Good luck at mainline! Do NOT be discouraged if it is not like regional at first. I have lots of FA friends who made the transition and they had an adjustment period. Give it a chance. I hope you find a good home at mainline!
You made the right decision. Best of luck in the next phase of your career! Life is all about challenges and experiences so, believe me, you'll never regret doing this.
Your super attitude regarding your goals is spot on. Work hard, but don't forget to enjoy it as it all happens. Best of luck Ennis and I'm looking forward to your future videos!
Congrats! 🎊 I was at Spirit for a year and then felt the same way that I needed to go to mainline and now I’m at AA!! I felt that having been through training before def helped me in AA training since the terminology is similar, just had to focus on learning the new planes and drills! Good luck you got this 🙌🏼
That was nice you had the first experience on the "Regional" side of flying!! I started with mainline to begin with. Many years ago, living in New York and seeing aircraft flying over me was a dream. Seeing the old Concorde aircraft was simply heaven. So, I wanted to fly and I thought about becoming a Pilot in my teens. Then when I started to look at what colleges to attend, short of going into the Air Force, that top university in Aviation is Embry Riddle. Well, that did not happen, but I did start working and I stated in my hometown city for college. After college and many years later, I still had the passion of flying and wanted to still see the world. So, I started applying to different airlines back in the early and mid 90s. I even applied to Pan Am World Airways, but I did not get passed to second interview. So, I lucked out and got United Airlines Mainline and that was, is, history. I started in 1999 then I took the Purser Leadership Class two year later to become a Purser Flight Attendant really for the extra pay. Then a few months later "9/11 Happened" and that had frozen a lot of other positions that other coworkers wanted to go to at that time in general. Overall, the ability to travel and become a Flight Attendant is a great experience and for me in addition to that, it gave me the ability to see the world and I did!!!!
Best if luck with your new company. Be careful what you post...some airlines are very strict on posting on social media!! The sky is the limit!!! Enjoy 😌
yess i had to adapt on what ive been posting and i took some videos down so that way i do not get in trouble !! youtube can wait i want to make sure to be on a mainline!
A new day, a new adventure! Congrats, always, Ennis! Uh - why was I getting emotional watching the first part of this, lol?!?!?!? I feel like I just left the airline also.
I started my flying journey just like you did! I started inflight with C5 early 2021, and was there for four months before I went to training with UA! I'm now at Delta and even though I miss my United family, just know you're entering during a really exciting time and when there is so much flying being added to the network! Enjoy training, take each day at a time, feed yourself and rest well, and study with other people! Good luck, and see you in the skies!
@@EnnisGomez it’s incredibly stressful, and sometimes very heartbreaking to say goodbye to people who fail out of training. The biggest thing I would say is study and take it seriously - try not to party, or get involved in any drama. Make close friends and be kind to your hotel roommate. You’re gonna have a great time!
@@EnnisGomez Hi Ennis!!! As the instructors will say "trust the process" and "one day at the time", it's because they are leading you to successfully finishing your training. Pactice doors, drills, ACs (Aircrafts) specifications and do the homework books honestly. My advice is, you are there for yourself and for you want to be. Focus on your gaols. Study and then reinforce your knowledge in group. Do not be afraid to ask if you have a question or want to clear a doubt. If the instructors are making emphasis in something in class, for sure that will be an A or a Q in the test. Little by little, read and study the IPP Manual... I had 30 Q out it in my final. Buy a phone desk stand, you will need it. My class created a group in WhatsApp and we use it as support... we ask and answer questions all the time... we are still using it. Good luck and see you in the skies.
Congratulations! You are going in with the right attitude and focus. It’s only 6 weeks, shut out the distractions and you will do great. You will hear ot over and over, “trust the process”, they want you to succeed. Study buddies and sleep are essential! Now, go get those wings! ✈️
Mainline carriers have a strict social media policy. Plus, probation is super stringent. Combined with the fact that you will be flying with a bunch of tattle-tale Karens, it may not be a good idea to vlog your f/a job. 100% your airline will be creeping on your videos, watching every second of them, looking for you to do something wrong.
Cant wait for your Mainline chapter to start! And us OG subscribers will be able to see you grow and say that we’ve been here since your regional days and look back at it and see how far you’ve gotten! I feel like I comment on all your videos lol! Cheers bro!
I wish you all the best. Being on a bigger plane has its advantages and disadvantages but enjoy your journey. Looking forward to your videos from Mainline ❤
But it was FUN while it lasted!!!!!!😃😃😃 I hear you talking a lot about "regional" airports: what makes an airport only "regional"? I graduated from Liberty U in VA & see Lynchburg has only a regional airport, but some international flights happen all the time.
I moved from my regional to a mainline over the summer! I definitely miss regional life and the 145 but I’m so happy where I’m at now. New subscriber here. I can’t wait for all of your adventures!
You made the right decision becos the world is your oyster ... You will see the world since you are young. At 64 I have been traveling the world since young from the 707 to my first 747 flight in 1979 and the rest is history. Since borders opened in Singapore like 6 mths ago I have made 8 trips already and 2 more to go to complete the year with a bang. I pray for your success then again you will be a success as you seem like a cool young guy with great attitude. Skills can be trained but attitude you got it because you got great folks that love you! All the best and happy holidays from Singapore. If you ever in the neighbourhood shout out and let me show you the real Singapore! Btw I lived in the USA for 7 years including my college years at UNLV ! 🇸🇬❤️🇺🇸
I felt the same way you feel about leaving regional when I left my gate agent position. But it’s on to bigger and better things. Can’t wait to see you on the line!
And yeah 145 but you gonna fly in 777 with massive engines, GE90. It’s amazing and my favorite airliner is B757. Yaasss. So happy for you. And look forward to your reserve experience here on RUclips in three months. You got this, Ennis.
Good for you Ennis! I wish you the very best for your future flying career! My favorite commuter planes I’ve flown on were the CRJ 200’s. Really comfortable for a smaller commuter jet! That was on Northwest Air Link. My personal best for you always Ennis! Looking forward to seeing future video updates! With full respect always! Mark in Iowa.
