage when im eating, im somewhere else (not in house) or when my mom is cooking or cleaning (or something like this). I may buy a leash for him and let him go to plot.
Could you please do a bonding video? I’ve been trying to bond my bonded pair with the baby of one of the bonded pair… it keeps going so badly I’m terrified I won’t be quick enough and someone will get hurt
Hello! 👋 I love your videos,They help alote!I saw you were liking others comments,so I knew I had to leave this comment! So here we go!I have a rescue rabbit 🐇 Named Buddy! Hes pretty up and going, and has alote of trust in me and my family, but he’s still not quite there! I’ve done lots of ur videos and the tips from you! But i need a booster, from you, for my rabbit! This is where we’re at! So I want him to jump up on the couch but he’s to scared. how do I get him to jump on the couch? And also he doesn’t really play. he will Blinky at 1 when my family is awake! I also want him to snuggle with me! Can you make a video for these things?
Hi!! I wanted a bunny about 5 years ago but didn’t know how to take care of one! I used to think rabbits lived in huts and ate carrots!! I came across one of your videos about 3 months before i got my bun I realized I was doing a lot wrong!! But thanks to you s’mores is 2 and is happy and healthy!! And question to anyone who has a bun what do you use for digging boxed if you have one! My bun loves to dig so I think it would be nice to keep him entertained.
rabbits can have carrots not bunnies they are a treat to them and they love them i have my rabbit in a hutch right now because i have a cat and a dog but the one that would be trying to hunt them the most is the cat so if you have to you can hutch them
@@katiefitzgearld8608 hi yes I know they can have carrots as treats but I used to think that was all they would eat!!
i tried to feed my rabbit with salate and he liked it later he comes to me and he wants to cudlle with me🥰🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗
How do we store the hay . Inside of a bin with a top
My bunny Domino gets very upset when I come home smelling like a dog or cat, every time I get home after petting another dog, cat, or bunny I have to wash my hands or he’ll give me the stink eye 😂❤
Very interesting. I hope your laryngitis gets better soon.
Well my bunnies favorite treat is whatever sweet they are trying to rip out of my hands so i dont think ill be giving them chocolate
My two bunnys are in our garden
Hey Lennon the bunny Lady don’t know if you’ll read this but my two bunny’s live in a large x pen and they are let out to run around the spare room there happy but am struggling with coughing and chest infections etc my bunnies have shavings under there hay for the toilet my friend got me paper litter for there toilet and am switching my meadow hay for orchard hay and hoovering instead of sweeping just wondering if you have any other suggestions thank you
I don’t know if this is normal but my bunny HATES being pet on the head but she literally flops over for belly rubs lol she loves them. (How I know she loves them is she makes the sound with her teeth idk what it’s called)
Only way is free rome for all bunnies❤
You have been so helpful. I’m getting ready for adoption for a rabbit . Doing all my homework first
